i'm living in Israel and for signing up the skyfire beta2 i need US cellular number that they will send me the code in SMS.
i need any1 from US to get this SMS for me and send me the code in private.
there's a volunteers?

I just signed up for one and probably wont use it but i've yet to get the text message.

No you can not use any other users link! Why is this so hard to understand!! Your copy is linked to the phone by it's phone number and device info. Plus the login and password must match the phone number. Trust me, I've switched phones, and had to update the info to work. Only 1 user per copy, and it's the registered user only!

My faves issue after cupcake

the tittle says it all... i dont have the my faves icon anymore =/ der fore i cant change my faves or change numbers or anything D= help plz... this happened after i updated to 1.5(cupcake)

Just log into my.tmobile.com you can change them there.

In the time that it took you to write that post, you could've found(by searching) that NONE of the firmwares released/modded as of yet have MyFaves. None of the firmwares have come from T-Mobile therefore they lack that feature.

my.tmobile.com doesn't allow me to change my faves, it's lame. It just says "read more" like I don't have the myfaves plan, yet right next to where it shows my plan "My Faves"... crap site.
So I get the benefit of calling tmobile everytime i want to change it... pain in the ass.

You actually can change your Faves through the site. Unless there is something completely different on your browser your you MyTmobile. I used the website to change one of my contacts, the only issue was that the server (i guess thats what it is) had a problem communicating with my phone, with it lacking an appropriate application to communicate with and it would not update my changes on the site or server. I had to call Tmobile and a rep did some stuff on her end to get it to work. She explained all of that to me, though she didn't know I had a hacked G1 or modded firmware.

Please read / search before posting. This question has been asked and answered before.

facebook panel

has anyone successfully installed facebook panel on their hd2 can you tell me how you did it?

dont ask me, i tried EVERYTHING and get even get the damn panelmanager to start :S :S :S
A: i get an error message
B: it does nothing, doesnt start anything.. nothing..
The most stupid part is, i had it working a couple of months ago!

If you have special chars in your facebook pw (e.g. '&'), trying to activate via the panel-button on the phone won't work. Try to change your current pw on facebook from a pc (use only ordinary letters and numbers, no more than 11 in total), then try access/open facebook with the phone. It worked for me, haveing the same problem
Edit: I had to change my pw on freewarepocketpc.net as well, avoiding using any special chars, to be able to log on to the app OpnMarket via the phone.

Yes, pw=password.
I've answered as if you have a problem setting the facebook switch to 'On' (settings-data services-social networks), i.e. getting the error message and not being able to log onto your facebook acct from the phone.
If you acually meant problems regarding the application 'Facebook panel', my answer can be disregarded. My Leo came with a facebook app (found in Start Menu). I did'nt have to install any such 'facebook panel' as you are refering to.
My ROM is 1.66.409.1 (76641) NOR and Manila 2.5.19211619.0.

O2 SMS Reports on HTC HD2

Hi
As you know o2 doesn't have delivery report as standard. The only way can have SMS delivery reports is by having to type *0# each time you send a sms. Is there a way to have *0# (followed by space) in HTC SMS as default?
Hence everytime you are about to send a text out, its allready there by default, it save you the hassle of typing each time and also have delivery report as normal just like other networks.

To my knowledge there isn't a signature as such you can add.
You can however add it as quicktext (see menu) which would enable this to be inserted in a couple of clicks.

you can add a signiture
all messages => menu => settings => options => menu => signature
all done then enter *0# and it will appear each time + 3 returns.... cannot be perfect

yep this defo does the job for only couple of clicks. will hope someone can be have add on cab file with it included. or an app which installed its over within htc sms.

what rom have you? as its in the 1.72 no idea if its in the age old 1.43.... mine is stock o2 uk rom.

its the uk rom 1.66xx (Non network branded) in other words simfree?

ah maybe its part of sense build 2012 then... I know that the 1.66 roms do not have this in them. Shame as its quite a cool feature.

hmm, strange.... i'm with o2, too, and i receive sms reports by simply checking the option in the messaging clients options menu

i guess yours is o2 - de. o2 - uk they never turned it on!

are you supposed to add the *0# to the body of the message or as a prefix to the number?
also if setting as a signature would i be correct in thinking that the "New" "Reply" "Forward" boxes need checked?

Hi
Yes your suppose to add *0# (# must be followe by space) to the body of the text. Meaning the start of the actual text b4 you actually write your message.
And if signature way yes New, reply, forward needs to be checked too.
Hence everytime you send a message the *0# is allready with in the text msg and you then just write the text as normal. But also receive a delivery report for the text after sent

didnt you see the post above, its the only way, O2 just point blank do not support delivery reports. So its either that hack to do it or nothing, choose a better network [not croweded by most iphones].

Reason was asking was bcz as you know there alot of o2 customers out there and surely loads of them would have lot to see this feature on their htc hd2. Hence thought may be so sum1 may have something sorted now.
Anyways never mind we still got the signature way, its not too bad.

I have my own HD2 on O2. MMS is set by default to give delivery receipt and always does. I find it a waste of time, and have switched it OFF. SMS even if set in Options to give receipt does not.
Using the signature method, receipt only works if I delete the line feeds before the "*0# ". In other words, the * MUST be the first character of the message. But getting a receipt for every message I send would soon drive me batty. I only want occasionally to know someone has had a message, so quicktext is probably best for me, or just remembering the key strokes required.

Thanks for the *0# trick! Much appreciated was wondering why they weren't working. It's now nicely set up as Quick Text from the insert menu.

I also have o2 de, but where the heck do I see the status reports? I've activated the option "Allow delivery report" and "Allow read report" under MMS options. Is this correct or should be there another setting?

[Q] LG E900 Camera Menu Language

Hi there to all the XDA Community.
I´ve upgraded my LG to 7720 Mango, i did the language mod and added my native one, so far so good...
Now, a little thing started to show up...
If i put my native language, the Camera menu doesn´t work...
I found a way to solve this problem, i have the correct "language translated" XML to deploy to windows folder on my device but all the file explorers i came up with had failed, some of them dont even show the folders, others just close immediatly once opened and so on...(my phone is MFG jailbreaked)
so, is there another way to solve this on this proper device?
I only get the menu working if i change to English language, of course, but i got what i need now but no way to do it!
Anyone?

ah, ok. sorry for scolding you. typing all the registry entries from the camerasettingsmanifest file with the MFG tool would be a pain in the neck. I guess one solution is to roll back, use touch explorer and get this into the registry and then come back to 7720. Or wait until somebody releases a new explorer that works on Mango.
