Anyone know how to get rid of the warning that pops up when you open telenav? "Do not attempt to configure this application or input information while driving. ...."
That's a pretty annoying warning, and a big no sh*t as far as I'm concerned.
Thanks for any help.

Hi
Have had my Touch Pro for a while and am generally loving it, but there's one problem which is driving me nuts.
While using Tomtom to navigate in my car, every so often, the GPRS/HSDPA signal gets lost, and as Tomtom is using that to download Traffic data, the phone pops up a bubble explaining how the connection has been lost. This bubble fills most of the screen, so you can't see the Tomtom screen, but worse than that, it causes Tomtom to freeze, so the map no longer updates and you get no voice instructions. If you're driving along and you fail to notice this bubble quickly, you can therefore miss a turnoff.
The Dismiss button in this bubble is so small it's virtually impossible (not to mention unsafe) to poke it while driving to make the bubble go away. The best solution I have come up with is to hit the bottom left section of the Tomtom screen which gets rid of the bubble but also tests the voice.
So the question is, is there a way to disable this bubble from popping up and freezing Tomtom, every time Internet connectivity is lost?
This is not the same thing as the Connection Disconnected setting under Sounds & Notifications, incidentally. I already have that disabled.
I've poked around in the registry a bit but I can't see anything, perhaps I need to add a new key...
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very grateful as this one small issue is making use of Tomtom pretty near impossible.
Cheers!
I first posted this in Questions and answers but know from experience that most of us don't ever read General discussion.
Did anyone manage to disable this annoying "Cannot Connect" popup notification?
Disabling "Display message on screen" for events "Connection disconnected" and "Connection established" via the Sounds & Notifications settings has no effect on this particular message.
I found a few threads related to this issue but none of them propose a working solution.
NoData
I just upgraded to the Raphael today, so I haven't tried this on this model. I did, however, have the Kaiser that I installed "NoData" on because I got sick of that message too. You can install that and it will allow you to toggle your available data connections on and off, thus removing the message.
Punch that into bing or Google and look up the result from MoDaCO. Worked like a charm on my Kaiser.
Disabling data is not a solution for me.
My connection is working properly but I get this annoying message once every few days.
maybe you have "display message on screen" checked under "connection disconnected" in sounds and notifications? where did you get that theme? it has an htc colored title bar to the dialog box.

Looks like EnergyROM to me. Several Raphael flavors available. Made my crappy Fuze into something slick, fast, and usable.

The theme is EnergyROM_Plus.
me personally, i like the popups...the phone has better sounds than others i used... i love my fuze. but i do admit some things can be annoying sometimes lol
I'm with the OP here - i've been searching on & off for a wile trying to find a way of blocking that. again (like the OP) turning off data isnt an option, i want data on all the time - telling me i cant have it is pointless, i can see that by the status bar! just be quite & keep trying to reconnect like a good phone!

do you have found a solution for disable this notification screen ?
i have also this notification sometimes and i really hate it...
(mostly i get this sometimes on trying to "send/receive" in poutlook and no way to disable it ? hmm
i found a solution for it
there is a Reg key...which is pointing to exe file.
if you change the path to an exec which doesn't do anything, then it seems to be working.
'[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSREMNET
'"1"="remnet.exe"
also i add a function to change this reg + an extra exe file which does nothing.
see SchedHandler 1.12

more than a year later, the information is found very usefull
I join a dummy .exe for those who could not find any file.
And of course, thank you very much camro !!!
thanks a lot! finally got rid of that annoying popup!

An additional 2 years later and this is a GOD SEND! Some days the pop up comes up, I'd clear it only to have it come right back up! I did have to tell the phone that the dummy.exe was OK to run, but now the message is gone!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I really fudged up here.
I took this new phone which had a notification about an update. Thinking it is like Windows where I must have the newest updates for proper security practices- I agreed for the update.
Turns out it has become a Lollipop device now, which wouldn't be much of a problem except that the owner who has no Google account and want to stay away from them as much as possible, sharing as little info as possible- Now gets a popup every time she turns on the GPS, asking her to share her location with Google( "use Google location services"). She keeps hitting 'Decline', but other than being annoying, the demand is obviously destined to be accidentally accepted one day.
The settings of the GPS are "device sensors only" and when you hit decline it works normally.
I've spent the entire day looking for a solution and I'm fairly desperate. I am not allowed to install any 3rd party GPS app on the phone nor can I revert to the previous version if it involves me downloading some file from the internet (not from an official source) and trying to flash the device (I'm inexperienced and afraid to brick the device as well).
Please, can anyone help?!?!?!
PS. funnily enough the popup has a "decline" button, an "accept" button, and a "don't ask me again" tick box- however when you choose the tick box- the "Decline" button disappears (turns grey).
P.S.S- I just want to add that it goes without saying about a root being out of the question.
P.S.S.S I just want to make clear that
up?
Hi,
I am really annoyed of that pop up, that comes up, when you activate bluetooth, giving you the chance of connecting directly to coupled devices or search for new ones...
As most of my bt-devices connect automatically, and the S7 is obviously visible also for not coupled devices, as long as this window is open (at least the text says so), I do absolutely not want this pop up at all...
It is not even going away after some time...if you dont close it manually, it stays open forever.
So, can anyone tell me, how to deactivate this window? I just want my S7 to start bluetooth, when i click the quick setting, and if I need anything more, I go into the detailed bt-settings separately...thx for any hint!

really, noone knows a solution to, or is at least also bothered by this touchwiz-supercrap?
I have the same problem.. pretty annoying. I world very much like to know this too :/
Hello
I hope I'm putting this in the right forum, and please be aware that I'm a beginner.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy 7. I replaced the recovery with TWRP and installed SuperSU. I only really wanted to delete all the bloatware on the phone, which I did and then disabled root access again in the SuperSU App.
However, I'm now getting constant security notifications. They say, "threat found" and "unauthorised actions have been detected. Restart your phone to undo these actions", with a big red "Restart" button. It also asks me to install "My Knox" and some Anti-Malware stuff. I suppose McAfee products, as it's all "powered by McAfee".
Do I need to be concerned with these notifications? If not, how do I stop them? If yes, how do I deal with them?
Thanks!
Is it coming in browser popups or in phone? If it is in phone try use an adblock.
It's a notification that's coming up on the actual phone.
Out of curiosity, why would an adblock fix that?
Thanks for your help.
