Samsung i780 error - Non-Touchscreen Windows Mobile Other

I hope someone can help me, i bought this phone a while back and it started to give me a cprog.exe error everytime i reset it or when the battery gets low and the phone switches off. Then i must hard reset and that takes it to factory and i must setup again. I did send it back, the flashed the software, but the prob is still there.
Somewhere i read that a chip must be changed to solve it, do someone here know which chip? The guys that i bought the phone from said they will fix it if i know what chip needs replacing!
Please respond, this is a very nice phone but this error is driving me nuts!!

Phone is dead???

My Orange SPV has died on me - did it yesterday, just went blank and wouldnt turn on, then after battery removal and fiddling it burst back into life and was fine. Today it did the same, but it won't come back - I thought it was a flat battery, but its still the sames with a fresh charged one. When I plug the phone into the charging cradle, the 'phone live' light shows red.
Any suggestions how to fix it ? - the unit is bog-standard, and I havn't done anything to kill it.
Any suggestions welcome, thanks

hi chirag
if know the hardware then heat up the processor with blowergun or hotairgun what ever you call it but put the liquide solder past on it first then in hotairgun the temp on 4 and air on 4 or 5 and blow for 1.5 to 2 min on processor and disk on chip or ram give the hot air to it after that put ipa on it and clean the hole thing put your display and battery and make hard rest or flash fresh rom on it .
i think its work for you
the reson of boot up failure
is because the extrem use of your phone is make the bollgride which is connecting your processor and motherbord Drysolder in it after this action all drysolder is resolder to its place and its start reworking
Thanks

[Help] O2 Cocoon big problem..!!!

I have O2 Cocoon but i dont know why sometime it's automatic turn off and i need to take off battery and put it in again to make it work
And 1 day it's off again but when i turn it on...it's keep repeat start up screen...and it's doesn't booting....!! it's always stuck into start up screen and keep repeat like forever...!!! and the important thing is it's can turn on start up screen when i plug the charger in....and with out charger it's said battery is too low (it's always said that when i have charger on...[When i hold Power Buttons)
Can't load start up screen on with out charger....!!!
Some one know how to fix it or have some idea to fix it..!!1
Thank you
Paul
that sounds like a serious hardware issue.
something related to power.
did you try to replace the battery?
i did...but it's samething ..!!
If you can't even get to load the OS and your device keeps on resetting, i'm afraid it's not something you can deal with..
of course, i might be mistaken, so i suggest you conduct a deep search into the forum concerning this issue. I hope you find an answer.
oh i did seach for the answer but i can't find it...and someone said i need to send my fone to O2 stores to fix it...cus this is an O2 fault..!!!
Yeah
Im currently having the same exact problem with my "fuze". mine currently has a custom rom on it and i thought maybe that its just some internal problem with the os. All that i think will fix our problems is a hard reset...does anyone know how to hard reset this device because for some reason the normal way is not an option.
ioono why o2 have this problem alot

HTC Touch pro AT&T is not loaded

Hi,
I just bought used HTC touch pro and have problem with it. It doesn't want to load windows, I switch it on it shows gray screen hangs for 20 seconds and restarts again, please help me I don't know how can I solve the problem, battery is charged!!!!
Please respond me ASAP!
Thanks you
I bought it from Ebay now I need to understand send it back to seller or problem can be solved via flashing. I'm new in this area, it my first PDA phone please help!
You should contact the seller. If they sold the phone as working, then send it back. If they sold the phone as not working properly or for spares/repair then you will be wanting to read the wiki & flashing guides (in the Raphael ROM developement section).
Thanks Beeble for response, the problem is they sold it as "great working condition" , another problem is they ship only in US, I told them to send it to my friend who lives in US, now he contacted me and told that it shows gray screen on startup and restarts after 20 seconds, so I'm trying to understand tell him to end back or you may help me or advice how to solve possible software problem
Thanks again
my friend just told me that now it detects wifi network and asks to which one connect but neither touch screen and buttons is not working. He tried to boot with reset and center button pressed he said now it doesn't switched off even with power button.
Please advice something, it is very important for me.
Tell your friend to send it back if the phone was suppose to be sold in working condition as in all functions of the phone are in working order
I guess I will do so. What do you think, it is a hardware or software problem ?
Its not possible to troubleshoot it from the information given. It *sounds* like a hardware problem, but without seeing the phone, and without (please dont take offence) someone with some technical view who knows what the phone is supposed to do it really isnt possible to be sure. Maybe the seller will get it back, do a hard reset & it'll be fine. BUT unless they want you to do it - DONT do anything. If you (or your friend) starts to play with the software the seller may claim any problems were the result of your "tinkering".
Simply contact the seller telling them the problem, ask if there is anything they would like you to try yourself, if not - or if those actions fail - simply send it back.

Hardware reset - Question

Hello all
I come today with a question that i hope someone will have an answer for.
Week ago my Nexus 5 turned of and would not turn on, at all. Only times it showed signs of life was when it was charging. Then it would show the google logo for half a second and then turn of, then do the same thing forever. There was no way to enter the recovery or any other part of the phone.
This is how it looks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wNZfC1LSBA
After reading lots of stuff on the net and contacting Google and LG(with no help from either) i figured it was game over for the phone but i decided to send the phone for repair to a bigger city in my country some 400km away.
Here is where it gets interesting. Today my father delivered the phone and they fixed it literally in 3minutes. When my father asked what they had done, they said to him (or atleast thats how he understood it) that they have done a hardware reset. Apparently the phone got "blocked" somehow and they simply reseted the hardware.
My question is, what the hell is a hardware reset and how do i perform it myself???
I have tried EVERYTHING i could find on the internet to try and fix the phone before sending it, im not the greatest expert but id like to think i know my way around android more then the average user. I have to say again, the phone showed no signs of life, it was impossible to enter recovery so i have no idea how they could have done it.
I would really like to learn how to do this, so i am prepared if it happens in the future.
Thank you for your time
Factory reset?

I need help :/

Hi guys, I'm sincerely apologizing if this is the wrong place to open a thread about something like that, I couldn't figure out where else to write down my issue. I've been told here are people that know the most about devices and that someone might be able to solve an issue I got with my Samsung s6 Edge. The samsung support has been not helpful at all and it's either sending it to them to repair it and loose all my files or at least before doing that at least trying to save some of my personal files. The problem yet is that I can't even get into my phone. I was charging it at night and suddenly I saw a flashing Samsung Logo on screen with a blue LED that flashes as well. So the device had to be turned itself off and then it was restarting but it couldn't get pass the 2nd SAMSUNG loading Screen and got stuck. That's all. From then on I wasn't able to do anything with it. First I thought it may be making some updates, but then again I turned off my wifi before going to sleep. So that can't be the case. I waited hours, because I was hoping it might get pass it at some point but it didn't. While waiting I looked up tutorial to fix it but nothing seemed to work out and then I called the samsung support which basically just told me to turn it on and off without any real solving advice. So here I am. desperate to just save up the last photos and that's it. Does anyone know a solution that won't mess with my guarantee.
Again, I'm really sorry if this isn't the right place to ask.
Thanks for reading if you made it up to here,
Erika

You may get more help by getting the thread moved to Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.
To do so, simply click the "report button" and select "thread/post moving".
Now, on with the issue. What you're having seems to be a bootloop.
One thing you could try is booting into recovery and wiping the cache.
I'm not exactly sure how booting to recovery works on the S6, but it generally is: turn the phone off, then hold the power button + volume up button until the phone vibrates. If that doesn't work, try adding the home button to that combo, or just Google how to boot into recovery.
Anyway, if that doesn't work, then I'm afraid there won't be any other solution than reinstalling the firmware yourself or sending it to warranty (where they will probably reinstall the firmware).
Your photos shouldn't be affected in the process, as they are saved on the internal memory and, unless somebody wipes it, you shouldn't lose your files.
But you will definitely lose your apps and app data in the process.
Flashing the firmware yourself should not void the warranty.
The process can be done with Odin (a software also used by Samsung). I'm not sure how familiar you are with flashing, but you may want to do some reading or watch video guides on the subject of using Odin. Since the S6 is pretty much a new device, I'm sure you will find lots of video tutorials for the S6 specifically.
And, as I said, your internal storage stuff should be safe too.
