Cooking tutorial, please!!!

Can anyone please place a tutorial of some sort on HOW to cook...the important bits....
I have been reading a lot of this forum and there seems to be alot os spreaded info....
They all talk on how to compileand/or decompile the rom to its various parts..but no-one has yet talked about how to add/ remove programs, where/how to get OEM packages, etc....
I hould also be gratefull if someone linked me to a wm6 standart rom with NO special features/ program added, just the OS...

I hope thingonaspring will write a tutorial (at least for his kitchen)
I second this plea.
A couple of weeks ago a senior member thingonaspring has asked if such a kitchen tutorial is needed. And many people said it would be great. I was particularly happy about this as thingonaspring's writing style is very detail and clear (just see his replies in the forum).
Hopefully we will see the tutorial soon. It is quite difficult to cook a working ROM without a detail tutorial. I have tried to cook one myself using all the information I could find on the forum. I even was able to flash it in the end. However, no CABs could be installed on this ROM for some reason. The installation process was just unsuccessful without much extra info.

I confirm that this decompile process works.
I can also confirm that thingonaspring kitchen and tutorial for compiling works.
What I haven't tested yet is to decompile a ROM with hypercore, change modules or OEM and then compile it with thingonaspring process.
Jwrightmcps already wrote that he can do all the process with hypercore, so maybe you can also try it.

Leo and I will hopefully release our Kitchen, towards the end of this year, early new year.
The Kitchen is very simplified but still requires work to release to general public.
At the moment, it supports a "one click" build function (That isn't really one I suppose) basically you hit the build button, BuildOS loads up, you select the OEMs that you wish to include in your build, then sit back and watch.
If there are no errors, you are prompted to connect your device in BootLoader mode and the flash util will flash your device with your Rom.
It is difficult to write a "general" guide to cooking as their are so many various kitchens that you can use.
For now I'd advise checking out Buzz's site and reading through his detailed instrcutions on using cooking Roms.

How to transform the Mobile 6.0 in Portuguese (Brazil)?
I would like to learn how to upgrade to the mobile 6.1, how to do this without having problems?
Ve read topics saying that if not properly updated the unit does not turn over, this is true?

The only way I know so far is flash a ROM alread translated. Sad but true

Hey dude,
The only way to change to the language of a ROM is flashing a new one.
And yes, its true you can broke your PDA if you don't do it the right way.
Please, read a little before trying to flash it, and you'll see its simple.
Do some search in the forum and start reading the FAQ here and then Flashing your First Rom (For Newbs) by mskip.
That was what I have done and now I'm a flash addicted, always flashing new roms on my kaiser. Also note that you can flash shipped roms, the originals from htc for example, or you can flashed cooked roms, roms changed by some smarty guys here @ xda.
Ah, I notice that you're from brasil.. I do know portuguese since I'm from Portugal.. if you need some help in Portuguese, pm me. I'll reply as soon as possible

Hi partners! Yes the sys is very stable. I published this rom in spanish in HTCSpain.com, and the posts tells that the rom works very well. Maybe a little problem with the alarm notification, but i'm working on it.
I decide to publish this here in english.
The rom works ok in elf, but it's a little short of memory. Soon i will publish a Elf rom, with the same sys/xip but less program charge.
In spanish this are the numbers:

Humrod, I have not tried your ROM yet, but are you able to change the ring tones under the Phone options? I am trying out a build of my 21109 and I am unable to do it; it changes back to the default.
Also it seems like 21109 is using the older PIE and older touch scrolling, unlike 21015. That is strange.

Well, I use a Hermes sys, without changes. I'ts true that has not the "Buttrefinger" effect. I will check the sys report and send you the txt by pm.
About the ringtones: I give the rom to 3 betatesters and anyone tell me nothing about. I was on this rom for four or five days, but i don't try to change. In fact i make the OldPhone as default. We can wait for any user to report that

Great rom vast and looks very nice. For elf mem. is a problem only 8 to 9mb left. I only have one problem can't get system permission to instal opal keybord to get dutch t9.
Looking forward to the elf version.

I change ringtone that is ok.problem is low memory in elf

[REQUEST] - -Iolite *0816* (PTG) XIP & SYS port

i have an special request for "gurus" in this community ...
i started in cooking "buisness" because is hard to find god roms in my native language (PTG) *0816*
but the stock rom that htc has for my language is an so old build that is impossible to follow the more recent stuff
so my idea is to port the XIP and SYS from last Iolite stock rom and apply it in my stock rom.. to start cooking some cool and updated stuff...
but the problem is.. that at this time.. after some failed experiments in porting... i dont have already the right knowledge to start in porting "buisness" ...
with some more experience i know later i will manage to do that :b step by step ...
so im here asking if someone can port Iolite XIP & SYS in PTG (0816) language ... i already found 0409 ports from mbarvian .. but i cant find in 0816

I think Anrl has a Iolite kitchen already. Search for how to translate ROMS, and you might be able to do it yourself with his kitchen!

Were you not held as a child? Clearly he says he doesn't know what he is doing with porting, so either he needs to send out a personal message to a chef to take them under their wing to teach him (nothing wrong with that ), or he needs to just ask one to make him the ROM as I suggested. There IS no need for this post which is why there hasn't been any legitimate response. There is no need for your rudimentary commentary.

I think I can help you. I did a backup of the original ROM (the Vodafone spanish one, yep), I just restored it, wiped it, backed it up again and uploaded it. It should work for you!

Just unrar it and put it in your sdcard, on the nandroid/"your-device-id" folder. Restore and have fun .

Just to clarify, it's a nandroid backup, not a ROM. I'm only saying it to avoid confusions if you search around .
Right now I only have 5 minutes, sorry, later this night I can further try to help you. In the meanwhile, I'm sure you can find everything you need on the Q&A posts. To put it short, you need to: boot into recovery and restore a nandroid backup.
Sorry but I need to go now, good luck!
PS: Btw, why do you need the original ROM? I mean, you have a lot of MUCH BETTER ROMs here on xda .

I have cyanogen rom is good and fast. Do you have another rom in your magic? i try hero`s roms but they have a lot of problems.
ps: i have a problem with sms`s. all my long sms`s dont display correct caracters after the 142 caracter. do you now how to resolve this?
