I've had my XDA Orbit 2 for a few months now and all of the sudden the reminder/notification from appointments put in the calendar recently stopped working. However, appointments I put in months ago that have reminder still works. Alarm is still working.
I've had a few third party stuff installed (iContacts, S2U2, SPb Pocket Plus, Opera Mini, Opera 9) but I have uninstalled all of them now, and still can't fix the problem. I have set/unreset/set the settings in the Sound/Notification but that did not do anything either. I have Spb Time installed but I know for sure that my reminder worked then (it was my first third party software).
I'm useless at remembering things and rely so much on this reminder feature.. so please help somebody...

Hi everyone
i am using an XDA2 that has been upgraded to WM2003SE. However, the programs seem to clash. Especially SPB Pocket Plus and intellipad. Anyone has a solution to this? Upgrading to Pocket Plus 2.5 didn't help a bit.

Thats unusual. Ive been running wm03se for 2 weeks now w/ PocketPlus 2.0 and Intellipad v.1 build 17286 and they all run harmoniously. They even co-exist w/ Darek's nifty today plugin. What ROM version are you using?
My ROM version are the same as yours
everytime i select intelipad when replying text msgs, it goes to the default Block recognizer.
Also, my msgs are auto erased everytime i switched from "Deleted Items" to "Inbox" and I can't view any msgs in "Deleted Items", "Sent Items" and "Drafts"
any one can enlighten me?

You need to exclude the tmail.exe on close feature, this will fix the issue.
pardon me, where and how to fix it.
tap and hold the right upper part/ options/ close button/ feature options/ exceptions/ add/ browse/ windows/ select tmail.exe

Nice one, but still that does not fix the original problem mentioned on the top of this thread...
Pocket Plus and Intellipad (Phonepad) incompatibility...
I would say that it's a resource conflict of some kind, because they sometimes can work together but sometimes they simply won't cooperate....
Or is it something similar than with the SMS thing? Perhaps Pocket Plus is shutting down the Intellipad resouces and thus causing this problem?
Is there a way to exclude Intellipad from Pocket Plus?
Just an idea....

It appears that Microsoft Voice Command 1.5 is the one causing problems with Intellipad (Phonepad).
I have almost a week since I disabled VC and I have not had any problems with Intellipad ever since.
If I'm on the road and need Voice Command I just press the hardware button assigned to VC and after a few seconds it's loaded back and ready to rumble.

I'm having conflicts with spb pocket plus and wm2003 se. My XDA 2 locks up quite often when I use the two together. As soon as I unload spb pocket plus things clear up so clearly there is an issue there.

A couple of days ago I realized that my Qtek 9100 no longer processed my reminders. My phone don't any longer play a sound and pop up a window at the time/date a reminder is due.
I checked the settings and everything is set correctly. Then I reset the Qtek and it still didn't go back to work normally. The last step was to switch it off, remove the battery and switch it on again. That did the trick, everything went back to normal, however only for a time. Next day same situation, reminders do not process. Again switch off, etc., and again it returned to working normally and again until some time....
I don't know if and what program I might have installed, and I surely don't know what causes this malfunction nor how to get rid of it.
Anyone out there who could give me a hand on solving this problem?

May users have notification problems (in WM5 and WM6 devices). Search forum and you'll find FAQ about NQ and reminders problem.
My experiences: since I use pmClean (free) and SKTools (commercial) everyday my notifications and reminders work without any bugs for more then 2 months. Both applications have scheduling then you don't have to run them manually.
I don't synchronize my Artemis with Outlook on PC, maybe it's useful too.

PS. You could try Check Notifications, but for check only (suspicious notifications are in red color), don't use it's clean feature or you could have NQ cleaned too much

Thanks for you help. I installed the pmClean and the notifications came back after cleaning. However the next day again they were blocked again. May I ask you how you configured your pmClean? Do you run it automatically? If so, one or more days per week? Do you let it execute a soft reset after cleaning?

Actually I use 2 programs now - pmClean runs one a day (auto, with no reset) and SKTools - once a day too.
Hi.... I installed pmClean and even purchased SKTools.... but every day I realize that the reminders don't work. I have the pmClean programmed to run every day at 06:00... doesn't help. The reminders seem to works however always after I did a reset. However it looks that inbetween the next day something happens and the reminders again won't work. Any idea on what I could do? Is there anymore server reset like uninstalling all programs but mobile 5 itself and re-install everything?

Try not to synchronize with PC and see it it'll help. You may also use WakeUp Tweak to make every night cleanup longer.
I know WM5 and WM6 bugs in NQ are very annoying and MS ignores our prayers for years... I always think about new Android from Google when it happens to me

guess I finally figured out what caused the problem. It's not the Qtek 9100 but the ActiveSync application. I suspected this yesterday after reading some comments. So I decided to not connect my phone to my note which always triggered the ActiveSync to load. And since my last cleanup and soft reset yesterday all reminders worked. The WM5 sync at midnight didn't do any harm. Now the question is how can I fix ActiveSync? At least I'd like to be able to install programs on my Qtek which always comes with a sync. Any idea? Or do I simply have to always run pmClean followed by a soft reset after having my Qtek being connected?

You still can install programs without Activesync partnership (your device is seen as Guest).

Please help me with my problem: I had the alarm set at 6 am in the morning and it worked well. A few days ago I set it at 7 am... just one alarm. Now, even if the alarm is set to 7 am, the alarm starts at 6 am and at 7 am. What can I do do delete the old alarm ? When the alarms starts I see 2 remainders. From where can I delete those reminders ?

I had the same problem after the clocks went forward last weekend. i put it down to a custom rom i was using but i couldn't find a solution so ended up hard reseting my device.
I have the Original WWE ROM (English) and nothing like this came up...
Using the original ROM that came with the device. If I stay and think well this sitution is from the last hour change... Hmmm, could this be a bug in WM ? I don't want to make a hard reset...
I find that whenever I sync my WM device to my PC, I get duplicate reminders/alarms.
Use a tool like MemMaid or the freeware AlarmFixWM to clean up your notifications queue. That should do the trick; it always works for me (until I sync again).
This is a stupid, very old Windows Mobile bug that hasn't been fixed across several new versions of the OS.

thank you from the bottom of my heart. Installed AlarmFixWM and found 58 prblems. Soft reseted the PDA. I guess tommorrow morning I'll see the result. Is there some other software wich I could use for alarms ?
SPB time 2.2.2 is working great for me
I had the same stupid problem with the alarms. AlarmfixWM wouldn't install on my PC. SKTools Lite did the trick for me.
dear friends, i have had this problem previously on other winmobile devices and now on the THD. simply & suddenly i stop getting reminders for my calendar appointments, even though they still do appear on my today screen( i use the windows mobile standard today screen). no change in my notification or sounds settings, and despite a softreset. on my old phone imate ultimate 6150, this problem used to disappear after syncing with outlook on my pc, and this time it worked too. but honestly it's beyond me why this happens. yes the problem has been solved, but until one realises what has happened u could miss out on an important appointment. thanks

My O2 XDA Ignito (HTC Touch Diamond in a different housing) has worked perfectly with iFonz for many months. I'm on version 1.1.2. I am very, very happy with iFonz and would not want to go back to TouchFlo which is nowhere near as good.
Yesterday, iFonz suddenly started operating extremely slowly. I thought I had crashed, but in fact it responds to commands but takes anything from 15 seconds to over a minute to do so. Until then, it has been virtually instantaneous.
The first command I issue after it's been left for some time will work as normal, but if I open (say) the PI Calendar, then close that - the nothing else will work for about 15 seconds after the keypress.
The only change I know about is that I had a problem with ActiveSynch to a new desktop installation (the familiar 0x86000107 problem) which I fixed in the usual way by deleting and reinstalling the pairing. Activesync worked fine after that.
I have S2U2 running - but that's always been there.
I noticed from the time I first installed iFonz that it would not update its header bar for several seconds after starting, but everything else worked OK.
Can anyone suggest a cause or a fix? I'm reluctant to uninstall and reinstall because I've set up 4 pages of icons and don't want to lose all that work.
I never used iFonz but i'm pretty sure the settings are kept somewhere so you can export them and not have to set everything up from the beginning. I always suggest uninstalling to check what causes the problem.

I've PMed the author, and meanwhile I've taken iFonz off the startup list and running Touchflo instead. I don't like it anything like as much as iFonz, but it works.
Well, there's been no reply from the author, and everything I've tried (including uninstall and reinstall) has made no difference. Sad, because I liked iFonz.

I don't understand what you mean by: "pairing"
"Pairing" is setting up the ActiveSync connection between the PDA/phone and the PC so that they will synchronise when you connect them.
If you get the error, you have a problem. I fixed mine for a few months, but then the problem came back worse, and the fixes that used to work stopped. Basically, I don't think ActiveSync is capable of doing the job reliably. It deleted all my contacts (losing me a load of names and addresses that I needed and couldn't recover). I threw it out some time ago.
I now use an iPhone which doesn't have any of those problems.
