I don't want three browser.
Opera, Opera mini and IE.
And searching xda-forums I didn't find any solution uninstalling opera, that on cruise is provided with the phone.
Becouse Opera doesn't appear on the uninstall application list, how can I do a clean work removing opera browser from cruise?
Or better, there's a way to uninstall IE?
Thanks in advance
bump .
The opera browser's exe file is in the windows folder... i don't know if you can delete it or not.
If you just don't want to see it, remove the Opera.lnk file in the Windows/startmenu/programs folder.
Does anyone know where I can find the bookmarks for "Opera Mini" and "Opera Mobile" and back them up to my Mini SD card on my HTC Touch [T-Mobile UK] as I may need to send it in for repair...

Click to collapse
I never knew you could copy bookmarks from Opera desktop into Opera Mobile...
Basically, something happened bad to my phone yesterday and I need to send it off for repair and the "Dashwire" app doesn't back up Opera Mini or Opera Mobile bookmarks, only PIE bookmarks!
and as i said then by overwriting the .adr file in \application data\opera
with my desktop .adr file i got my desktop bookmarks on opera mobile
the logic conclusion would seem that if you copy the adr file from \application data\opera
you got a backup of your bookmarks
An more forward thinking solution for mini would be to backup your entire java configuration
\windows\appdb\
Click to collapse
I think this holds true for most flavors of java, but for sure with JBED
But you can also sync your bookmarks and speed dial settings with myopera (signup for an account and perform sync from opera mini).
Good luck!
I'll try copying the .adr file as well as backing up the entire Java configuration to see if that works as it would be a pain in the butt if I lost all my bookmarks in Opera Mini because the so-called Opera Link option doesn't work properly!
alternately you could use opera sync to back up the bookmarks to their server. unless you aren't using mini 4.0 =)
I've tried using Opera Link with Opera Mini but for some reason it doesn't seem to work with Opera Desktop... My version of Opera Mini is definitely the latest version.

Hey,
even though Opera is configured to be my default browser, there are still some shortcuts that are opened only via IE and not Opera. For example shortcuts from outlook e-mails and I-nigma.
Is there any way to change that?
Thanks.
try settings up file associations for known HTML formats using Advanced Config 3.3`
no clickable links in gmail in opera or explorer on att fuze.
how to change this.
opera viewable gmail only works inbasic https also
thank you
I tried a custom config I found here, for Opera. it didn't work.
I am having trouble manually restoring my OPERA6.ADR Bookmarks file on my Opera 9.5 browser build 17658 on my WinMo 6.5 AT&T Pure device.
When I copy over my OPERA6.ADR file stored at \\Windows\Opera9\Opera6.adr and then open up Opera for the first time since the last soft reset, the new bookmarks show up fine. However, if I ever ran Opera before I copy over the file since the soft reset, the bookmarks shown in Opera are always what was loaded before and it will overwrite the opera6.adr file with the previous bookmarks. This occurs even if the Opera process was closed. The HTC TouchFlo Bookmarks option in the Internet tab will show the new links immediately, but as soon as I go into Opera and the file is overwritten, it then shows the old links.
It seems once Opera runs once it caches its bookmarks and ignores any outside writes to the Opera6.ADR file. I noticed Opera seems to load up quick on the second attempt even if the process is closed. I'm thinking the initialization of Opera is cached up after its first load which may be a part of my problem.
Is it possible to reset Opera be it through a programming API or some file deletion(s) to get Opera to read the Opera6.ADR file? Would a registry setting be involved to get this loaded properly? I hate to have to soft reset my device just to do this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
