everyone knows that pro in facedown... - Touch Pro, Fuze General

everyone knows that pro in facedown make mute a call. today i received a call during a meeting, putted down my pro and it silenced that call. but i forgot the raphael face down for an our and it silenced 3 calls. this kind of function is extremely usefull.
But i thought, the risk in forgetting the phone facedown is to miss a lot of calls.
my request:
Is possible to create an app that when receiving a call facing down, the flash led (flash is present near the camera in the back of raphael) start to blink intermittently i don't know, every 30second or boh... don't know.
i think can be usefull.
Sorry for my terrible english in describing my thought..
I'm waiting your opinion..

+1 for that idea.

hmmm? mine only does it when i turn it face down. if its just sitting there face down it still rings.
thats weird

Yes, but it's hidden in the registry. The easiest way to change it is using AdvancedConfig.

Mine too. And thats the normal behavior.

I think the flash LED might get a two annoying depending on the brightness.
I would think that if it just silenced the current call then after a designated amount of time it makes the phone go into vibrate mode. That way you aren't liable to miss any calls. However, I think the only problem with vibrate is that it would be annoying as well, unless it was just one quick one each call.

Looking for another dialer to stop accidental answers

Ok heres the deal my boss bought a sprint touch pro and everytime he gets a phone call even with the phone locked he either accepts or declines the call while he is taking it out of the case.
I have already done a search and this appears to be a major problem with the diamond with no fix really.
On my Hermes I have used a opal canvas dialer skin that you actually have to slide to the left and right to answer a call. Does anyone know of a dialer like that that will work with the touch pro?
I know s2u2 or whatever it is will work but thats too bulky and won't work for him. To me this really seems like a major flaw in the phone design and I may not get the phone myself unless I can find a workable fix..
I'm really surprised this isn't complained about more but a slide to answer reject dialer seems to easiest way to fix to me.
Any help appreciated.

THIS is what you need!
This disabled the on-screen answer keys, so you can only answer with the hardware keys. Works perfect for me, and it's a very small app.

Thanks man that looks like its gonna work..He only wants the hard keys to answer..
Doesn't work with CDMA devices
I think he may just return the phone cause its that annoying since none of his calls go through..Even when he has his headset on if he just moves wrong it rejects the call..I have been using his phone for about an hour and it happens to me also..I want to throw the damn phone against the wall!!!
I tried some sensorapp and that doesn't work also and changes the unlock screen too much
If I could just find a dialer like the opal one that you have to slide to the left or right to answer or reject this would be fine..
i think the maker of the program will eventually fix it to support CDMA devices. why not give him a message?

He does have it under the todo list but it won't do my boss much good since he is missing every single call he gets..
I really thought he was exaggerating so thats why I decided to use the phone and I haven't been able to answer one single call. This is using the case that came with the phone and I can't believe this was not noticed during some testing phase or something..
I noticed you mentioned S2U2, and I'm curious why you decided against it.
As long as you enable Slide 2 Answer, and enable the D-Pad option, your boss' problem should go away. The D-Pad option will allow him to answer calls using the D-Pad and not have to touch the screen at all.

It would be fine for me but my boss is kinda weird about installing stuff on his phone and I know when I have used s2u2 on my hermes it took more battery life etc and i sometimes ran into weird glitches. Which is okay for me but he would have a fit.
It needs to be as close to stock as it can be..
If he returns the phone then I won't have to worry about always fixing it LOL so I may just tell him to do that..
It just really amazes me something like this was missed and it also amazes me that the low speakerphone volume is also on this phone. I just noticed that. My hermes is the same way and apparently being able to hear the person on the other end isn't important enough for HTC to worry about fixing. Its not like I wanna hear the other person I'm talking to on my phone..
They did at least fix the MS Voice Command not working with BT headsets!!
I use Sensor Lock. You can customize the gestures to only a 1/2 turn to lock, 1/2 turn the other way to unlock. It works very well. S2U2 doesn't work well on the Touch Pro yet...

There's apparently a lot of variation on volume between different versions of the same handset. I noted in this forum that there were a lot of people complaining about the volume being too low, but there were also a couple complaining about it being too high.
You mentioned low speaker phone volume on your Hermes. I have a Cingular 8525 (Hermes) with the original ROM, and I almost always have to turn the volume down all the way to use the speaker phone. I have to turn it up all the way when I'm using the earpiece (i.e., as a normal phone), but that volume is definitely too high for a quiet room on the speaker phone. (And they didn't give separate volume settings for earpiece and speaker phone, grr...)

Exactly! I've been looking for an Opal-like dialer for the Fuze (Touch Pro) -- but no luck so far. Anybody seen one floating around in .cab form?

Am I the only one having serious proximity sensor problems (hang ups)

this has gotten to be a real serious problem for me - hanging up with my face while on a call. i am surprised this isn't talked about more here. any help would be appreciated! is it possible for the dev's to not only remove the end call button but the mute as well?
so far you are the only one that has ever reported anything like that,ya know it could be a hardware defekt

Nope I'm in the same boat as im sure are many others. I have only ever had it actually impact me I think twice on phone calls out of almost a hundred or so that I have had since I purchased the phone. All the others times though it was extremely annoying to keep hearing the click sounds of the screen turning on and off on and off on and off etc.
I keep hoping for a software update that addresses the sensitivity of the sensor, but still no
I also wonder how much the battery is affected by the screen turning on and off repeatedly while in a phone conversation...
I get the same. More on my right ear than my left, but it will often take a digit that I just typed for an automated system and try to dial it, resulting in an alarm tone in my ear during the conversation.
sorry but i have 3 different bolts, the 1st one was rooted stock had that problem but it also went into the brick loop so it got replaced, rooted that one but never had the prob again, this one has the bamf 2 prev 3 on it and no probs that is why i suggested harware cause my first one had major hardware issues
sent via my bamfed out tbolt
i get it too. but i dont call so much. so i dont really care lol
I too had this problem, and did some quick searching on Google. Stumbled upon someone who said to spray it with canned air to clean it out. To my surprise, it worked. There is just enough room between the screen and the body of the phone for dust/crap to get in and it hinders both the light and proximity sensors.
You might be holding the phone in a weird position?
THUNDERBOLT
Damn, you lean something new every day, this thing makes phone calls too!
I've had the issue too recently. But it only started when I returned the last phone to stock. Before that, I had a small issue with it, but it didn't happen often.

I have the screen turn on during calls, but I've never had a face hang up. Honestly I think the screen turns on for me, but can't be interacted with.
Scratch that just did a test. I guess I'm lucky. Then again I don't hold the phone flat to my face. So I guess I would never hit it...
i have had hangups, the mute button pressed, and a 3 way call started. i just tried blowing the screen out with some compressed air as someone suggested. it seems better - will give an update after some testing.
No issues with hang ups for me. Had that problem all the time coming from the X.

I have the same problem and have had it with every Rom I've run and stock. I'm surprised we don't have a way to adjust the proximity sensor yet, that's something I really miss about my Droid X.
After answering a call and putting the tb to my ear, my screen stays on.
Sometimes my ear dials numbers, sometimes the screen stays illuminated but doesn't respond to any touch! I have to toggle the screen on/off with the power button to get the touch response working again.
I have never had an issue. Been on mostly whatever the latest bamf release since rooting.
It happens to me whenever I forget the bluetooth especially after working out or anytime facial area is warmer then normal. I have a screen protector and clean the screen frequently.
I am having the same issue, so I called Verizon yesterday and they are sending me a new phone. I hope it works, because it makes talking on the bolt almost impossible.

Have the same problem...its really annoying man....will not get a refurbished unit until they fix the reboots

Desire S Audible Selection tone problem.

Anyone else getting an issue where the audible selection tone sometimes will not make a sound when phone is left idle for about 3 seconds? Usually it works fine, but like stated before if you leave it alone for a short period of time, and you make a selection, theres a tiny faint sound, almost like a low "tick sound". When i got my phone like a month ago, it had this issue, then after a couple days it fixed by itself. The tones was loud and clear when i press something, it never had the low "tick sound" But after i reboot my phone yesterday, because i didn't reboot my phone for like a month, it happened again.. Anyone here experience this issue? Is it a hardware related issue, or a software?
guys, please help me out. I had this issue when i got my phone brandnew, but after a couple of days it was fixed. But after a i rebooted my phone, it happened again. Any ideas? Thanks!
Disable audible touch tones, they are horrible anyway.
Problem solved!

[Q] call/sound quality?

does anyone else have problems with the sound quality in calls? i hear the person fine on my end but they always tell me that my voice sounds muffled or they cant hear me i had an otterbox defender case on and thought it might be blocking the mic some so i took it off and still i have the same problem anyone kno how to fix this?
My gf usually complains when we talk but the issue is me not holding the phone correctly. Try seeing if maybe your holding the phone a bit far from your mouth or half covering the mic with your hand.

It's the noise reduction on the phone that's doing that to you, happens to everyone once in a while. Turn it off the in the settings if need be. Otherwise raise your voice momentarily and then talk again normally and it won't happen any more.

Is my Mate 7 listening to me?!

Ive just noticed something strange with my phone. I had it placed flat on my desk and was looking at something with my face close to the screen and I can hear a very faint buzzing, like whwn a radio is on but the volume is turned down to zero. It seems to come on and off randomly....
The sound only happens when the phone is on a flat surface and you have to really listen out for it in a silent room.
Any idea what this is? I do have bluetooth and wifi turned on...
Happened to me last night as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.
Glad im not the only one! It almost sound like the mic is being turned on and is recording! Spooky!!

When you'll hear it next time turn off DTS, touch sounds and lock sounds in sound settings and wait a few seconds.
Buzzing appears a few seconds after some sound came out of the speakers.
Anyone knows who should we contact and where to suggest a fix in the next update?

The Google now function always listens? One processor core Is always dedicated to Google now. You can disable this function. If it is not Google now I am very interested to know too. I am very against Google now do function, I do not like when the phone always listen to what you say. And the voice recognition is so good know days that they can turn it to searchable text in the other end...
Some one did mention it is Chinese. I would be more worried if it was American.

I dont know for sure but I think its the NFC chip in the phone seeking out a connection...it only seems to happen when the phone is on a surface. I could be entirely wrong of course. The thing is NFC looks like its turned off in my settings but I dont think it actually is...
