New storage card for Herald - General Questions and Answers

Good mornin' lads,
I guess this issue is best placed in the Q&A thread, correct me if I'm wrong. Im acutally seeking for a new storage card for my beloved Herald but I'm not sure whether to use SD or SDHC. What is the maximum my Herald is capable to manage? Will I be able to run a 8GiB SDHC? And what about all the apps that are already installed on my current storage card. Will I be able to just copy them onto the new one or will I have to set up my system anew?
Click for my suggestion.
Cheers

PDADB.net do not specify the herlad being able to support SDHC so you probably won't be able to use one.
if they found a solution to it, it would probably be posted in the Herald section in the forum.
I suggest you go there and either post a thread asking about it, or search for a thread discussing the issue.
generally, and it's only a suggestion of course, you should ask questions regarding specific devices in the specific device's forum since most problems and solutions concerning a specific device are probably posted there already and since people in that device's section are more familiar with it.
about the apps, yes, you can just copy them.

MicroSD card

Since I hijacked a thread and it got closed since it was irrelavent to the subsection I have come here. I didn't want to create another thread so I hijacked a useless one. But if someone could answer my question it'd be appreciated. Problem is, I put the .nbh on the reformated SD card, insert it run bootloader, it wont flash via SD card, it doesn't read the contents. Yes, I put it on as KAISIMG.nbh, I have formated it to FAT32, I have my phone HardSPL, I dont understand I've read the instructions like 30 times. Plus I've been flashing since 8125 and flash my friends 8525 periodically this way. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
change the card
One step ahead of you... doesn't work
I saw that you already search and learn... good.
But it's against the rule to post in the new thread, since there existing thread discussing it. Why don't you post in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336158&highlight=sd+card+flash . Many already discuss there, so maybe someone has the same problem and can solve it for you.

Need help with some sounds.

Hey there all I just need some help I have some sounds that are from the hero and magic official roms that I have collected from these forums. instead of running off SDcard I want them on the phones memory since I have a MT3g I have plenty of mem and don't run BIG apps.
What I have been doing is running ADB and pushing files from my hard drive to the phones memory in /system/media/audio/ directory. I have to do this every time I re flash a rom. I would like to make this easy by flashing it from zip or in an APK if possible... Do you guys think this would be possible?
First of all, wrong forum. Please post questions like this in the General forum.
Secondly, you can create a folder on your SD card called 'media' and store your files there in the same structure as you'd put them on your ROM system area.
It'll still find them there.
OOps sorry I will post over there. I thought since it had to do with flashing or building an APK it would be fine here.
I have run if from my Class 6 SD like that but I still get a delay for notifications. So as I said I dont want to run from SD.
But thanks..

[Q] opera 10 cahce to storage card?

This question probably has been asked 1000 times before, but I can't find a decent answer:
How to move the Opera cache to the Storage Folder?
My program is already located in the Storage Card, but my (older) HTC P4350 has not enough memory to keep it running...
Or is there an other solution?

[Completed] TWRP not seeing External Storage

Hello All. I’ve run into an issue with my new Moto G4+. I rooted the phone a couple of weeks ago and all was well with that. I downloaded the AOKP rom last Friday and was going to flash it over the weekend. To my surprise, TWRP does no see my external SD card so I can’t do a backup. The internal storage does not have enough space to backup. I have the 16gb model. I can see/use the SD card with no problem when the phone is running. I’ve searched the forums for a solution, but the only thing I’ve found is to format the SD card as internal storage. However, folks seem to be really, really divided on this solution. I really want to flash AOKP, but I need to do a Nandroid backup first. I tried doing an on-line backup with the TWRP app, but it doesn’t provide me with an MD5 for verification. Any help with getting TWRP in recovery mode to see the SD card would be greatly appreciated. TWRP file manager and terminal allow me to see the card (sdcard1 is its name in TWRP recovery), but it does not show up for "select storage" or "mount" options.
Thanks.
