Music ripper on ppc? - General Topics

hi guys
i've been searching for a long time for a prog like streambox ripper that works directly on my ppc so that i can rip music to different qualities from my ppc without going back to the pc to do so.
is there such a prog or the like?

please answer me
if the prog doesn't exist tell me

we would if we knew for a fact that such a program didn't exist
the fact that we haven't come across one or heard or read about it
don't mean there isn't one

Being a little pushy don't you think?

App to record streaming audio?

Hi, I've been looking around ALOT for a app that would record the audio from live radio streams example.. shoutcast, di.fm and others.
If your still not familiar with what I'm talking about there's a program called RipCast that does it but its for PC. But does anyone know of any for wm6?
I use resco radio to record streams through the hh http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/default.asp
There are some apps, for pc of course, I use one called radiotracker to record the internet radios I like on the pc and afterwards put the files on whatever device I wanna listen to them.
I use the free program mp3mymp3 http://www.mp3mymp3.com/ on the desktop but the OP is asking for recorders on the pda. Resco is the only one I know of http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/default.asp
Yeah sorry, I understood what he wanted .But I though that this one might also help, in case he can't find anything that could work on his wm6.

Looking for MP3 editor or studio

Hi,
I'm searching for a free (or commercial) MP3 editor or Studio for WM6.1 (touch pro). It is not for ringtones but I use mp3 for practising my singing.
I want to be able to select a section of a mp3 and edit this.
Delete selection
Copy Past (So I can make a section repeat itself)
Merge mp3 files
Cut mp3 files and then save all
On the old midi-discs recorder these options were standard, however thesedays only really high-end mp3 players offer these functions.
Regards,
AJ
you would prob have an easier time moving the files to a computer and doing the edit there as there are piles of free programs for computers which does that
Here's a program like that for PC, I'm gonna browse around and see what I can find for PPC, but I doubt there's anything available.

There are a loft of free programs for pc that's true. However I want to edit these practice files on the road. As soon as I have a section in an one hour recording that I know by heart, I can remove it and focus on the parts that i don't know yet. I was so hoping that the mp3 trimmer was up to my needs, unfortunatly it just cuts the beginning or the end. not something in between.

AJ
didn't know any editor for mp3. there are just several for wave and aufiles:

@Puckmeister and Black93300ZX
Thank you for your responses. Perhaps I'm going to use a wav editor if I really need to, but for now I'm still keeping my fingers crossed and looking for a mp3 editor.

AJ

Video Editing Software

Does anybody know of any video editing software which works with the Topaz?
The only one i can find details for on wm6 is http://www.trakax.com/software/mobile/trial_version/ however this won't work on the Topaz's screen resolution.
Thanks!
None that I know of...
I run a media production company, and I've got a very basic media "workstation" on my topaz already - a mini Photoshop (pocketartist), a mini Cubase (meteor), MS Office, several audio capture and editing programs, but there are 2 things I need to make draft versions for clients on the move. A simple html editor, although I can use Notepad, and a simple video editing program.
The only thing that I've found was the software you also found. It looks quite capable for simple mockups, and is reasonably priced, but was let down by the lack of wvga support. I did email them to ask about this and they said they'd have it sorted sometime in July!
But if anybody knows a good alternative, or decent html editor, I'd really appreciate a nod in the right direction.
On another note, I am still amazed every day that I can have all this software on my everyday phone, that only a few years ago was unthinkable. I can sit on a train and do what I do in the office, with music playing too!

Streaming and RTSP

Anyone know how to get Uni to view stream over RTSP protocol? I've searched and hunted. I've installed Streaming Media, TCPMP, WMP and tried playing around, but to no avail. I know TCPMP doesn't allow RTSP... but does anyone know how to do this?
(I'm currently using Tomal WM6.5 ß2)
nobody uses their Uni to watch TV? I can't believe that!
Anyone?
hi mate
sorry no idea about TV, but if ur talking abt streaming media thru net... then i use mach5 browser it has built in player..... i hope this is wat u asked..
Hi Jonny,
Have you ever tried mobiTV?
I used it in the past and worked great for me.
It is actually a trialware but you can make a trick with the mortscript and it will run forever!
cheers
No. MobiTV shut down in UK in 2007. Can't get for UK or Orange network.
Does anyone use myPlayer or WebTV? What player do people use with these apps?

Strange!
Very sad then. Another similar tool I can remember is Spb TV.
The core player works with streaming, I use it with MyPlayer, and movies, but it is commercial, you can look for a trial

Yes I think I will buy coreplayer, seems to do well. Is there any other program that anybody uses for about the same price that they would recommend over coreplayer?

UPNP on WM - app wanted!

Has anyone had any luck with a upnp client in WM? I havent been able to find one via google and was wondering if anyone here has developed one at all? Searching hasnt given me any threads but i thought it worth asking!
pocketplayer has upnp support but they say in the forum it doesnt support wm 6.5 yet im gonna try it out and see how it works. heres a link to it http://www.conduits.com/assets/PP410/PocketPlayer.WM.CAB
I had discounted pocketplayer on the grounds they said no support for wm6.5. Guess its worth giving ti a go. I was hoping someone might have a plugin for WM media player or similar. Guess not.
Moved as not software release.
