Vox (S710) and the RC E100 - HTC Vox

Has anyone managed to get the RC E100 wired remote controller to work with their Vox? The drivers that came with the E100 won't install and it doesn't seem to work with the standard drivers.

expansys says:
Note: Only applies to devices with integrated FM Radio function
Note:
- Your HTC device may require a driver for this audio accessory to function correctly. If you experience any problems, then please download the driver from here, once the driver is downloaded, the file name needs to be renamed to zip.
- RC E100 is not compatible with YC A100 Y cable or YC A200 multifunctional audio cable

OT: Can I use my Jabra BT 250 with my SOny Vaio PC?

I would like to use my Jabra with my PC.
My PC will find my XDAII OK but not the Jabra.
If I did get it to bond could I use it to make calls via the PCs modem?
All help appreciated.
I've successfully bonded Bluetake G2 headset with Sony Vaio.
Try to update drivers.
I've now bonded it OK but have no services listed.
What else do I need to do?
you may try to download the latest Widcomm drivers. I've seen 1.4.3.4 version somewhere, but I don't remember which version is installed on VAIO. And you may play with installing/uninstalling WinXP SP2 (I don't have it installed).
If you have service pack 2 then you need to change to Widcomms drivers as (surprise surprise) the MS stack doesn't support headset or handsfree. There are plenty of guides on how to do this but try this page http://www.jonsguides.com/bluetooth/ as a good place to start.
I think you also need your modem to support voice connections for you to be able to make a call but I'm less certain about this.

Bluetooth Headset

I was reading around about issue using BT headset with the Himalaya (W2003 not second edition!)
I read several people who installed the WidComm stack, but as far as I have understood, with this hack there are still problems with the headset profile (still I don't now which!).
Talking about the standard MS stack, I read people using Nokia BT headset complaining about it loosing connection and turning off after 10 min. Is this a nokia only issue?
It seems that Jabra hs are working well. Is there any known problem with the standard MS bt stack?
Thanx to anyone who will/could help me reorganize my mind...
Regards,
Francesco
I have a bluetake G2 headset. When I had 1.72 ROM and installed Pocket Bluetooth Tools it worked perfectly. Currently I'm playing with SE ROMs and have not yet used this headset with it.
Widcomm stack does not support headset/handsfree profile on our device. It can bond with headset, but you would not hear any sound.
I am still using the MS BT stack with rom 1.72.00.
NO Pocket Bluetooth Tools (I would like to know why mamaich uses these with a 1.72 rom . . .)
NO issues whatoever with both Headset (Headset Protocol) or GPS (Serial Port Protocol).
Just rocksteady . . .
Bluetooth Activesync not working after PBT
Activesync over bluetooth doesnt work anymore after loading Pocket blue tooth tools,( it was working perfectly well till loaded PBT) It doesnt even give me the option of syncing via BT ( the option one normally gets when one opens activesync on the device ( tools menu 1) Options 2) via IR 3 ) Via BT ) now all I find is options and activesync via IR.
Bluetooth HS810 Microphone not working
I am using a Motorola HS810 bluetooth headset with WM2000SE-Sin-Merged-v2.0 on an XDA II. When I complete pairing, 3 pop-ups all happen at once asking various profiles supported by the Headset - Serial, Headset & Handsfree. I answer yes to the hands-free. (It's only possible to see the other pop-ups due to the handy alt-tab applcation supplied with this ROM version!)
The earpiece works just fine, but the microphone does not. I need to speak into the mic on the XDA II to be heard.
...I have now reverted to 1.72.00WWE & all is fine. It seems to be a problem with WM2000SE....
Any ideas?

W100 wired remote not working

Hi
I really hope someone can help me as I have been trawling these forums and at Expansys and MoDaCo as well. I have a Vodafone V1415 incarnation of the S710. I bought the W100 wired remote (with 3.5mm jack) which came with cd of drivers and I get the usual "your phone already has the latest drivers..." as disucssed on other forums.
I then followed the advice from another forum of manually installing the .cab file, but there are several. I picked one which then knocked out all the audio and I had to do a hard reset - does anyone know which one to choose? I'm really loathed to try each driver and have to hard reset each time - in fact someone has, as a reply to my MoDaCo post on this subject, but none of them worked. Anyone any other ideas or another 3.5mm adapter that will work?
I contacted HTC support, who responded slightly strangely since it is not a bluetooth headset (the supplied headset works fine):
Thank you for contacting HTC Europe but unfortunately you might find

Many thanks,
Alec.
Did you try the driver from HTC.com? I don't know if they're the same as the drivers from the CD, but if you register your phone and go to other downloads > S710 then there are audio drivers. Hope it'll work for you
HTC drivers
I think the dirvers from HTC's website are the same as on the cd (which is from HTC) - however, they no longer appear to be available on HTC's site (even when logged into HTC e-club). When I last loked there was a choice anyway, so I still wouldn't know which one to use.
Anyone know of any other adapters that may work?
Did anyone follow that up - possibly with the new cooked ROMs and 6.1?
I also had no success getting it work on the VOX - a pity :-(
The RC W100 (or RC E100 with a stereo earphone) seems to work with touchscreen devices only.
Any confirmations it does also not work with the new ROMs or proof that it does work (how?)?

[Resolved] How can I use my computer as a Headset device for my phone with Bluetooth?

Hello,
I want to extract the audio from my phone (the analog TV and FM/AM receiver mainly) and play it through my computer speakers. There is a headphone jack but it is of non-standard size (slightly smaller, probably 2.5mm).
Both my laptop and my phone support A2DP but for some reason the service (from the phone) does not show up while I add a new connection and the phone does not let me initiate a connection with any other profile except FTP (although it detects other services in the service list like A2DP and works perfectly fine with other profiles like DUN, HID, OPP, SSP if the connection is started through the computer).
I am currently using the latest version of the Toshiba stack, I have tried using WIDCOMM but it refuses to install drivers for both the internal Bluetooth and the USB Bluetooth that I use on my desktop. The standard Microsoft stack (generic driver) does install but it does not work with both of my devices as they do not detect any Bluetooth devices when scanning.
How can I make my phone detect my computer as a headset?
Thanks in advance.
