how is the quality? I was going to post this in one of the movie threads but thought this would catch a wider audience.
I do not own a slingbox, I am guessing the Slingbox Solo would be fine for my purposes.

i have the solo & use the mobile app it depends on the avaible bandwidth

Lucky you for owning or at least testing all that devices! I like the 3G acceleration in your article

Yeah, a pretty expensive pastime (Unfortunately, I make very little, if any, money out of this... some free hardware now and then - mostly from the Pocket PC Mag / Smartphone Mag / iPhone Life folks -, but that's all.) That is, I need to pay for most of my toys myself.
Nice work- good read
Is there any where, any how, I can watch the Tour De France on my HTC TP2 mobile phone?

I don't know how to watch it LIVE, but Versus.com usually has the recap videos after the stage is over with.
Offtopic...who are you going for? The big boys start to unleash hell tomorrow
If you are in uk.
If it is on freeview.
m.tvcatchup.com
Streams freeview channels to your phone, live.
i watch it recorded on versus every night. i have always played sports but never much of a watcher and never ridden a bike competitivy but i have been addictived to the tour for several years. amazing what these men go through and then get back on the bike. it also helps that it is beaufiful scenery, in hd, and the commentators on versus are excellent. they know the race, the sprt, the personalities, and they gave information about all the sourrounding areas.
of coursr i want lance to win and cannot wait to see if he gains some time today. my money would be on alberto contador. he just looks so strong. don't think andy schlek has the heart. cadel evans is positioned well and could win if alberto has a mishap. and chavanel looks good on the sprints and the low foothills. waitingto see what he does today. just hope lance has some of his teammates with him durung the hard climbs. he was all by himself yesterday in the foothills. not a good sign.
...it was painful to watch the stage today
we're seeing official apps for everything else, but what about a playstation network app? theres apps to support googles gtalk and google's youtube why not a playstation network app? i really dont care the xbox integration since i have a ps3
That would depend on if MS wants to support a rival gaming platform. Possibly, if they wanted to draw more people into the phone and thus the ecosystem, picking up new xboxers along the way.
Possibly not if the benefits/profit/new users versus the detriments are not heavily weighted toward the beneficial side. But many who own the PS3 also have an Xbox. I, personally, have neither. But, if I ever bought one, it'd be an Xbox. I'm just not gonna pay $500-$600 for a video game console (PS3).
I don't think there is anything stopping someone from creating an app but as far as native support I believe there is no chance in hell it's going to happen. This is about ecosystems and Microsoft has their own.
Eventually as WP7 gains traction Sony will have to address it with some type of App. I wouldn't expect gaming integration with PS3 because XBL is deeply rooted in.

ps3 is $299 now
I think he meant the PlayStation Suite App, just like the one for iPhone/iPod Touch and Android. The only thing the app does is let you see who's online and what are they playing, some news, blogs, and media stuff.
It depends on either Sony and Microsoft whether they should build an app for WP7, but the PS Suite app you see on iPod/iPhones doesn't let you play PS games, its rather like a social app, so Sony might develop one for WP7 and Microsoft might approve it as well since it will less likely/have no affect on gaming on WP7.
Just think of it as the IGN app on WP7.
Well folks its that time of the year again, and I must have updates for my football. Last year we had a great app, but it doesn't work anymore. Any progression on a new one?

A beer to the fellow who gets this running on the EVO 4G!
I second that ^
There is a new NFL app in the market. I personally have it tried, but it should be fine to score updates and news. There is always the Sprint Football TV app; it will stream college football games on EPSN mobile TV. No NFL.
If you're looking to streaming of NFL games, I've read someone is trying to hack the verizon app, but the security is lot more evolved compared to last year; it also requires a verification you have the subscription with verizon too.
There are two other options to get NFL game streamed to your phone. One would be the DirectTV moble app for Sunday Ticket. I personally haven't used it because I don't have don't have directTV. I did look the mobile part, and there was a fifty dollar fee to have mobile access. Not a cheap.
Another option, also not cheap, is from the NFL, which is the NFL Game Pass mobile. I did a post in another thread in this subforum
there is an app that works from the NFL (NFL Game Pass mobile XDA thread. It works great, and even has access to game replays.
There are two covets though:
1) only available outside the United States, Mexico, Bermuda, Antigua, the Bahamas, and any U.S. territories, possessions and commonwealths.
2) must be Game Pass subscriber to use. It does give free 2 minute preview.
I don't know how much verizon's thing costs. Game Pass isn't exactly cheap; it's $250, which is cheaper than Sunday Ticket on both DirectTV and PS; the directtv mobile is an additional $50.
Other helpful information:

3) how to use blacked out services on mobile devices: free version or donate version

hi guys,
My name is Absame and I am U.K citizen with Somali descent. My parents came to U.K in 1990 during the Somali civil war. Since then we have been residing in London, there's a big Somali community in U.K in general and in London in Particular.
I wanted to watch Somali TV channels and also Arabic TV channels so I bought ZaapTV in the middle of 2013. ZaaptV was telling all the clients that this box is an one time fee box without any annual or monthly fees, but in 2014 they changed their mind. They decided to start to force the clients to upgrade to the new models and to start paying monthly fee for using their services. I was really disappointed with that change of rules.
This was why I decided to stop their service and want to find out a better box to replace it. Could anyone recommend me the best IPTV box to watch Arabic and Somalian channels? I'd prefer it to work without buffering and freezing.
Some of the channels I'd love to watch are:
Sky sport
Skye Movies
Bein Sport
and a lot of Somali channels. (Universal TV, Somaliland, Royal Somali, and so on)
Thank you so much for your detailed reply!
hey, one of my friends just bought an Android IPTV box called Easybox Arabia from Amazon. It got all arabic channels like bein sport, osn, art, mbc. Many of the channels in HD quality.
What’s the difference between Easybox IPTV and the other IPTV boxes? Does it receive good reviews from users? can you show me some? thanks!

- Premium severs based in USA, Canada, Australia and Europe.
- it's the most sold IPTV box on Amazon and eBay. (with 9/10 stars)
Easybox IPTV has been. awarded with several best in test awards. The latest one is from TestKingz. :good:

Sorry, I am not an IPTV box seller, but you can get it directly from Easybox TV. There are a lot of models for your different needs. Just take a look at it and make your own decision. Good luck!
