I have an 02 XDA Orbit 2 and I installed on it HTC Home plugin.
Now, I wanted to change to SPB Mobile shell but when I tried to uninstall HTC Home plugin it could not uninstall it. Infact when i did a soft reset the HTC Home plugin was still there.
If I do a hard reset will this be removed and will CO Pilot be reinstalled since it was there when I first got it but now I uninstalled it since I could not get a proper street on the map I had installed.
Another question is whether I can run SPB Mobile shell when the phone starts up since I need to click on the small icon on the bottom right hand side to launch it.
You can remove HTC today plugin from the today screen and leave it installed. Mobile shell will work like this with no problem. This is how I run mine.
There is a program called SPB Watcher that makes it so that whenever the today screen wants to show it calls up Mobile shell. I found it through the SPB website. But I believe it is somewhere on these forums.

Hi, just go to setting in your spb, click on mobile spb shell, then tick the box that says 'show the now screen when device wakes up'.

I do not think that will have any effect since it mine was ticked. I still have the click on the small incon on the right hand side.
But anyway, I will try to find that software SPB Watcher.

Hey guys
New to TouchFlo - got it installed yesterday.
Having an issue though.
When I open it, by clicking the taskbar button, or in Start, it opens up.
When i want to go back to Today screen, I swipe up on it to toss it away, or even if i hold the right taskbar button to close it, it goes away.
If i try to access it again, nothing happens. screen stays on Today, but is not functional unless i press the END key, as if an invisible FLO is over the screen
Whats up here?

I had the iphone phonepad and stuff installed, but i couldnt figure out how to switch back to the Today screen without clicking SETTINGS, and still having iphone running. it was slow and laggy. any way around this?

I had same issue, only solution for me, was to stop using TouchFlo
Touchflo will only pull itself up the first time period...
Afterwards when you push the button to access it, it will appear nothing will happen... however if you swipe your finger as if you were turning the cube, it will infact go to the next page..... try it out

The various versions of touchflo on wizard require you to press a button before getting touch to work. Depending on the ROM, this could be button 4 or left softkey.
HTC Tocuh has a video of Touch phone on their website. I see that even here, a button is pressed every time the touch features are accessed. This may be a feature of touch itself, rather than a bug in the way touchflo works on wizard.

you can buy a touch.

the touchFLO is hack for work on wizard....so is very hard to have this work perfect.
if you realy need the cube working 100% buy a touch
I have finally found the perfect configuration for the HTC Kaiser/TyTn II/AT&T Tilt Offical WM 6.1 Rom . First, Install htc Home Customizer, then from there install the HTC Album and REMOVE the music and weather tabs, then, install SPB Mobile Shell (be sure to disable the today plugin), next Install SPB Pocket plus BUT, while installing do not install the Home plugin (to make sure that htc home dosnt' get unlocked, this can cause problems when placing the phone in lanscape mode where the scroll bar that appears over the right hand side of the HTC Home Plugin causes it to cut off that portion when turning it back into Portrait.) Next install Microsoft .Net Compact Framework and Shapps Advanced Config, lastly configure your today screen to display ONLY the weather tab from SPB Mobile Shell, configure your city/state, and voila!! you have the perfect setup for an At&t Tilt

I have SPB Mobile shell installed so that it is on my today screen. when you go to the Today Settings screen, the top item is Date then below that I have Spb Mobile Shell, below that HTC Home. When you click on any of these the Move Up/Move Down options are greyed out. Is there any way to enable these? Reason being, is that I have AlDate installed and would like to have it top of the list. As soon as I try to move it above HTC Home the Move Up option becomes greyed out.
found the answer, if anyone else needs to know:
Change the value of HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\HTC Home\Type from 5 to 4, then move the plugin as usual.

ok so i had to reset the phone and now the M2D wont launch
so when i turn on the phone it is way slow in starting and the M2D wont launch it doesnt say launching and never does what shows is Tap here to launch M2D but when i tap it doesnt move at all and it doesnt acknowledge that i taped the screen.
so i went to M2DC and reinstalled the M2D and the same thing so im beginning to wonder what the problem is. is it that i need to replace the XML file in the windows folder?
is M2D not under the start up folder? so its not starting? what is the program that should be listed to run?
I want to try to resolve this before i hard reset and start all over.
Did you go to settings>personal>today>items> and check Touch Flo ?
yes that is the only way M2D will run is if that item is checked right? well earlier i unchecked it and put the regular HTC one it changed. then unchecked that one and checked Touchflo and no go so thats not it.
Funny thing is it shows the Tap here to Launch but when i tap it nothing happens. i know the screen works cause when i go to settings and click on the icons the tapping works.
if i remember correctly it would show that then launch by itself thats why im asking on the files that need to be in the start up folder. maybe something happen that its not launching anymore
hey guys, have a problem here. whenever i open standard wm message, the keyboard button in the middle is missing. i can only get it back after i do a soft reset but this only last awhile. when i close the sms prog and open it again, its gone.
using spb mobile shell here. hope someone can help
