And also if we can remove the Write Protection from it, then we can Build our customized EXT_Rom, and use the extra few MBs -if any- for other Gizmos.

Have you tried Resco Explorer, I beleieve it is able to see the contents of the Extension ROM, I am not sure whether you can also edit it, but just give it a try.
the totalcommander shows the content from extended rom, but you cant edit/delete

Hhi thanks for your hard work. Im very new to this (2 days!). I got a SPV M500 and changed it to the 1.12 rom called TODO and installed Wisbar2 and some other things like pdf reader and TCMP.
I tried to use the software "Photo Contacts" as described in my manual but it is missing. This is the term i searched and found your new thread - thank you
I assume I missed out a step or something - what is extrom - is this what i need to do- install an extrom?
Please could you explain (in baby language!) the best course of action, im hoping not to start again with bigstorage etc and instead would just like to install "Photo Contacts" or something similar and perhaps some of the other programs you have mentioned above. Hopefully that is possible.

While this may seem like a newbie question for the seniors, here goes..
Can i edit my ROM to remove some files that i consider useless for me ? I know how to extract the ROM and of course i can edit the extracted data/files, but how do i like put it back on the device?

EDIT: I Googled for "Editing ROMs" and came up with Hex Editors and Zophar's Domain. Does it have to do anything with what i want?

Did that, in fact i tried "prophet rom cooking" and came up with lots of useful stuff. Now i am gonna try it out.
BTW: can i try out ROM Cooking on an Emulator such as the one from Microsoft? Instead of putting my device to the danger of bricking?

Excuse what may be a daft question but:
Can these be copied over to the device and placed in a folder other that the Windows folder?
The reason I ask is that when trying all the various Touch components it slows accessing my Windows folder down dramatically. (Also slows the device down generally)
There are no ROMS that include these different components for the Charmer.

I have successfully installed the new Home plugin using the theloon 4.1 beta, however I can't get the new comm manager to install at all. Any ideas on what I need to do? I don't have touchflo enabled, in case that matters.
I took a quick look at the rgu file - it is very different from the one in the 8B touchflo version. It's also about 140k larger. It doesn't look like it's the correct file.
I don’t know why but I can’t enable the Favorites People tab. There is a registry entry or something else to make this work?

Be carefull with file OMAP850_SDHC_MUX.DLL, if it was taken from HTC 1.15 rom, it`s buggy file. A lot of problems we have in vox with that file in this rom.

Hello, thanks for help guys I've taken my files from HTC_Vox_ARA_1.27.415.4_4.1.13.47_02.98.90 so is it buggy? Because I don't generally know much about Vox roms because my phone is Tornado and i just need a few files to try making SDHC available. I've got another request, could anyone make me a full registry dump of Vox? I mean one saved in a .reg file or anything readable if you don't know how i'll try to explain. Not to worry, files from ARA 1.27 look to be ok, no problems with these on this rom. Only files from 1.15 are no good to be used in development.

Take the spaces out when pasting. But basically you need to go to HTCs website and look for the upgrade there. You will most likely need sync and be connected to a pc to do it. Hope this helps.
