As we know that both blue angel and magician carry windows 2003 se
i tried to instill the newer rom of blue angel which is 2005 and 2006 on my magician and it were done but not work
it gives vibration when we finish instillation
if any one can help to get it correctly he/she will resolve a BIG issue

What you've done was not very clever, because you've probably corrupted the magician's bootloader and bricked your phone...
Htc magician is not compatible with WM5 or WM6!
It has been said millions of times!
Try reinstalling a magician rom from this page http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Magician and cross your fingers...

jontxudino: I don't think you need to cross post (ie same thread more than once).
I've never tried the Himalaya, but as I understand it, if you're happy with the screen, the Magician is a perfectly competent WM2003 device. I love it. But if you want an upgradeable device, or a bigger screen, Himalaya is meant to be quite good.

A guy from UK who claims to be official "Orange phone trainer" (Orange is a mobile operator in UK) claims that Orange Academy both Microsoft trainer and Orange employees were claiming that ROM upgrade for Orange SPV M500 Pocket PC phone (also for C550 smartphone) is coming.
If this would happen, then also users of other HTC Magician phones (like i-mate JAM, T-Mobile MDA Compact, Vodafone VPA Compact, Qtek S100, etc):
... would also be able to upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0!
as posted under the smartphone main section, I was at the Orange Academy today. Good news to come from the event is that Microsoft and Orange are currently busy preparing a WM5 upgrade for both the C550 and the M500!
We were obviously told not to tell the general public, as they want us to push the C600 and the M5000, but for existing owners, this is fantastic news
I own an M500 and he was blatantly waving one around in front of my eyes saying "Both these devices will have WM5 on them in the coming months..."
So god knows.. he did seem to know what he was talking about tho, being a MS Trainer and all.

In the meantime, if you really want WM5 or 6 or 7, go buy an expensive phone with half the mhz and more RAM that WM5 doesnt let you use, just because it has that damm gps you really have much use for and its not to show-off all your friends.

I believe this rumour came out about a year ago from another forum, and still nothing. i will see it when i believe it.
Don't think it's going to happen. The only way that this device will get WM5 is if someone cooks a successful rom.

im pretty sure that this is an MDA Compact II or the HTC Charmer and not a magician, because i find it illogical that a telco will still produce a rom upgrade for a very old device which no retailer is selling anymore, and while i still entertain the thought that it may be an unofficial WM5 Rom, still, i would doubt it. Such a rom would have been posted already here.

It is better to hear no information instead of misinformation. There will never be WM5 on magician .
Come on now, I have been reading WM5 posts for Magician from a year. Fed up now. Magician is a very old device. Dont think there will be a WM5 for it. Even WM6 is released long back. So if Magician had to have a WM5, it would have come out long back.
Why dont you guys try to load Google's Android on Magician. Would be much better

Hi, I am new here and to windows mobile. I just purchased a HTC Tornado and I am looking for a thread that tells me how to upgrade it from WM5 to WM6. The problem is, when I search for HTC Tornado all the threads show a different Tornado phone then what I have. I have the HTC Tornado from Tmobile. Would I upgrade it the same way you upgrade the Tornado I keep seeing in this section?? Do I have a older model or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I attached a picture of the Torando that I have.

You have a regular Tornado, simply the music edition. It's identical to mine and you can use without problem any of the WM6 that are available here
The insides are the same as the tornado, T-Mobile just puts their case on it. Many companies do the same.
I have the exact same version. Also called SP5m for the music edition. Be *very* careful to burn only those ROMS made for the Tornado. HTC Faraday for example looks very similar and many people have "bricked" their phone (made it totally useless) by installing that ROM.

It is the same HTC Tornado as any other. It has the exact same specs and features. The only differenece is the case. You can use any ROM for HTC Tornado.
other tornado don't have special buttons(play, next, previous), but they play music just the same as your SP5m does. ROMs are programs to upgrade your OS(operating system), it's like changing the PC OS from XP to Vista having a special software to help you do that more easily, there is no forum/section for newbs, as an advice, read all FAQs and other instructions here in Tornado section, and when you think you are ready - upgrade you WM5 to WM6, but if you aren't sure in smth better ask here before you make a step in nowhere..

WM6 is lot better than WM5. I like it lot more. And it is not hard to upgrade to WM6. Basically you just need to superCID your phone, format BINFS and run the ROM Update Utility. Read this for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=324557
