For the most part, I like TouchFlo. The only thing missing for me is a calendar tab. I realize I can turn on the WM standard calendar plugin on the lower portion of the display, but don't want to give up the space to have it always present. Ideally, there'd be a way to add a calendar tab to the middle and have the appointment info display up top when that particular tab is active. I've searched, but didn't come up with anything. Is there a way?

Ummm... a 'button' is different than a 'tab'. As stated, I would like a way to quickly refer to upcoming calendar stuff on my Today screen, without launching an application, and other than using the standard WM plugin. Re-read the original post should you require further clarification.

Your a bit of a tool really aren't you ?
I think he meant the HTC Today Screen Plugin. All these while I thought he meant the touch cube (which I errenously associated with TouchFlo).

i'm using Ultimate Launch with a setup i made and using Calendar+ i'm getting a tab for a calendar. hope you find it useful...

Hi!
I currently have the problem that every running application gets terminated when I go back to TF3D (use the home button) or if I use the "x" in the right upper corner. Instead of minimizing the application in the background it just gets terminated... not too bad if you want to keep the RAM clean... but a lot of applications just should remain in the back so I can switch to them after I made a note etc.
Any idea what is causing this odd behaviour?
Maybe your taskmanager is configured to really close the apps when tapping X instead of minimizing them. Check your taksmanager configuration maybe?
Well, even if I turn this off within the taskmanager, all the applications get terminated when I start an application within touchflo 3D (e.g. Opera)

Opera used to close other applications on my ex mobile p3300. Does this happen with other programs too?
At least it does with me... I am not sure if this was the case from the beginning or if I changed something... probably I need to make a hard reset later to check :/

Well, I did a hard reset and installed all the apps I needed and all the tweaks... I think it is a problem with apps that run in full screen mode. Right now it works fine. Odd enough...

Right now, full screen apps like TomTom and Opera usually kill the background processes at some point. When I go into settings or anything else the usually stay open.
P.S: Some applications get terminated after some time... I wonder if there is really a "time of inactivity" that triggers this or if this is random and by accident...

It does not work for me anymore... every application that is not kept in the foreground gets killed... and that drives me mad... I need a solution
I have tried to installed a 1 freeware:
1. wktask - don't work really well, still can't open many top task that is running.
Sometimes closes when we open new task. (however, its the best i can find for TF3D)
Search for it in the internet, its a freeware anyway.
Still Closing Applications Automatically
I've tried all the recommendations that I have come across and I still have the issue of my apps closing automatically. Below is a list of all the things I've tried:
Disabled the native Task Manager within the HTC Touch PRO
Made the following edits using Advanced Config Tool
1) Change File system cache to 8MB.
2) Change file system filter cache to 131072.
3) Change Glyph cache to 32KB.
Changed the "EnableAutoKill" from 1 to 0
Changed the "MemoryThreshold" from 9MB to 20MB
Added programs to "Do Not Kill" list using SKTools (this is for the SKTools utilities but figured I'd give it a shot too)
Is there anything that can stop this from happening? Is there a way to add a program or process to a list of apps to ignore or something? And I have plenty of RAM when this is happening (usually around 100MB).
Help.....Please!!!!!!!

I have the EnableAutoKill set to 0 and the MemoryThreshold set to 20MB. Initially it was set at 9MB. Are the values that you reference the same ones that I've changed? I'm still struggling with this problem and really hope this solution works for me.

I like the VolumeOverlay cause it's prettier, it doesn't interupt your current task and u can set 15 steps instead of only 5. Here's an instruction how to enable it.
Easy way with registry:
In HKLM\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay\3rdPartyAPClass\ create a key with any name and in there create a string value with the name: ClassName and the value is the name of the window class (I use BSB->rotation settings to find that out).
That works quite fine with the most application and especially for standby if u use the windows lockscreen u only have to set the value of the string value to ConfettiLockScreen and you dont have to reboot. (It only works if u play some kind of sound otherwise u dont see anything ).
In some applications it's more useful to have a tilted VolumeOverlay although the portrait version is quite nice and sufficient.
The harder way:
In HKLM\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay\InhouseAPClass\ set a key with any name and a string value with the name: ClassName and the value is again the window class name. In addition u need to set in HKLM\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay\InhouseEnable2ndUI\ a key with the name of the window class and and in there a string value with the name: Enable2ndOverlay with the value: 2.
Example: LockScreen/Standby
1. I look at the window class name with BSB->rotation->add application->shake in lockscreen. Result: ConfettiLockScreen
2. Create a key in HKLM\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay\3rdPartyAPClass\ with the name Lockscreen (or any name)
3. In HKLM\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay\3rdPartyAPClass\Lockscreen\ I create a string value: ClassName->ConfettiLockScreen
I hope I could help you and I hope it will be implemented in the BSB tweaks in the future. I would advise to combine all this settings (P2Z, rotation and VolumeOverlay) cause it's easier to add an application once and than tick what u want to have.

This seems to be exactly what i need but fail at implementing it.
I am trying to enable this for CorePlayer.
The window clasname seems to be 'wCorePlayer'
I created HKLM\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay\3rdPartyAPClass\CorePlayer\
In there i create a string value with the name (REG_SZ?) ClassName and the string value wCorePlayer
It's the first time I edit the registry. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't know why but VolumeOverlay is not showed properly.... it's showed only a black line... don't appear nothing more when I click in Volume buttoms..
May be is because I have installed MaxManila??? or because I have installed a taskbar icons (Brians Taskbar_6.5)???
Any one more with same problem??? or some one know how to fix it???

I resolved uninstalling brians taskbar icons, they was not compatible with the manila version of 1.61 rom.
Removed the icons and the volume overlay come back to work.
Is there an easy way to change the steps for the volume? Maybe somewhere a value in the reg?

are there any custom color taskbars present that doesn't cripple the volume overlay?
Could some one make this option in a cab? For people not so geekish?
This file is used to have your HD2 immediately soft reset when you do a long press on the endcall key.
Why immediate? Because sometimes it happens that the device locks up in a way you can trigger keypad actions but do NOT see anything on screen (included the confirmation dialogue for the reset), that way if you need to reset you have to remove the back cover.
For someone like me, who switches the battery often, the least times it's needed to peel off the panel, the longer the plastic of the chassis will last.
So well, download this file:
View attachment EndKey.exe.zip
and RENAME IT TO EndKey.exe REMOVING THE .zip EXTENSION, it's NOT a zip file!
I am on an ubuntu laptop right now and since "compress" is not one of the options on the right-click menu I couldn't be bothered to open the archive manager and compress the file manually so i just renamed the exe for the upload sake
Then copy the obtained EndKey.exe file under \Windows\ overwriting the current one (which corresponds either to your stock actionscreen, or to whatever other utility you have installed that hooks on longpress endkey) and to test it just do a longpress endkey, the device should immediately softreset. If not, you got a problem
If you want to go safe, before overwriting the file, rename the original one
Credits for the exe file (which is just a softreset utility renamed to EndKey.exe) go to whoever is its author, I don't know Found this "SR.exe" file among the preinstalled apps on my custom rom so I thought I could as well reuse it for a more useful purpose

Look. This is an app, that makes the "endkey" to reset the phone,
NOT the "switch-off" key.
So, if you want to turn your phone off, you simply press the power button on the top of you device.

Well... I released this... err... "ripoff" for the HD2, we are not lucky enough to have a shutdown button on the top
Anyway, I was away just a couple hours and I see two pages of replies already, I am very happy you liked it fellas (and thanks l3v5y for powering it up with a cab)
Anyway, I'd like to reinstate that my job went only so far to check how longpress endkey function was managed, and renaming an exe file that someone else created... in the Creative Commons language, it would be a very simple derivative work Stil,l if you want to show appreciation, create a dropbox account with the referral link in my sig and I'll get 250mb more
EDIT: BTW, to restore the original action screen, stock from HTC; just delete the endkey.exe you copied/installed from cab, it will get replaced by a 80k exe which is the stock screen
EDIT2: @l3v5y, deleted my exe, installed your cab and moved it to sashimi's auto folder anyway you don't need to make it reboot, since the reset function is active right after the installation/filecopy

well, all I did was rename an exe... tell you what, there is a tool called "hd2connections" which is a collection of exe shortcuts to toggle BT/wifi, reset, shutdown, and stuff like that (search for it on xda).
You can talke the softreset exe from there, rename it to EndKey.exe, copy over to \Windows\, and you'll see a confirmation dialogue asking you if you REALLY want to softreset. It's in french, at least in my installation, but still comprehensible
Anyway, I expressely chose NOT to have a confirmation, because of the times I need to softreset, the faster the better, and this way if your screen locks up in a crash and you can't see the dialogue, you can softreset anyway (at least you should, didn't happen yet to test it )

I just got a T’Eyes CC3 2K (6GB-128GB) installed today and i think it’s amazing so far.
I encountered a glitch though …
For some reason the “+” button used to add apps shortcuts on Homepage is not workibg when the list is empty.
I removed the default shortcuts and then tried to add my own but the button is non-responsive anymore.
Prior to removal of default shortcuts that “+” button was working
I think it’s related to the default theme config somehow because if i switch themes all the default shortcuts gets populated again.
Any solution for this ? Thanks !
Clear Launcher storage and do not delete all shortcuts at once. This is launcher bug in march 2023 firmware

Settings - Devise - Apps. Look for Launcher3 and clear storage.
The conclusion:
All fixed Clearing the launcher storage did the trick by resetting the homepage.
Now, i will avoid deleting all the app shortcuts at once …
