stylus locking - Touch Pro, Fuze General

is there a way to stop the phone from locking when you insert the stylus?

Chances are you are using Gyrator 2 and that has a built-in (preset) function to do that.
If it's not the case, then maybe installing Gyrator2 could help you solve that!

[Q] HTC TOUCH 2 Sensitivity

Are There any '.cab' or Registry Edits that can help increase the sensitivity on my HTC Touch 2.
Many Thanks.
I have noticed that the HTC Touch 2 works much faster if the nail is used , but i guess that this is because it is more like a stylus , but as i really don't have the time to be taking out my stylus every-time i want to use my phone i would like to know if there is any other ways around it.

Is it working fine?
Don't really think it will work. Sensitivity is influenced by the OS AND (!) the screen's abilities. I think that you can't really increase it. I can't say for sure though, I'll ask my dad for his Touch2 to try it out some time later.

for me, not working
This really works. My Touch2 is now a lot more sensitive and is much easier to use. I recommend every one who uses a touch2, as the touchscreen sensitivity is very bad, to download and install this. It works perfectly. Before whenever I recieved a call, and attempted to answer it, clicking the answer button, it would never answer and it end-call. NOW IT WORKS PERFCTLY.
Thanks , it s really work
Thanks
its really works on HTC Touch VIVA
Hello!
Crazy but it works! nice!

[Q] insensitive touchscreen in areas

The screen on my tablet becomes insensitive in certain areas, requires hard presses or doesn't respond at all. Funny thing is the problem seems to go away after about 30 min of use but returns if the screen is locked and unlocked. Anyone having similar issues or a fix? Currently running vegantab beta 4 but had same problems with tnt lite.
EDIT: this is the exact issue I have although this is not my video
www DOT youtube DOT com SLASH watch?v=-Uhwpn3buzQ
Search for Calibration Fix in these forums. Depending on which ROM you are running, you can either create an empty file named calibration.ini file and put it at the root of your /sdcard or /sdcard2 and reboot. that seems to fix the issue for many people.
Thanks for the help! That fixed my issue.
im having the same issue. but this fix is not fixing the problem, unless i am doing something wrong. I am using the vegan rom.
I've used astro to create a new zip file called calibration.ini
but not working....am i doing something wrong the way I am making the .ini file? If so what is the correct way. (sorry if I am sounding completly stupid, I'm actually computer literate lol)
Is there another way to calibrate the screen?
I'd create the calibration.ini file on BOTH /sdcard and /sdcard2, then power off/on, not touching the screen, since there's apparently a hacked version of the calibration program, just to be sure.
have already tried that to no avail lol

Hi,
Sorry, didn't read your post carefuuly enough. Did you say you created a *ZIP* file?
Should be just an empty file, with filename all lowercase.
Jim
ok...not real sure how to do that.
can you give me a step by step?
I'm just now starting to dabble in android so im still low in the learning curve, sorry.

You can probably use ES File Explorer. Use that and browse to /sdcard. Click menu icon (the 4 lines icon), then New on bottom, then file, and type the 'calibration.ini' for file name. Do same for /sdcard2.
Power off, then on.
After completely on, use File Explorer again, to delete those files, otherwise it'll try calibrate every boot.
awsome...thank you very much!

My understanding is that the calibration apparently runs once when you power up, if it finds that calibration.ini file. No prompts or visible display.

It doesn't do anything different that you'll see at start-up. Make sure you let it sit for a minute after it starts so you don't mess it up.

How do you calibrate a touchscreen without registering touchpoints? Hmm. Interesting. I guess I should try this since people report it working. I don't have a problem when holding it landscape, but in portrait mode unless I'm reading an e-book, I find myself having to pay attention to touching buttons.

Well, I've certainly seen other touchscreens that do more sophisticated calibrations. Nonetheless, this seems to calibrate the un-touched state and it seems to achieve good enough results that everybody I've seen who's tried it with touchscreen sensitivity issues, issues with pinch-and-zoom, issues with soft keyboard keys in certain areas of the screen and so on, has posted that it fixed the issues for them.
Do not touch the screen while the tablet is booting. Wait for it to completely boot. The calibration process will pick up your touch, and interfere with the calibration process. I noticed today I picked it up and carried it across the room while booting the the screen was totally unresponsive. I have never noticed that problem ever before (I am old fashioned and still running 2.00 with the calibration hack added). When I rebooted it was fine and I remembered the developers for my Odroid T has said the same thing while they were working on a better screen calibration routine on boot.

[APP] Touchscreen Booster (Increase touch sensibility, smoothness, multitouch)

Hey xda followers!
I have a hardware problem with my Transformer since the beginning and was too lazy to change it by a new one...
My problem is that I use my device with no problem but sometimes I am loosing touch inputs...
If I let the Transformer go into sleep mode alone and unlock it, I have to force lock and unlock again to have good touch responses back...
Then I can have a good session of 30 minutes of use without any problem and then, randomly, touch input precision is lowering, until I can't use it anymore and I must lock and unlock rapidly again...
Very annoying problem for sure...
But today I decided to search through google, forums, xda, to have a beginning of solution to my problem.
And I found THE Touchscreen Booster application.
It's an application that was made for Viewsonic G tablet at the origin. The famous Bumblebee discovered it at first so thanks to him for that. And the thread talking about that is from gojimi. He modified the application to be more easily usable. So thanks to him too!
Being an android application and having titanium backuped all my applications, I thought: why not trying!
So I installed it and launched it... AND... TADAAA! Just incredible. It worked, no problem at all, no force close, no freeze, nothing.
AND: touchscreen inputs are incredibly smoother, sensitivity has been greatly improved, response time between writing letters is better, multi touch is improved... It's just paradise. I don't know if you tried Ipad but the result is that type of sensitivity...
This application can be used by all types of roms and for people who have problems with touchscreen sensitivity or just want a bigger one
Please leave here your feedback, positive or negative, and remember, do it at your own risks, I am not responsible of the potential problems after applying this application.
It worked for me, my Transformer had never been so smooth, so why not yours!
Maybe you will have to launch the application some times, when you feel that sensitivity was better before, or after boot... But you can put the application on your desktop and touch the button FixMe!
Share, enjoy, and say thanks

Seems to have worked for me....the keyboard doesn't seem that much more responsive though...the screen transitions are alot more smooth.
Thanks for this find!!!!

Happens to mine sometimes, I just turn the screen off with the power button, and then back on and its fine again
Thanks for the apk though I`ll try it out
Wow, nice. My touchscreen was a little slow and not very sensitive to touch input. running the app has helped quite bit.
Omg this is perfect.
Can you link the original thread.

This probably edits something in build.prop and other system files, so yes. I'll confirm this once I try it.
EDIT: Doesn't require root. I feel no difference though...

Well, when you launch it, there is no SuperUser action popup to allow the application so I am not sure that you need to have root access...
And, yes, it has an effect on every touch app (try writing a message before and after applying the apk or try playing angry birds, there is a big difference)
Sent from my Transformer TF101
SO i gave this a shot and some aspects do seem smoother to me. None of the handwriting apps i tested were any diff as before the test.
I already had what i felt is a smooth responsive touch screen, but was curious to see if it was going to get any better.
QUESTION: when you run the app it says after hitting the calibration button "Follow the directions exactly"
I hit the button and it says calibrating screen dont touch, but no other directions.
Am i missing something here or is that the extent of the directions...
All in all not sure if it is just a placebo or if it is actually smoother. I suppose others with really bad touch response may see an effect.

No, it really is not a placebo, believe me. It was even more noticeable in my case (read my first post about my hardware problem) but even when my device was ok, it wasn't so smooth as it is right now.
For the instructions, you don't miss anything.
The important thing is "DO NOT TOUCH SCREEN WHEN CALIBRATING" because it could screw up the calibration, and if you do the opposite, the result would be that you wouldn't be able to use the device anymore, because not being able to relaunch calibration (if you have the dock, no problem at all )
That's all

So, to people who tried this application, what is your appreciation now after one week of use?
Anyone for some feedback for who has used it for about a week now?
With my TF I have a "dead" / "very unresponsive" line (about 5 mm wide) under the camera over the length of the screen.
This is very annoying when opening the market (difficult to select the search field) or when trying to tap the taskbar when the TF is rotated 180 degrees.
Sometimes it works normally, so I do not know if it is the ROM / Kernel or just unresponsive hardware.
Could this solve it?

Archos 101, well, it worked on Viewsonic G tablet and Transformer, maybe Archos 101, but I don't have it so I can't test...
Why not testing it if you have it and report here, and if it works, in archos 101 forum too?

[Q] Vibration pattern

Hi all!
Iam missing every call and sms in silent vibration mode when iam walking in the street... soooo
Can i customise the vibration pattern for incoming calls and sms???
Iam using HyperNonSense ICS 3.32 based.
Maybe some registry hacks?
And not "Tasker" plz...
Thanks in advance!Sry if its nooby
First off, I'm a new member to XDA and others may have better suggestions then myself, but I figure I'd try and help you out.
For the voice calls, when the phone is in vibrate mode there is already a vibrate pattern that the phone uses. As for changing the pattern, I'm not sure how to do this.
For the sms issue, I personally use an app call "Handcent SMS". In the settings for the app, under "Settings->Notification Settings->Notification Settings->Vibrate Pattern->Custom" you can change the pattern.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, hopefully someone else has more information.
Eeeh, its not the way i was looking 4 =) but thanks anyway..
I've found an app called "Smart Vibrator" in market, but it seems do nothing. Iam changing the pattern but it remains the same it was =(
Maybe in XDA were threads with useful apps for such customising?
P.S. is it OK for u all,who read this topic, to have such a badly vibration?
Or u got another methods to improve it?
Or doesnt matter at all 4 u? =)
Write suggestions plz =)
