i have a fuze i flashed romeOS and put a new theme on. at this point there are no softkeys
any way to add them?

I've noticed this on a stock ROM with one of the HTC Black themes too. No help, I know but at least it gives this thread a bump!

I would recommend that you post your question wherever you got the theme and the rom from, respectively. More eyeballs mean you're more likely to get an answer.

I think you've posted in the wrong section bro. This would probably go in the main Android thread. It's not really HD2 Specific, or even related to WindowsMobile; which this section is for

as far as i know it is i dont think its working on the hero yet unless im wrong

so am im wrong is it working not to be mean or rude but this right here is y all the developers dont post stuff up like they should people just jump in for no reason and post negative stuff dont get me wrong some stuff is crazy that they post up on here so if im wrong i would be happy to pull it down does not matter to me just trying to help so please let me know

no no no, I'm not jumping, that's why I asked a question and didn't say mean things or call you names (I've been known to do that). There is a thread I just linked where people have been trying. I am a stickler for "post in the correct sections", like themes and apps. I think you're right about a few things, and I've been lightening up lately. You've done some great work that I have personally used. And I really DO hope you get it to work. Don't pull it, just move it/merge it with the other thread. Sorry didn't mean to come off all flame-happy, my bad.

I don't know how to move a thread, other than click the exclamation mark of the OP and select "breaking a rule" and in the msg box ask the mod to move it. As for BP edits, you should really read the thread I linked, we have tried everything lol, IIRC member "uncorrupted" said he was also modding the apk itself, maybe PM him and share ideas? Also, are you using the most recent xda release of the apk, modded to not ask for device checks? That one was posted in android themes and apps, and also did not work on the heroC
Yeah it's more than build.prop edits...we've tried almost every suggested idea, except ripping apart the apk itself (other than removing the device check).

how do you expect someone who doesnt even own a captivate to know this? its good that captivate is still getting some love from devs. you could avoid scaring them away..
@OP what have you done in your rom to give it "long battery life"?
First of all sorry i also know thats annoying and for those i have no captivate phone so i didnt test it and i am also busy with 3 phones rom......so thanks and appreciate the efforts guys......thanks
also don't forget the buttons light up on screen touch fix. Optionally for the extra mile, remove traces to video calling. for kernel, pick a jvt kernel from this forum and it handles 180 and home key button mapping. that leaves you to apply haptic fix on home key and the above functions.
You get this rom worked out and i will try it. We need all the captivate roms we can get. Thanks

This guy wants to have someone port his ROM to the Captivate, he asks for development help in the development forum (I'm moving it to General, where it really belongs until actual development takes place) , and he gets bashed for it? All you would have had to do was report the thread as being in the wrong forum, I would have moved it. Really, there's no need for the flaming, namecalling and insults I see here. If your post is gone, think about it....there were a few defenders whose posts are also gone to remove the discussion. Now carry on on topic.

Its not a huge under taking to port it to captivate...grab a reoriented kernel.
Remap the buttons so the home key works, fix a couple smali's (one in services.jar to make the capacitive buttons light when you touch the screen, and one in the Android.policy.jar to fix home haptic feedback)
Video call references are optional, not usable on captivate but won't hurt anything if left in. (unless you try to use it then it will FC of course)
Shouldn't take too long to do it yourself... I'll give it a go but i'm busy til Friday, so if you wanna try first go ahead

Since you're new here, you probably aren't aware that "best rom"/"favorite rom" threads are frowned upon here. They're viewed as disrespectful to the devs, and they frequently lead to unnecessary drama.
The best answer is to head over to the development forum and start trying things out yourself. Everyone's needs and impressions are different. I could tell you what works for me, but that isn't necessarily going to work for you.
All the resources are compiled in a sticky at the top of the forum. Your best bet is to start there.
I recently installed CM10 and I love it. My battery life has gotten significantly better since installing it too.
I'm probably going to try Clean Rom 5.1 soon enough.
