Problem with ActiveSync since patching EXT_ROM to Bigstorage

Hi, since I've updated my ROM to get a BigStorage EXT_ROM, I can't sync anymore. ActiveSync starts and connects, says "looking for changes" and disconnects immediately. Hardresetting my MDAc didn't change anything, clearing old partnership and establishing a new one didn't work also. I can only connect as a "guest". Tried it also with an older image of my Windows XP Home System, but failed. I received an crc error message after updating my ROM with the patched one, but the the MDAc seems to work (except ActiveSync) and the BigStorage is available. Any ideas?

Have a same problem too with ActiveSync4....
Hiding and locking ExRom have no result
ActiveSync v4 return error:
"Critical communications services have failled to start. Try resetting the mobile device, and then connect again."
With a ActiveSync v3.8 all works ok!

Cant connet to Activesync on WM5 with USB

i upgraded my himalaya to wm5 yesterday, but i found dat i couldnt get my wm5 connected to pc after upgrading, the pc doesnt recognize my device, i've tried both activesync 3.7 and 4.0... can any1 help?

I have the same problem:
Upgrading to 1.60c.00WWE
Radio 1.17.00
and i have installed activesync 4.1 (last release from microsoft)...
activesync said he try to connect to my qtek 2020 (worked good before rom upgrade with activesync 3.8).
I also try to start from a good windows XP (and clean) version: i format my pc and reinstalled windows xp on it (sp2) + activesync:
same result (device detected but no sync)
on my qtek activesync (in the bottom on screen) said he is connected but not on my pc...
Any idea will help me good, thx a lot !

I. Try To use the latest Active Sync Program
II. Try to shutdown or Disable any antivirus or Firewall program
IV. try to restart the computer And the Device (Your PPC)

There's something wrong in the OS image. When I connect my Wizard via USB,I have no problems. But Himalaya want not connect. Why? I don't have SP2 in XP(Wizard is working correctly)!

If you are connected to a usb hub, try not using it and connect direct to computer. that sloved all of my sync issues of the phone not being seen.

ROM 1.65b 96Mb Causes my Windows XP Crash

Hi !! I was previously using WM2005 1.60c and ActiveSync 4.1. Everything was ok until I upgraded to WM2005 1.65b. Everytime I try to sync, my Windows XP crashed.
I downgraded to WM2005 1.60c again and everything worked fine. Any idea ?

It happend to me but you must know the name of the file which cause it
when xp crach in the blue screen the name of the file will appear for me it was klick.exe and other time klif.exe after searching the net about this i discovered that kasper sky antivirus did this so there is two ways
first uninstall kaspersky ... not garanteed
second upgrad it

I don't have kaspersky but I have norton. During the bluescreen. It didn't give me any filename. That's the problem.
I tried the latest WM2005 rom. Version 2.0 ...it still failed. I wonder why .

Help with installing PCContacts manager on HP IPAQ

I am pleading with anyone who can help me install the PCContanctsmanager update to Outlook on my HP IPAQ 6965. I have downloaded the zipped file. unzipped it, copied it to my IPAQ and then I cant seem to install it.
I am desperate as i have 2000 contacts to delete on my IPAQ running Windows Mobile 5.0 and Activesync 4.5.
I would appreciate any help at this moment in time.

First of you need to provide the link to what you downloaded so we know what program exactly you are having trouble with.
Second you need to tell us what error you are getting.
Third, if there is no other valuable data on you IPAQ the fastest way to clear ti would be hard reset.

activesync problem

i'm using cotulla's 3.03 WWE rom and since i upgraded my magician, i found that activesync on my magician will always running eventhough i've closed it.
everytime i open my task manager, activesync will be there. anyone know what is the problem / how to solve it? please. thx in advance.
