[Q] HTC Skinned connect screen - Touch Pro, Fuze General

After running Internet Sharing with my computer I no longer get the nice looking HTC prompt on how I want to connect (ActiveSync, Storage Device, etc.).
Is there any way to get this back? I have deleted my activesync profile on both the device and machine. All I get now is the standard WM "Connect To" message. Thanks.

So here is an image of what I used to see...

But now all I get is the default WinMo Connect to dialog, someone has gotta know how to fix this. Also I have checked to make sure that in settings>usb to pc that "Ask about connection type when I connect" is checked, yet it never asks. Any help would be appreciated.

Samsung SCH i760 won't connect to PC

I recently got my new samsung i760 from a friend (he didn't like it).
Anyways, he didn't bother to include any kind of instalation CD or usb cable so I ordered the USB cable. It came in the mail today, and when I tried to connect it to my PC it did that "add new hardware" thing and failed. So I searched on Samsung's website and downloaded Samsung PC Studio 3. When I installed it, I saw a message saying "please don't hook your phone up to the PC until after the instalation" or something like that so I took out the cable. It installed and I put the cable back in and it still gave me the "add new hardware thing and at the bottom of PC Studio it said "not connected" even when I turned on ActiveSync.

I restarted the phone and my computer and still no luck. And during the installation I had some errors about stuff being different in driver.cab but I clicked ignore, could this be the problem?
Does anyone know a place to download the necessary software to make it be able to connect?
what computer are you using. for vista, you need windows mobile device center and for xp, you need activesync. both are available at microsoft.

[Q] BUG 2.2.1 - Connect to PC - Default connection type

Hi,
UPDATE: Fixed my issue by going into recovery and doing a factory reset.
After updating to 2.2.1
It now always switches to Mass storage device when connected to USB, but displays "Charge only" in the taskbar. I have already tried a Hard reset and changed the preferred connection type.
I have to switch to "Disk drive" in the taskbar and then back to "Charge only" for it to REALLY be in "Charge only"
Anyone else having the issue?
I was incorrect! I loose access to my SD card from both the phone and my PC every time I connect the phone to PC. It displays "Charging only" as the status.

Anyone?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I can't even browse my SC Card on the computer.
You should be able to if you change to charge only and then back to Drive from the taskbar
Nope. When I plug into my computer I don't get any prompt on my phone.

Never mind, I just had to restart the phone. I keep forgetting that powering off doesn't really turn the phone off.

I would suggest asking about it on the forum thread for your ROM.
Error 500, assuming that's coming from either the Facebook or Windows Live servers, just means "internal server error" and is about as generic an error message as a webserver can give. Really the only thing it tells you is that either your request was so incorrectly formed that the server experienced an internal exception (or similar) while trying to process it, *or* the server is down for some unrelated reason.
In the second case, it should be back within hours, at worst. In the first case, I'd expect other people with your ROM to have the same problem. I haven't heard of any other cases of that problem, so check around.
Thank you for your answer. The key was the connection of live id and facebook account. I had to do this on my live settings and now it working.

[Q] Can't get USB Mass Storage To Run Properly Cyanogenmod 10.2 (Stable Release)

Hello all there. Was wondering if anyone could help solve problem. Currently running Cyanogenmod 10.2 Stable Release and noticed the USB Mass Storage isn't an option under the notification settings while connected to a computer. After lots of reading (including some forums on here), I went into the About Phone option in the setting and tapped on the build number numerous times to bring up the Developer Options once in there I enabled USB Debugging which should have solved my problem right there, but no luck. After some further reading I went ahead and installed some USB mode switcher apps in which Windows was able to recognize my phone as two separate drives but for some reason kept telling me to insert the drives every time I tried to open one of them. The drives are also being displayed as shaded and not full colored as they should be. I've attached a picture to help describe what I'm talking about.

Windows 10 USB Issue with TF700 (With Pictures)

I recently upgraded both of my computers to Windows 10 and have been moving some files over to my TF700 via USB. Yesterday my computer just stopped recognizing it as a USB device.

I uninstalled the driver and tried going back in and installing it manually by selecting 'Asus Android Device' and this list popped up:
I've tried several of them and it still doesn't show up as a USB device. Any ideas? I'm confused because it was showing up fine one day and then I plugged it in the next and it won't show up.
Did you try to reboot both devices?
Try different USB ports

Yeah I've tried both of those. No clue what could have changed overnight.
Me neither. But I recently read about a guy who had to uninstall another device's sync utility to get adb/fastboot back. Maybe something along those lines?
In a pinch you can use a live Linux CD like this one: http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...t/46090-guide-adb-fastboot-linux-live-cd.html
