When I type an email, text message or in Calender it doesn't show up until I have saved/sent the message.
Has anyone else had the problem or can suggest a fix plz?

I Can
Get BSB Tweaks 1.6
run bsb tweaks 1.6
tap menu on the bottom right corner
tap rotation
tap options on the bottom right corner
tap rotation status
make sure disabled is checked
sorted
ya you can use bsb tweaks but everything wont be disabled!
for example opera would still rotate, you need to disable it from registry! and if i remember right manila music and manila photos would also rotate!
regards

Hmm... Thanks.. So there is no way to 100% disable it?
I want to disable rotation, BSB Tweaks 1.6 option doesn't work for me (it enables itself after te required softboot)
Anyone knows how to disable rotation for the messaging app via registry?
EDIT: I want every rotation off, but I'd settle for the messaging app.

if you want disable all rotation, you must set autorotation to 0.
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor
AutoRotation set 0
if you just want disable rotation for the messaging ,you must delete two registry....
HKCU\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSENSOR\MODULENAME
MESSAGECLIENT
HKCU\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSENSOR\WHITELIST
MESSAGECLIENT
Much appreciated =)
Setting Auto Rotate to 0 still rotates the messaging app, so only by deleting the messaging strings can you get rid of the pesky rotation...
Only have 1 arm, it's not like I could use the rotation feature in anything at all, much less when tipping an sms.
Get BsB Tweaks, go to Menu/Rotation and select Opera from the list. Then go to Options ans Remove Selected Apps. In Opera you will not have auto rotation anymore. You can do this for all other apps in the list aswell. When you want to add an app in which you want auto rotation you go to Options/Add application.

on my Leo I use "changescreen v.2.78" app. It give a lot of possibilities:quick switch on/off each of 4 positions, make exceptions...
I know the TB wasnt meant to be displayed landscape in the home screen.. so.. with that being said when I get Handcent sms popups I cant reply in landscape keyboard when I rotate the phone.
Has anyone figured out the quick reply for popup in landscape mode?

I think that only happens when the phone was locked. If you keep the screen active and get a pop-up, that one will landscape.
Would definitely be nice if it would just autorotate every time i flipped the phone.. hmm
Root and update to a rom with landscape Rosie. Handcent will rotate into landscape on the home screen, then. If you don't want to root, switch to another launcher like Launcher Pro that has landscape support.
Works for me any way I try it. Phone locked with screen off, phone locked with screen on, at the home screen, etc. All methods work over here. If it helps, I'm using the Gingerbread keyboard.
Under notification settings/popup settings there is an "auto-rotate" option. Check if that works for you.

Anyone know of a way to get the Dialer/Contacts App to go into landscape mode. I use my Nexus S 4G in my car dock in ladscape mode frequently, and it's a PITA to dial sideways while driving.

Go to your contacts, then press menu, settings. Go to the bottom and you should see Enable sensor rotation in the misc section.

Thanks, but there is no "Settings" menu within the Contacts app on the Nexus S 4G. Maybe on the Nexus S though.

You need to press the menu button on your Nexus S first. Also valid in the dialer screen.
Sorry it's not settings however, but preferences.

Nope, it's not there. Looks like they left some code out of the 4G model.
system setting --> display --> auto-rotate
for your own and other driver/people's safety , please do not use phone while you are driving

Thanks, but Auto-rotate has already been enabled in display settings, and it does not work in the dialer and contact apps. I've tried every ROM for the NS4G (except for CM7) and there seems to be no way to get the dialer into Landscape.
well... unfortunately there is nothing i can do about it ... wish you luck to find what you looking for
C.m. will do it on the dialer press menu

I have flashed CM 11 on my Xoom Everest. Unfortunately, lockscreen always in Landscape mode, couldn't be set to Potrait. I've tried search in Setting but there's none. Anyone please tell me how to fix this problem?
Thanks.

Whether I check or not the Auto-rotate in Accessibility under Setting, it doesn't impact on lockscreen mode, always Landscape. Anything else I can do?

Liking the phone so far, except gesture typing with the android keyboard will not work. I have enabled this in the android keyboard settings, and even tried restarting the phone, with no success. Is this a known issue? Anyone having the same problem?

I have no issue with the app. What is you problem? Is it that when you go to type the regular keyboard is showing? If so hit the globe icon next to the space bar. That will either auto switch to Google Handwriting Input or give you a menu to with the option to choose Google Handwriting Input. If that isn't your problem then please tell us what specific issue you're having.

Sorry, I was not too specific. In the messaging app, or search widget, or any time when the android keyboard pops up, I am unable to use swipe to input text, that is, inputting a word by sliding through the letters. This is in spite of gesture typing being enabled in android keyboard settings. Settings/Language and Input/Android Keyboard/Gesture Typing
Thanks

Oh OK. Yeah it's a known issue. Install the Google Keyboard from the play store. That one works fine.
