If only Tornado has more ROM space available, surely you will see many mega pack monsters around, but since the ROM space is so limited, we are trying to remove as many things as possible, and have them installed manually in the storage card instead.

OK, i'm installed this ROM.
IRda works, Bluetooth works without problems. But this font is too big for me. What to change this?
Comm Manager button is not run this app, but run Voice Notes. What to change?
All other working in 100%. This is very cool ROM for Tornado!
EDIT: I'm find 96 DPI Hack. After install this hack, font is ok!

on calling screen nothing is seems. It's blank screen.

All users of Dutty Rom 6 At&T Lite version..

.. can you please tell me if it has Touch-cube implementation in it or due to it bein "Lite" its taken off? I've searched to the best of my ability everywhere on this forum and couldn't find anything on the contents of the Lite version? Subsquently, whats included/excluded from the Lite Rom??
I even posted the same question yesterday within the Rom thread but got no reply so thought I'll check out here...
..PS: anyone suggesting to download the rom from the server and then looking in the zip file for a contents file.. nope.. been there done that. It doesn't have any "literature" included.

The "Cube" is only built into the TouchFlo version. But I can say that the non-TouchFlo version actually does have TouchFlo scrolling in it.
I haven't used the Lite version, but can guarentee you that the cube isn't in it (the Cube is NOT Lite... )
what part of the word "lite" don't you understand???

in relation to the word Cube, I'd say - nothing, except for the fact that they are both 4 letter words and that too only cuz one's a slang.

HTC Touch 2 : change the language, the OS...

I'm a brand new HTC user. I got an HTC Touch 2 (T3333) today for the half the price because the Windows Mobile OS installed is in Dutch; the seller told me that it was impossible to change but I knew for sure that it was. I mean, we are installing Android on toasters nowadays...
So it is possible, as I found out on this board (the "Mega - ROM - Hotfix - User Manual - roll-up thread" topic; I can't post links yet, sorry). I've downloaded the ROM and I'm waiting for rapidshare to allow me to download the manual...
While I wait, could you be so kind to tell me if an Android port was successful on that telephone ? If so, how well it is supported ?
If not, I'm open to any fix and tweaks topics that you can point me out in order to get the maximum out of my new phone. I'm already searching the board but I'm listening...
Thanks !

lol its not my work... its the teams work at Touch2 / Mega section. You can check out my rom that im currently building its WM 6.5.5 os but still in working progress..
Well, thank you for spreading the good news then...
I will dive into the subject tonight.
Hmmm...I tried upgrade with a French ROM but I can't, I get the 294 error. It wasn't that easy. I tried changing the settings in the Systems menu but that didn't work obviously.
Am I missing something here ?
Okay, I'm very sorry : my browser didn't loaded the board well on my first visit and I only discovered the HTC Touch 2 Mega section now.
I will ask my question over there...

[Q] Joint effort for new rom

Hi all
I spent quite some time in looking, testing and rejecting the roms that trail around here. So, may I suggest, we build our own / open to all ROM?
I never cooked a ROM, thus I am certainly no veisen, navenedrob or MietasSR and how all the good chefs are named. So, anyone to join?
greets mega
I could join for testing and small stuff, since there is not much ir can compile codewise.
what it would be better for you and everyone is to take the best rom made untill now and fix all the remaining bugs so finally like that the perfect rom will be created, maybe by the time u create the rom with bugs you will be forced to leave the investigation like everyone else leaving a bugy rom but work from the start with ready bugy rom fix it and voila, the perfect treo rom. if u need it i can post it here.
Hi, why do you think the others *had* to quit?
I firmly believe, these good guys left because of loss of interest. If they were forced to quit, say by M$, that would have happend right after first dropping rom's in here and certainly these downloads would have been blocked too.
greets
mega
i didnt meant they had to but most of the roms that were posted ad dissapeared i got mine beacuse an senior member posted it for me, currently the only two good ones are the one that says in tread name sys blablablablabla xsx blablablabla, and the spanish one.
but you know its true that its better to do what i posted.
I believe there is still a lot of treo 750 users out there, since it is a superb device. But the old Win OS is a true bummer, not finger friendly at all. And pulling out a stylus in a bus stop is just hideous. So I hope this thread stays alive....

Hi,
Building our own Rom, does deffinitely *not* exclude a valuable starting point such as already existing ROM, on the contrary.
here are the options we have (just the WM 6.5 ROMS):
- thread 642721
WM6.5.3 28205, from MietasSR; No kitchen that I know off; link to ROM alive, as of writing
- thread 541417
23017 R2" SYS/XIP ROM by navenedrob (Probably the one youe were referring to); the only one with a kitchen; link to ROM dead, but can be found elsewhere, as of writing
- thread 477370
21193/21193 by veisen; No kitchen that I know off; link to ROM alive, as of writing
None of these roms has language support other than english, all have bugs. I am new to rom development, I will only put effort into this, if I am not alone. Can we make a sourceforgeproject of this
Things that need get organised are:
- a bunch of developpers
- howto on making a kitchen
- decide what will be the starting point
- which languages are we going to target
- EN
- DE, first prio for me
- ....
- can we do them all?

I am willing to help/contribute even in development if the project gets some positive feedback and other contributers!
About the languages.. as I understand you can change the ROM's langpack, so a good starting point would be the new spanish rom floating around. Looks like it has a lot of bugfixes in it already... So the first thing to do would be contacting the baker and have him answer simple questions about kitchen and ROM. That way we could swap it to EN/GER and test it out.

The - only - kitchen I have is just the
CHEETAH-WM6.5-21828-ROMKitchen-navenedrob.zip
So you are workin with this as well, aren't you?
The main issues there (apart from probably fixable small bugs) are for me
- missing language support, I just see lang pack 0409
- missing info about how to use / chane this kitchen
Can any one help here?

talk to amgatron, he has a topic at the rom development section called (wm6.5)mangatrons new rom (release soon) , hes using a new kitchen and what navs and mietas had left behind, he already fixed the palm oem and red button issues, you could say hes building the perfect rom.
ROMs have been released Here. Try it out now and don't forget to leave feedback!

[ROM] Point Of View Protab 25 with root

Hello everyone!
This is not a very popular tablet, but I wanted to share this if someone wants root on this device. For tablet details go here.
This is not a custom rom, but just a stock rom with root. Since none of the popular tools for rooting didn´t work, I managed to unpack the firmware file and drop the su binary and Superuser.apk in system.img. That´s all. Some more things and tweaks will probably come, when I figure out everything. I´m also working on CWM recovery, so stay tuned.
To flash the rom, just download the archive down there, where you´ll find upgrade tool, usb drivers and PDF instructions to flash the rom.

I could probably do it, but then if you would like to change the volume you would have to go all the way through the settings to do it, so I don´t think this is a very good idea..

Yeah, your english is very bad, but i think I understood..
I´m not an expert in this Android stuff, on the contrary - I´m just starting to learn this, so don´t expect something big from me. I understand Linux very good, and try to use that knowledge on Android, with a lot of Googleing and reading.. Hopefully, I will come up with nice ROM and CWM Recovery soon and won´t brick my tablet..

CWM for Custom ROM?
Do Jelly Bean 4.1 for our device!
Do you have any idea how i can get adb working with win7 x64 on this device? I've tried with the official adb driver included in POV's firmware updates, but they're not detected as a compatible driver by windows. I'd like to help you in creating your next roms and mods. I know linux well enough, and i develop c/c++ and java. pm me if you're interested.

CWM based on this one:
https://www.sites.google.com/site/dutchtabs/clockworkmod-for-rk2918
But no Jelly Bean or any other ROM from scratch, because I´m not a developer.. Maybe sometimes in the future, cause I don´t have necessary knowledge for this yet..

Those drivers don´t work, I´ve tried it too. If I figure it out I´ll let you know.. I´m using Windows only for flashing the firmware, that´s why I´m actually trying to get CWM working on this tablet so I don´t have to use Windows any more..
I´m repeating: I´m not a developer, I´m just using Google and doing some hacking to do my work. I don´t code anything. If you´d like to make a custom ROM from source you´ll have to make it alone, because I don´t know much about it for now.

It would probably not work, because it´s not the same tablet. You could end up with a bricked tablet.
To all of you guys - I´m sorry I´ve been away for a while. I got a job, and had to move to another town, so had no time to hack the tablet any more. I´ll post some usefull instructions and links if some of you want to start to develop for this tablet.

Good job, and my respect is even bigger knowing that you are young fellow, non english native speaker...
Wish you enough will to continue and expand your little project, although i think your tests should last bit longer (for now it's more like first impressions).
And i don't think that Roms you pointed as non-working really don't work, people would mention about it...
Anyway, good job, once again

I said that dont work on my decive... This roms yes work but its more difficult to install them because you need to flas first the specifik stock rom that they're based and on my pc odin doesn't work (400 mhz and 128 mb of ram =) ) it's too old.
If you test them you can send to me your opinions and add them as working and tested roms.
Thanks

Hey,
i flashed the unofficial cotina cm11 rom from Teamcanjica and as i startet it and unlocked my sim i get
the failure " com.android.phone was stopped".
So i don't get a connection to my provider and every time the phone tries to connect i get the failure.
I hope someone could help me.

You must upgrade your phone to 4.1.2
then you must use a tempory CMW, and flash your rom to your phone
sorry for my bad english
The best form me is CM11 from TC, but in the new build you should checge minimal fraq to 200mH because of 100mH battery drain.
I'm using 4.4.4 from novafusion.pl. Very good, no problems with phone.
Great idea to have a central place for people to find ROMs. No doubt, CM is always a good choice but if you like pure Android I can also recommend this AOSP ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588054
