I hard reset my phone as I was having problems. So, I did a Sprite backup and restore my settings after my phone was rebooted. I have two email accounts that was set up prior to that, Yahoo and Gmail. But, after I did a Sprite restore, I can see two envelopes for those two accounts in TF3D but I can't access them. Is there a way to delete these two accounts and start over again with the email setup? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I deleted my messaging account that I sync via wifi to verizon.net on my ipaq 210 because I was having some problems sending messages and I figured I would start from scratch. However, when I tap on the new account setup option, it goes directly to the default outlook email account on the ipaq. I cannot find any options anymore that it will configure my messaging setup as it did in the past. Tapping on the add new account option in messaging does nothing except, again, bring me to the default outlook email.
Soft resets does not help. I would like to avoid a hard reset if at all possible. no new software installed except bejeweled 2 a few weeks ago.
any ideas besides hard resetting?

The Hero has a Gmail and mail option. What is the difference? How can I change the Gmail address that I initially put in when I bought the phone? I have 3 gmail addresses and I want to change the Gmail address I put in when I bought it to a different one.

The Gmail app will Push your email, while the Mail app has to be set up as POP3 and will only poll on a set time period.
As for Changing the email address associated with the phone, you need to do a Factory reset, which will leave everything on your SD card intact, but will remove the Market and Gmail settings (including calendar, contacts and email) along with all of your installed apps.
Settings > Security > Factory Data Reset > Reset Phone
How do I perform a factory reset, and will it unroot my phone? Also, once you buy an app from the market and you do a factory restore, do you have to buy the apps again?

On the recovery screen do a data wipe, you wont loose root. Paid market apps are associated to your card I think, so those should still show up as paid for when you open the market again.
How do i sync sms and contacts with htcsense.com ?
I can log in to htcsense.com and make my phone ring and i can lock the phone.
But i want the rest that is shown in this video.

I don't know when they stopped having it look like that, but I think it automatically syncs.
I exchanged my Sensation today & when I signed in the my htcsense account on my phone it started to sync the contacts & texts back to my phone. I really wish there was a way to disable it actually.
You can disable sync, but then you will not be able to track your phone i guess.
I don't understand why i can't see all options.
If I'm going to do a hard reset, then i want to know if my data is in sync with htcsense.com or not...
see that's what sucks. I'd like it to be synced to htcsense, but I don't want my contacts/sms synced. i hope they fix that. right now if I sync it up then it will pull down my contacts & there will be duplicates which I don't want.
After sync with htcsense.com, I did a hard reset of the phone.
The contacts and the messages was not restored to my phone when i again performed a sync with htcsense.com
There was no important sms on my phone and i had all my contacts synchronized with gmail, so no problem losing it.
Apps was not restored when logging on to marked.

This was a new one for me and i hope its a one off.
I was reading my emails using the undread option across mutiple accounts and once i had read them all and switched back to all mails view all of my mails had gone from the device.
I then exited mail and went back into it and it showed the setup account choices screen.
I checked settings and accounts and they were all still there with a green sync icon but checking the mail app they were not showing as registered.
The only fix i could find was a factory reset.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a better fix? I have searched the forums and found nothing so far.

This also has happened to me multiple times. I had 2 accounts: exchange for work and pop/smtp for home email. Mail client crashed (do not remember exactly what i was doing) and upon re starting it i was presented with the screen to set up mail accounts.
Checking the Account & Sync in Settings listed both accounts, but the mail client was unaware of them.
First time this happened I simply re-entered account details in the mail client and everything worked.
Second time it happened I could enter the exchange account details but client reported that it could not connect.
This required a factory reset to fix. Called north american support line, they had no record of this problem on file & suggested I use k9 client due to history of mail client issues on other devices. I could not get k9 to work on exchange.
When it happened the third time, I was able to reenter the accounts into the email client again and things worked.
I am now evaluating touchdown mail client for exchange. I use the gmail client for some other accounts and it works fine.
Hello. Yesterday I changed my gmail password so I had to update it on my android as well. I wanted to do this but instead of changing the password I deleted my gmail account from the android. Now I set the gmail back up with my phone and I don't see my phone contacts(phone numbers) any more.. There are just some facebook/skype contact in my contact list now.
I had my phone to save them on my gmail account because this seemed convenient. Is there a way to get them back? I tried looking at my gmail contacts on my computer and there are none there, I tried the restore contacts option but it didn't bring any up.
Is there anything I can do?
