Something really wrong - Touch Pro, Fuze General

My major problem is that when sb is calling me, it takes the usual 2 seconds till they hear me or they dont hear me at all! I have to restart the phone. Ive flashed it with the GSM Radio ROMs 1.02.25.28 with no change.
Could it be some installed programm?

GPS not working after installing Dutty´s V4

First the usual "appologies" that seem to be "a must" in this forum.
1.) Reason for not posting in the V4 thread is simply because that thread is too large, too full of non-subject replies.
2.) I have read the 2:nd FAQ post, does not even mention the problem with the GPS
3.) I have read the wiki
4.) I have searched the forum (and it does not even find anything because GPS has too few letters)
5.) I have browsed through 50 pages in the V4 thread and did not find an answer (and got tired reading ).
So, my problem:
GPS does not work after I installed the V4 rom. It did work in V3.
I have tried quick GPS, I also started GPS-tool (which did not get a fix either or find any satellites).
The orange blinking LED does not start when using GPS tool (it starts in miomap however).
And googlemaps does not get a fix (or find any satellites) either.
My radio is 12.32 , if that has anything to do with GPS?! I have sim-unlocked the phone. I live in Sweden.
I read a few posts where people seem to have a problem with their GPS after changing radio, even when they revert back to their original radio. During the sim-unlocking process the radio is temporarily changed, maybe that is the source of the problem?

What is the deal with everyone starting new threads instead of posting in the thread where it needs to be.
MY gps works just fine. 1.27.12.11 radio with dutty v4 rom.

I like it.. you apologised for not following the rules.. then didnt follow them. excellent.
The Dutty V4 thread is the one most likely to be of use.. I know its full of people not posting in the right place.. but adding to that isn't going to help.
As to the problem.. People keep reporting GPS issues with the Radio ROM's... Now It may be me but the radio rom shouldnt have anything to do with the GPS... unless im mistaken its a seperate chip and will have a seperate flash (which you probably cant modify)
What COM port are you trying to use? What are your External GPS settings set too in the control panel?
I got no problems with new threads on new issues. 150+ pages is just useless.
I haven't seen the GPS problem you talk about. Might try re-flashing your radio version, or a different version.
No neither do I.. But this isn't a new issue..
Loads of people are saying they have GPS issues after flashing..
At least a few of them I've seen are actually caused by people not understanding what they are on about (A few of the people seem to be confused by the fact the GPS may be on a different COM port after the flash for example)
the others all seem to follow the logic that changing the radio may help.. so trying that would be a good place to start (flashing back to the radio the device e shipped with for example and seeing if the GPS now works int he new Os with the old radio?)
I've never had a GPS problem.. But have seen all these fixes so many times whilst reading other threads I can regurgitate them, and thats without even searching for this issue.

start gps test
program files\chartcross\gpstest\bin\gpstest
this works for me
"Duttys DualTouch v4 RTM Release [ FAQ added in Post 2]" thread on 158 page
Go through the setup again.... If need be try a hard reset then Run GPSTest
Ensure you are using a radio compatible with Dutty's ROM. Try one or all of
these first, then report back what you find if it doesn't come back.
You shouldn't have to duck when you poke your head into the forum. Just be thankful it's not a contact sport yet. Just because you're using one ROM or another avoid attributing the problems/issues with that persons ROM. There are so many things that can create problems and user error is the biggest culpret.
Who can blame you for not putting this under the ROM release thread? It's too broad, likely not applicable, and everyone and his uncle has posted something there.
Cheers.
Ok thanks for the answers. Somehow the GPS just started working again, but I will never know why I started google maps, mio maps, tomtom a few times, and suddenly after 2 days the gps started working I was just about changing rom and radio, but now it seems as if I will stick to V4 a couple of days
thanks!
this version works ok with nearly all apps and cooked apps the only problem is the touchflo, the touch flo works but its not 100%

TomTom + Dutty's 6.1 trouble

Anyone have trouble where the top most bar (the one with the battery & signal strength icons) locks up after running TomTom 6? The bar appears to have a part of the tomtom screen graphics on it, and it completely covers all the stuff that should appear up there. Any ideas? It seems to be causing a failure of some sort.
I have exactly the same problem. In fact it happens on some other apps too. I'll try and get some reproducible sequences up here for the smarter folks to take a look at.
I'll try and do the same. Have you found a workaround to fix things, or do you do a soft reset?

I'm on 6.030
I will only say this . . .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=363431
Please look at that page and good luck. 6.1 and any GPS program are having difficult problems. This, tested by myself and others, fixes those problems for the time being. Good luck.
This is not a TOMTOM problem, this is a general issue on the ROM. I can not reproduce it reliably, but it has happened again. Basically, the Start bar stops.
Definately a general rom problem. I tried all there recommended radios, all have had the problem.
I had the same problem but gone when deactivating CUBE.

No Sound?
I got no sound, that's kinda weird-ish right?
Though my speaker (ear) when calling seems to work, the outside speaker for listening to mp3's or putting the call on speaker does nothing.
Anyone recognizes this?

I had the same problem, you need to read the second post on the Dutty WM6.1 thread, you must use a radio compatible with 6.1, there are atleast 3 there, as soon as i flashed a new radio to my phone my sound worked perfectly
That's strange dude, i already used a WM6.1 compatible Radio rom from another Post. Well, thnx anyway.

AT&T Tilt w 6.1 , what Radio???

what radio are the USA at&t customers using?? i cant seem to get my gps to work correctly. plus the overall radio performance isnt as good as it was. love the new rom, just need to try a different radio.

Dude, you're turning into the king of redundant threads. There are about a dozen radio threads, so why post a new one, why???
There are only about 4 or 5 radios that will work with 6.1 & EACH WILL PERFORM DIFFERENTLY DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE AT AS WELL AS OTHER FACTORS. If you want the best for you , then try them.
im not sure i could be king of redundant threads when i havent posted in weeks
i cant get my GPS to work with any of these radios.
i get an error message from GPS Tool that says: "Port not yet Opened!"
i searched the error message and really came up with nothing

so use gpstest. or u could open the port.
I like 1.58.25.14 and my GPS works great. I had my GPS stop working a while ago and I had to do a hard reset and reflash before it came back. Try google maps .cab and set it to COM4 and 57600 and see if that helps.

So, when you run GPS Tool, you get to the Settings tab screen. The COM Port should read COM4:, set the Baudrate to 4800. Then tap on the OPEN button. That should do it for you. You should then see info going by in the log area in the bottom half of the screen.
If not, let me know what's happening for you.

Use GPS tool.
Try this
Have Google Maps running.
click the GPS
Open QuickGPS. It should be able to get a GPS lock in about 10-20 seconds. Works for me anyways.
thanks guys, i changed my radio and followed some of your suggestions and its up and going

Someone didn't tell you that's how you get things done around here...

GPS lag & bad fix

hello,
nobody talk anymore about GPS lag and bad fix...
Still got this and have to use external GPS....
anything new about this??
how to fix this?
tried all registry tricks.. nothing...
thank you
Why are you starting a new thread?
It's a known error and here people are working for a solution.
So I don't know what you mean with "nobody talk anymore about GPS lag" ??
...another person that can't be bothered to do a search i guess!!!
(in fact there are a couple of threads on the first page talking about this) Sigh!

Why doesn't YouTube ever connect?

Hi, the youtube app on my fuze is horrible. I can hardly connect when people in my same location can with their iphones on the same network(att). I usually have about 1-2 bars of HSDPA and even when it switches to EDGE which is what their phones catch in my area I still can't watch. It keeps saying connecting. Anybody have any idea what this may be? I don't have stock ROM, I flashed to RRE Fuze Edition, and my radio is version .28 if this info helps. I'm also new to all of this so sorry if this thread isn't in the right place and if I didn't provide enough info. This is Really frustrating though.

Search is a good option is this forum . Search, !!!!!
open your IE on your phone and open a website, then without closing the IE, open the youtube app and it will connect .
in my experience, it will work after, even after soft reset.
there is a Cab fix for it as well .
Thunder
I tried the search option and I couldn't find any threads dealing with my question. I'll try searching a little better. Thanks for the advice though I will try it.
