i would like to map the volume buttons to chance the screen brightness. im using AEBplus but it doesnt work. there was here a thread about mapping these keys and svitching sth on to make it work but i cant find it :-/

After some time of running the device volume buttons are acting as scroll. This can be good.. but the TouchFlow volume window comes up and it is very annoying.
The only way to revert this "feature" is to power down (soft reset does not do nothing).
Has anybody else observed this "feature"?
I'm looking for a tweek to change function of volume buttons for scroll buttons - looking veeeeeeery hard !

I've found the problem: it was caused by SKScheMa (used it to lock touch screen on incoming call)

why not use the Buttons app to remap the buttons? Start->Settings->Buttons.

It is very limited, only 4 buttons. You can not remap with it roller buttons - up, down, left, right and middle.
You can use Vito ButtonMapper

Sorry, I saw to late that you want to map the buttons through registry. I will dig into the registry to find the keys
I've got an XDA Ignito (Touch Diamond), and it only shows one button (voice speed dial) in the buttons app.
When looking in the registry there is only the key: 40C6, which is the Voice Speed dial, but no other keys.
Is it possible to add a key, and map it to a hardware button, maybe the ones above the phone keys, without using other software like AE Button +?
I have already tried with the keys 40C1-10 and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Any ideas?

For mapping keyboard buttons, use PQzII. I have Ctrl+Enter → OK

There is other threads about that issue, it "kinda" works, but not as it should...

My Touch Pro's volume buttons suddently aren't working correctly anymore. When I press one of the buttons, the volume screen is displayed correctly, but when i press the volume up/down key, the volume doesn't go up/down, instead it works as an arrow up/down on the currently running program.
What can I do to restore the volume keys function?

Sounds like you have remapped its function either with a mapping app, tweaker or reg edit. Basically undo what you did to get back to "normal" operation.
Hi sorry I tried looking around for a answer couldn't find anything.
So the volume keys on my g tablet are locked, when I press them I get the volume bar on screen but its at 0, and when I press volume+ it does nothing
Its registering the key presses but not doing the function.
So is there a way together volume on my tablet, with or with out the volume keys?
How do you get the volume keys working again?
Using vegan rom, all soft touch keys work, only other problem I have is the sleep of death.
