Hi I'm having trouble with CE in landscape mode, when i type the character list is cut off in landscape mode.
does anyone know how to fix this?
i think this has to do with the enlarged menus. Is there anyway to disable them only during texting?
If not, is there a way to get the characters to display lower?
I notice if i'm in portrait mode and i type in a character, then open it to landscape mode the different characters do display correctly.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I'm developing a windows mobile application for the htc touch pro and I'd like to be able to lock the screen in portrait view. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the landscape view then the keyboard is slid out?
try this:
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but if you just want to prevent the useless popup in landscape mode, than just change this reg-key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\EnableLandscape from "true" to "false"
Is there a way to force landscape mode before opening a program - preferably within the touch-flo interface?
Before switching to the Touch Pro - I'd rotate my 6700's interface to landscape mode using the onscreen button, then I'd start my GPS program Iguidance (for example).
With the Touch Pro - the only way I can make Iguidance run in landscape mode, is by opening up the keyboard. But then the phone doesn't fit in it's dashboard clamp.
I've also had problems with certain websites where Opera would not recognize the orientation I have my phone turned to - and the page stayed in portrait mode.
Any suggestions?

try the program gyrator 2 that is on here it lets you turn the screen in any program and go to landscape
Can anyone let me know what is causing this problem on my phone??
I want to run landscape mode but every time I enable Landscape it leave me with screen problem (The photo attach are screen shots for my phone running in land scape mode [right side is the bottom], where the black screen is the home screen, the photo tab and music tab are also mess up.)
I mean my phone runs perfectly fine in portrait mode but once I enable landscape I have problem
I tried enable landscape with bsb tweaks, Touch tools, Gconfig and all 3 program leave me with the same screen problem. (I can enable landscape and turn off rotation but that is just portrait mode again.)
I am using official Traditional Chinese rom:
manila 2.5.1921161930
(I have CHT install)
And I really want to figure out how to run the phone in landscape mode without have to deal with a black screen on home screen. Can anyone help me???
You are using Windows Mobile 6.5. You cannot rotate these features in 6.5 unfortunately.
If you want to change this... grab yourself a new ROM... and flash it.
so i need 6.5X??? That blows.....
Is going to be hard to find a good Rom that support traditional Chinese....
Is it a way to default the display mode to landscape when I lay down the g-tablet? Everytime, when I put it down flat, it change the display mode to portrait.
Also, in some sites (http://www.nytimes.com/), the contrast of the screen is sooooo bad (maybe, just my eyes) in the portrait mode, but it looks great in landscape. Is it a hardware defect or something software can fix?
I use a toggle widget from the market to turn off/on the auto-rotate setting
DEX seems to have no option for portrait. With screen mirroring, I noticed rotating the phone puts it into portrait mode. However, the USB C monitor does not get a true portrait. (It is just as it would be on a TV with the orientation in landscape but a small window in the middle when the phone is in portrait mode). I know that some USB C monitors also have a gravity sensor but mine does not. In windows, it is easily done in the display settings.
I tried a few apps like SecondScreen but they all just end up doing the same thing. Portrait mode is displayed in landscape orientation in the middle of the screen. There seems to be no way to get a true lengthwise portrait mode. I want this for reading PDFs on the go. Does anyone know of a way to do this??

Not that I know of. DeX was not designed to work in portrait mode. If you want to read PDFs in portrait mode on the go, you can't do it in DeX; you have to be in normal tablet mode.
