Earlier today, HTC finally added a "Software Download" page for the HTC Touch Pro... Still no software on it - but it does make me think that they are getting closer to posting something.

When you enter htc worldwide homepage and go to support -> touch pro there is still no section download.

Is there anywhere in the web a list of all the official HTC software?
I strongly suggest either the link, or a custom list of these software should be available in the front page of the wiki. It would be really useful.

After a weekend in an unfamiliar city trying to navigate using my Touch Pro and CoPilot Live for HTC Diamond edition, and with the device failing to update the route or updating the route 30 seconds after passing a junction rendering it completely unusable I decided to go the official HTC route.
Monday was an email from the HTC site.
I had two responses, one telling me that my English email query was in a foreign language and technical queries could only be submitted in English . . .
The second providing me with a link to the HTC Contact numbers page from their website telling me to call in as the problem requires further diagnoses.
Without boring you with a very long story and 3 days making various phone calls to HTC, the outcome is pretty much as follows;
- There are no known issues with the Touch Pro GPS within the HTC Wiki, FAQ or Knowledgebase tool used by the Helpdesk.
- I had 3 different suggestions on setting up the GPS manually - using different COM ports and baud rates.
- I was told that CoPilot Live for HTC Diamond won't work on a Touch Pro
- I was advised to setup the GPS using Tom Tom 7, and then use the satnav software of my choice.
- I could if I wanted to, update the ROM with an official HTC ROM update released recently for Dutch Voda and T-Mob customers. This apparently fixes poor signal on the radio of these devices but does not impact the GPS functionality.
So the upshot is, I appear to be stuck ! I cannot purchase an official copy of TT7 as my device wasn't shipped with the TT7 "trial version". I have already tried using a TT7 cab file from this forum but it would not allow me to connect to TT Home and download offically purchased version 7 maps (I got a refund from TT), so I purchased CoPilot Live for HTC Diamond.
It has worked once successfully two months ago, but I have experienced issues ever since. No additional software or changes have been made on the device during this time.
Not quite sure what to do next really. . . . .
I have downloaded and installed the toolbar on IE. I click on Sakajati and get the download page. However, when I try to download something it goes full circle and brings me back to the "get toolbar" page. What am I doing wrong?
Also, not real familiar with some of the links. Link for M2D newest takes you to some p2p type sharing page which wants you to register. Anyone have a link for the latest M2D and also Manilla.
Finally, I saw the pole...any comments on the best ROM. I have been using December 13 or 25 (not sure) Hyperdragon III and wanted to try the new "lite" rom but did not want to lose the pdf feature or the Microsoft voice command.
Sakajati's roms are pretty old now since he has stopped making them as far as I know. Last one seems to be from May 4th. I use TCP Elite V11 and its my favorite so far.

Press the little arrow next to SakaJati on the tool bar and then press refresh, that will refresh all the links. Go to home and those links will take you to the latest rom and his download center.
Since he doesn't come here much anymore, you would be better off posting on his forum....http://sakajati.com/forum/ all links and new rom news is there.
For M2D links, check my signature.
Please ask for Sakajati Support in his Forums or in the Kaiser General, problems with the toolbar are not realted to ROM development.

Having recently ordered the FIFA World Cup 2010 PS3 game for my son, I have now been sent a code to download a mobile version of the game. The list of supported devices included the following HTC devices (I added the "= ***" after looking them up):
HTC P3450 = HTC Touch (QVGA)
HTC T3333 - touch = HTC Touch2 (QVGA)
HTC T8585 - touch = HTC Touch HD2 (WVGA)
HTC P3700 = HTC Touch Diamond (VGA)
HTC T5353 = HTC Touch Diamond 2 (WVGA)
HTC T7373 = HTC Touch Pro 2 (WVGA)
HTC 8925 = HTC Tytn II (QVGA)
I, stupidly, assumed that seeing as other WVGA HTC WinMo devices were on the list, then my Touch HD would be ok. However I get a message saying my device isn't supported. My first thought was that it may be Opera 10 causing this incompatibility (would not be the 1st time), so I changed my default browser to IE. Still the same message. I browsed to the "My Account" section only to see my device was detected as "Mozilla". I changed the IE options to "browse as mobile device". Now I still get the "unsupported" message, but my device is detected as "Handset Type: HTC T8282 Touch HD".
So my first question is, what registry setting do I need to change so that I can report my device as either the T8585 or T5353? I clearly need to do this to enable me to download the game.
Second question is, how can I return Opera 10 as being my default browser? I thought it'd be a simple setting, but I cannot find anything.
FYI, my Touch HD is running an Energy WM6.5 ROM (see sig).

Ok, a continued web search still didn't turn anything up. However, upon searching the registry for "T8282" I found just the following key:
HKLM\Security\Internet Explorer\User Agent\CustomBase = HTC_Touch_HD_T8282 Mozilla/4.0
By then doing a websearch of the key, I was able to find out that I should change the value to "HTC_HD2_T8585 Mozilla/4.0". Having done this, I still get an "unsupported" message despite my phone identifying itself as an HD2 (see attachments). Is there likely to be something else that is still identifying the device as a T8282?

I guess what you are offering is to d/load the game on my behalf and forward it on? I do not know if this game will be native (cab) or Java (jar). Hopefully it would be native. If so, would the cab remain on the device to enable you to forward it on or "backup" to allow reinstall? Or would it download/ install/ remove cab? I don't know the normal EA process.
I have actually raised a ticket with EA questioning its availability. The console game has a release date of tomorrow. I am wondering if this mobile game won't be downloadable until then either?
I will update here once I get a response. If I need someone to d/load on my behalf, then I will PM for your number so as I can forward the message.

The way I would try to change the user agent in opera 10 is thru the configuration file. Mainly
1. Enter OPERA:CONFIG in the url field in opera.
2. Scroll down to the USER AGENT section, and change the setting to something other than 1, maybe 4 or 5 as explained here.
3. SAVE and re-start opera (or maybe device just in case).
However, it could be this setting actually changes the registry value you found. Anyway, just another idea.

I've seen that wifi internet tethering/sharing is supported on mango devices and its actually available on the new HTC phones like TItan. Also, I've seen on the deployment section of this forum that people have figured out how to enable this on older wp7 phones from Samsung. How can this feature be enabled on older HTC phones running Mango, such as HD7 or mozart? I've been waiting for this feature forever.. If its available on Titan, which is from HTC, running the same Mango OS that I have on my HD7, why cant it be enabled on HD7?
i heard that we have to wait for hardware update.
HTC announced that it will release a firmware update in the future that enable tethering.
but when? mango's here, new mango phones are here... when will the firmware/hardware update be herE? and how would we know? would it pop like like the software update notification on the phone?
I just received a HTC Update a day after I updated to Mango 7720 from 7712 (Developer unlocked HD7) but there is no internet sharing option. I wonder what that htc update was for?

i got internet sharing option under Settings on my phone. But upon turning it on, i get an error message saying there's something wrong with the settings.

Instead of creating a new thread, you could have simply followed the already existing thread of enabled IS.
They are working on it, for every phone, so just sit tight and wait for them to do so. Subscribe to the thread if you have to, but its most definitely being worked on.

Hello, I cannot find the topic you're talking about. I have HTC 7 Pro, 7.10.7720.68, open market. When will I receive update enabling internet sharing or is there any unofficial way to enable it? I am forced to use my old WM6.1 device to do internet sharing from 3G to bluetooth to PC, but I want to use my Windows Phone!
