Hey guys, two questions about opera:
1- there is a school website that i visit regularly, and on the homepage you can usually see the most recent posts in the forum. The problem is that i cant see those posts when i go there usuing at&t connection, but they show up fine when i go there on wifi. Whats the difference? Is there something i can change?
2- this is just real annoying...when i go to a page, opera seems to keep moving the window down and to the right while the page is loading. If i double click to zoom in, the window will start moving all over the place. I find myself either waiting for the page to totally stop loading, or manually stopping it. Is anybody else having this problem? Any solutions? Thanks
omar
not sure about your #1, but #2 is basically just annoying quirks in the application. It is still opera beta, so its not perfect yet. If your looking for an alternative you might wanna try skyfire. If you type in get.skyfire.com right in opera you can get a cab for it. That may solve your #1 also since skyfire pre-renders the pages for you and they dont use a proxy like opera does.
Hope that helps.

It would also help if you really are from the US, if you spoke English. What does "test for web page forums" mean?
If I were to guess what you are asking; It sounds as if your ATT network connections are not set up correctly or the settings do not match your ATT data plan....
Ok i don't know why the title screwed up. Yes im from the US. No all my att network settings work fine. Net, MMs, Phone etc. all is good. It is just when i navigate to a web page say like here and want to post a reply it will show the html box Just like im typing in now, But i cannot type in it. Also on other forums it does this also.
Hi - is it possieto erase OPERA in order to work only with IE ?
I takes always long `til opera is opened !
What do you think?
thanks

Not really sure if i'm understanding you correctly but you want to get rid of Opera? If that's the case and Opera and "stoned" into the ROM, you can't delete it. If you added it manually, you can remove it via start>settings>system>remove programs.
If Ican`t get rid of it can I mke IE my first choice ref. widows live searches ?
Yes you can, however it's a regedit and it's being discussed here. As soon as i find the right key, i'll report back here so that you can make PIE default
X7510 running stock ROM, WM 6.1.
When I go to start Opera, or click on a link in an email, the flash screen starts up, the graphic works on the flash screen, then nothing, the app itself refuses to launch. Yes I have tried a soft reset.
As a workaround, how could I make something else the default browser, like Netfront Access, so that it would automatically start when I click on a web link?
thanks

try setting
try setting, personal then buttons from there you can change it to any browser you have installed,so when you hold on to home button it should open up the browser that you set.
thanks, that works, but the problem is that if I click on a link in an email, it automatically tries to open Opera, and of course fails. I would like it to open the beta of Netfront Access, or even a different beta of Opera, but at least to open some working browser that goes to the link!!
Is there some way of setting the default browser in the registry?
thanks

I don't think you can- and it frustrates the hell out of me as well
I want to use Netfront for all browser activity and I have it set as the default browser, but any web links within emails still open Opera. I've tried going right through the registry changing all the references to Opera to point to Netfront but it still happens so there must be a hard coded instruction somewhere!
thanks - I tried the latest beta of Opera, but it too failed saying that it couldn't initiate DirectDraw, whavever that may mean.
I have re-loaded now, see what happens.
thanks - and I agree with the frustration over app associations!

I have this problem with opera and opening links, using like 5 different rss readers, ive used spb, sbsh and a few others.
The problem is i cant open any links because opera keeps putting file:localhost/ in front of the url. I dont know if opera thinks the website is located on my phone?
strange,,, can anyone help me?
thanks in advance
This was happening to me when trying to use push page bookmarks with an old version of Opera. I upgraded to version 9.5 16xxx and the problem was fixed.
thanks a lot, the update solved the problem. I found this version of opera a little faster but also a little less stable.,
Hi guys, I'm new to the site and I've tried to search for this but cam up empty handed. i also wasn't quite sure where to post this so I do apologize in advance if this needed/needs to be somewhere else. I recently installed XannyTech's EVOLUTION 2.3 rom in my HD2 and love it, however when I go into the opera browser some of it seems to be "grainy" or "pixilized" when zoomed in some. most of the text will look just fine but for instance the "google" logo on google.com will look pretty distorted..my question is, is there a way to maybe get a new version or overwrite the version of opera to see if I can get it back to how it originally was? Or is there an even better 3rd party browser I can get and start using? Something with pinch zoom and flash perhaps?? Thanks for any advise or answers it is very much appreciated and sorry again if I happened to post this in the wrong spot :/
Moved as not software release.
I am quite pleased with Opera, try to install a different version and see if tthat fixes the issue.
