How to customize the open keyboard sound - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi all,
this is my first post, please be patient
I see that i can set the device to play a sound when the keyboard is open and closed, the list of the availables sound is short.
The question is how can i add a sound (from an mp3) to the list ?
I found on the net the star trek communicator opening sound and it will cool to have it on the touch pro

Hmm...i didn't even notice that you can play sounds when the kb opens until i read your post
but yeah, that would be cool

in the kaiser section i found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336601&highlight=slide+sounds
and if you search for slide sounds in that forum you'll see more nice sounds

Thank you very much, i will made some tests to see if the touch pro works like the kaiser.

I am using the transformers sound from the Kaiser thread and I can confirm that it does work.
Add the .wav files to the /windows/ directory and make the registry edits. Works great.

Requests to Laurentius26/Beast...

Hi,
I'm currently using your latest rom, and its great in terms of stability and overall features it contains. I had a small request which i thought i'd post, and decided to make a separate thread so that ppl can drop all their requests too, so here goes!
And now for my request -
It would be great if you could add PQz II into the default rom. Its a small app to enable control/alt key combos with a lot of other features for phone shortcuts, button shortcuts etc. Its freeware too! You can find it at www.nicque.com/pqz
if you could make the following customizations so that pqz starts this way by default, thats an added bonus -
1. Has the path to the "icon" bitmap (by default, its just a white blotch until you specify an icon in the default installation. the icon comes within the package though)
2. Set default keys to the SYM key for control and alt.
3. Make PQz start at windows bootup by default by adding a link in the registry
Cheers and I appreciate the great work!

Hi,
Which keys do you set for ctrl and alt, cause they aren't on keyboard?
Fn + Tab maybe?
Also how to set a icon for the today I don't know?
Can the icon in upper tray moved to bottum tray?
2 many questions haha...

He he, nice questions.
I tried the app but quited after some minutes because I couldn't find a way to get it working, lol
Nevertheless if working, it could be a good improvement.

with all do respect, PQz suck.
it really messes up the keyboard control for other programs, such as games for example...
if you really need it, install it. it only takes a couple of seconds and a couple of lousy KBs, if i remember correctly.
Rom devs can't include apps everytime users have a spacial request. That's what kitchens are for...

Normally, we set the "SYM" key for both Control & alt. This way, you press sym once, its control (shows on the icon, once set!), press it again it becomes alt. Its soooooo useful, i cant tell you.....you must try it!
i use it extensively, to do control+c, cntrl+v, blah!
The icon should be on top, so that it shows what you've pressed (control or alt).
The cooler part is the other sub-modules it has such as phone shortcuts, app shortcuts, system shortcuts etc. For example, i can set shortcuts such as alt+Alphabet for speed dials for all my contacts. No matter what application you're currently using, just hit Alt+S to dial a contact for instance, or even fire an application!
I also use, Alt+X to close current app, alt+0 to close all apps....really useful!
Try it out for a while, you cant live without it!
Cheers!

Can you add these files to Windows\ directory?
If you could add these to \Windows directory, it would be great! It changes the basic "Open/select file" dialog to browse through folders in a standard windows way rather than scanning through all folders and showing it as one single list!
It overrides this dialog at all places. For instance, when you try and add an attachment to your email, it shows standard folders for you to navigate and pick the right file, rather than making one giant list of all files on all folders!

EDIT: There's a small bug in wm6, the softkey labels are not shown though (not a big deal as long as you know what they are!) . The left softkey is "Up" one folder, and right softkey is for "Menu" when the open file dialog is active. Make sure you activate it under Settings->System->FileDialog and check the option in there!

Hi San,
I will have another look and tell you what I think of it later.
Greetings,
Leo
how about the ability to call the last dialled number? can that be added? and maybe not including the latest task manager 2.0 as that has problems with the closing of apps.... maybe the earlier version 1.5?
PQZ
Well... I tested a bit.
But it does screw up other functionings.
Also the today icon I don't like, I only see a white square in top bar
Did you try HandyMenu or AEButton, they have same function's but much easier. For copy\paste I use Pnotepad.
Sorry...
Regards,
Leo

The WiFi problems are fixed now!
Can you pleeeease solve the Bluetooth Stereo problems ASAP.
I think I already flash my Universal with all existing ROMs, but I believe none as A2DP and WiFi WPA fully working.
can i suggest to try rlToday? It's a very nice Home/today plugin. Working with VGA and completely skinnable.

I was hoping to free up some space & just have the sounds that I want. can some one please help me out.

How to add a media controller to WM 6.5 lockscreen?

Hello,
is there a way to control my music(Windows Media Player) without unlocking my device? For example when i open WMP and lock my device, when i want to change song, an icon appears(like the SMS or missed call unlockers) and when i slide that, play pause forward etc. appears. I want something like that. i hope somebody can do that
thanks in advance
(ps: my english is not so good, maybe i did some mistakes, sorry for them.)
Would really like this too.

Solution for 'keyboard' haters?

Hey guys,
I was looking for a way to get click sounds when typing, because this really helps me typing on a virtual keyboard.
Going to sound and notifications, and turning on the click sound was nice but I want it only in the keyboard.
Then I found this: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487677
I have been using it for a good 30 minutes and think it is pretty good. I have to get used to it, but it seems like I make very little mistakes. And if I make a mistake, it is because I really press the wrong letter.
There are a lot of options like the sound it makes, how hard it vibrates, different themes, etc etc.
Be sure to download version 2.1 (link at the top of that thread) and share your experience here! If you find any good settings to make it work even better on the HD2 please also share!
Kind Regards, Mark
(PS: I have not searched if there is a thread on this or not, but since this keyboard was made in April 2009,I asumed not many HD2 owners know about this. Also, maybe this could be a "post your keyboards" thread. Btw, I typed this from my HD2, with this new keyboard
or go to Manila settings tab, Local and text, Text Input and turn on typing sound

Sound pager grey's anatomy

Hi,
Does anyone know where can I find the pager's ringtone that we can hear in grey's anatomy (season 9) ?
I managed to find an extract directly recorded from the movie (see attachment)
But the real ringtone is repeated twice and of course there is no background noise
thanks
Here's one I found online.. Maybe, I don't know if its close enough. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z27xb32bldfezbo/Alert_ Grey's Pager.mp3
Sent from my Nexus 5
Thanks for your reply.
it's not so bad but sounds a little bit "robotic"
the original sounds more "smooth"
But thanks a lot for your search
