Top menu - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Not sure what's happened but I've been testing out my new XDA Serra and noticed an additional clock on the top bar that I'm sure wasn't there yesterday.
Top right where it shoes the GPRS or HSDPA and signal strength, I now have a box with the time sat on top of what I think must be the battery icon but says 100%.
Is this correct? just that when the time alters the clock flashes to a white box and I'm sure it wasn't there yesterday.
Thanks

Toolbar utulity

Hi all,
Can you help me find this utility I used to have?
It would display your running programs in the top toolbar and would display the battery power as a bar along the top of the screen (and keep the clock in the top right corner).
I can't remember what it was called, and lost it when I dropped my old XDA Exec.
Have new Exec - and would like to reload this really useful bit of kit.
Have searched on the web, but to no avail...
Ta,
Mike.
Levenum's was a superb one, and I think it also got mashed up by someone else after.

Cheers for that - Magic Button was the one...
When I installed it on my XDA, it automatically put the battery bar on the top of the screen as a white bar indicating battery life.
I still can't seem to get the clock in the taskbar full time though - it is there when running a program, but disappears when you go to the home page.
Any Ideas?
Mike.

[Q] WM6.1 click taskbar icon to show more detail e.g. battery -> % remaining

Hi,
I've recently purchased a HTC Touch Pro 2 running WM6.1. Before that I was on a Palm Treo 750 on WM6.0, and on the Palm when I touched the battery icon it would pop up an info bubble showing the % remaining. For that matter any of the other icons in the taskbar I clicked on popped up an info bubble. It just makes sense - icon provides basic info, if you want more detail click on it, simple. I presumed this was normal behaviour until I came to the HTC, and now when I click on the battery icon (or network icon or speaker icon for that matter) I just get a 'Notifications' screen which tells me nothing about the battery (or speaker, and not much about the network).
The battery icon itself on the Palm had a smooth decline from 100% to 0% rather than the HTC one which has just 4 fat bars. I know there are numerous other icons out there but I guess my question goes beyond just the appearance of the battery icon to the functionality of the whole taskbar.
How do I go about restoring the 'sensible' functionality of the Palm on the HTC?
Thanks,
Greg

What's going on when the radio's indicator is green or white?

I've noticed this but couldn't figure it out. 1x, 3g, 4g, and wifi will show up white in the beginning and then go green. Now, I have 1 bar 4g signal and 2 bars whatever signal right next to it but they have been staying white for a while now. I have throughput all this time so it's not an indicator if the net connection is there or not. Someone have an explanation?
disable background data and youll notice the indicators remain white. green will indicate bg data is enabled and connection to google services(not necessarily meaning data is being transmitted)

Click to collapse
Green is when it's connected to Google.
Yeah, but this is happening on it's own. I just saw a different combination, green 4g and white signal bar to the right of that.

wifi icon in notification bar on ICS

I've updated to the official HTC ICS release, using the flashable ROMs created on here from the OTA file.
All is great, loving ICS so far.
One thing I've noticed, the little icon on the top bar to show I am connected to a wifi point is grey, with just the little circle bit white , as though it was a low signal strength. This is with it next to the router. Apps like network signal info aren't showing any signal %age at all, not even a 0. It's working fine though, speedtest apps give excellent scores.
When I go into wifi settings and scan for access points, those are correct. My router is fully white, whilst ones around on the street are various levels of whiteness.
It's just that notification icon, and the signal strength in apps, that is not showing.
Any ideas?
Reboot, and then it's back to normal.

Are you kidding? As the phone is rebooting I'm thinking did they mean the phone or the router. When the phone comes back on and all my bars are there I'm like could it have been simpler? No I guess it couldn't have.
