Thanks 4 sharing, but I want to try the new version.

Nobody?
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee share this version!

EDIT: if you need the .CAB, please look at post #19!

even the program it self is piracy according to TomTom.. I bought traffic and speed cameras to my Kaiser and wanted to transfer that to this phone too which I could do except callign TomTom and fax a copy of the recipe on the phone with TomTom installed on.. which I couldn't since it aint pre-installed on the Raphael.
So yeah it's piracy, even without the maps.

Hiya.. Can I ask some info..
I have tomtom 6.032 installed on my TP and TT traffic. If I install this cab, will TT still work ?
What is the advantage of this cab and not using the v 7 maps?
Thanks for any heads up

works fine for me with version 7 maps...

How does it compare to version 6?
Can I use my version 6 key code?

Maybe a silly question, but how do you install this version. It has no cab. Do you just over write the existing files?

in most of the time it will say that you have to uninstal ttn6, v6 maps will probably work but why use it? v7.25 maps are the latest

I want a gps program so bad but I'm not going to steal it. Just when is Tomtom7 finally going to be for sale anyway.

TomTom 7.451 CAB
I made this cab just now because a lot of people are searching for it and can't find it.
Note:This is only the program!
http://rapidshare.com/files/147852478/TomTomNavigator_7.451.9033.cab.html
This will work on the Diamond & Touch Pro (don't know for other devices)
Tis CAB does notcontain voices, maps/kegenerator
(please don't ask me for it! cause i will not respond!)
@ moderators: If you think this CAB is illegal please edit/remove this post!

mwilmar,
When you rebuilt my .cab for Himalaya, you included one of my ealier test cabs for Sprint. So everyone installing this cab is also installing an earlier Sprint .cab.
It is called RevisedSmarDialingWM5(Sprint)noHTCSkins.cab and is being installed in your windows directory. You don't need or want this, you can delete it out of windows, as it is 420K in size.
You are also installing CDMA specific system event messages and icons. Maybe I should repost with an HTC generic set. Anyone willing to test?
-Paul
PH,
That's what we're here for... post it and I'll give it a spin.
Regards - Mallow1
You also used an earlier test version as the port. You are missing all of the Smartdialing registry keys.
Here is an updated version that should work on Himalaya with all CDMA stuff removed, registry keys added, etc.
Someone should remove the previous version and reinstall this one and let us know if it worked.
-Paul
Paul,
Downloaded yours but the prior cab hasn't fully uninstalled. Pause one while I get rid of the old one properly before I try to install yours.
Cheers - Mallow1
Any word from those who downloaded? Is it working correctly?
Still struggling to get rid of the old one and I don't want to install yours until I'm clean so that we know whether glitches are due to yours or Mwilmar's variant. Kean to hear from others who were clean to begin with!
Regards - Mallow1
Right, I tried the simple uninstall (Remove Program) and that didn't work so I've now deleted smartdiailing from \windows and removed any smartdial registry entries. Soft rest and tried to load yours but is it failing to install. I think more because of the prior installation than anything to do with your cab. Anymore I need to delete or any other ideas?
Regards - Mallow1
PS having removed smartdailing from Mwilmar's installation you mentioned a cab c 400k which would have loaded at the same time. what files do I need to delete to free that space up as I cannot locate "RevisedSmarDialingWM5(Sprint)noHTCSkins" or similar.

Greetings,
had the same problem with installing TomTom 7 on WM 6.5.
My solution was installing it on my storage card
no problems anymore *g*
hope this will help you
I also had the same problem. I closed the installation window, uninstalled TomTom, and then reinstalled (to the SD card) and everything went OK.
Nice to know I'm not alone. Lol. Will try installing to the storage card tonight.
Thanks for the replies so far.

Tomtom doesn't give any Resolution errors, so it should work for any resolution, but the Tomtom Version Tomtom 7.910
Tomtom 7.910 needs v 8.XXX maps, but you should be careful some map versions are only for PNAs ... You you should download the maps compatible with PDA or PDA&PNA
Tomtom is the best for Europe, but I do not like its simplicity, I like iGO 8.3.X Maps are updated monthly
Tomtom can not identify your device's com ports as well, for example, it may find your internal gps as a bluetooth gps, or viceversa.. So you should search for any kind of gps device in settings of tomtom in case if it does not recognize automatically

QVGA TT doesnt work on VGA or WVGA.
Maps are update continualy via map share.
TT identify COM ports without problems on all HTC devices or zou can set port manually.

I shared QVGA version of 7.910 on one web site, but before sharing I tried it on Htc HD, Htc Diamond, Htc Diamond 2, Htc TyTN II. So these resolutions are, QVGA, VGA, WVGA.
TT sometimes identify your Internal GPS as a bluetooth GPS, I say this information if some can not find their internal GPS, aim is to help to solve issues not to say bad things about TT.
If you have licensed version you may find correct maps, but ones that do not have should be careful to download maps that are compatible with PDA.
Regards.
Anyone has the same problem?
I've tried TT 7.910, 7.915 and 7.916, but all have a refresh lag.. So normally the screen (your position) is updated every second, but at my HD2 it updates in 5 or 7 seconds!
I've tried the internal GPS as wel the COM4 and 9600 baud GPS...
Google Maps works perfect (as far as I can see).
Don't know what to do about it.
Anyone?
Xmoo, The TomTom application works indeed but as soon as it starts it says it can't find any maps and then tries to make an internet connection in order to download maps at www.htc-citymaps but it then results in an error as the webpage doesn't exist.
How do you get TomTom to work with the maps and speech ?
Note: the installation CAB was 9 MB's hardly enough to conatin a full working navigation tool so it's clear that i'm missing data.
TT Maps n voices
black vga cab is 13.3MB - no voices, no maps no htc-citymaps - no joy....
Any help...anyone?

An other issue could be that the maps you are using are not compatible with your tomtom version..
Thanks for all the advice people.
I have managed to get it working, i had to create a 'CurrentMap.dat' file and place it in '\My Documents\TomTom'. This tells tomtom which map to look for.

With WM 6.5 you don't need the TomTom Audio Fix anymore
All 7 versions of TomTom wil work with the HTC TD2.
I have had 7.450, 7.915, 7.916 and many different builds.
Now I have v7.916 Build 9192.
There is a new version of TT
TomTom Navigator 7.918.9193
can anyone please let me know what settings you use for Tomtom 7?
For example, do you select the "internal gps" or "other enmea"? If you select the "Other .." then what "COM" and "Baud Rate" do you use?
I have wm6.5 and tomtom 7.45.
Thanks
It depends what you are using
What is your device?
Do you use an external GPS device?
I use what is in my signature en because i use GPSModdriver i take
other nmea - 9600 baud - GPSModdriver

If you select "Other", choose COM4, baud rate can be 4800 or more, 19200 may be a good choice. Note that some versions of Tomtom 7 do not show properly the list of received satellites, both with "internal Gps" or "Other..."
One most recent version of Tomtom solves this problem and also solves the audio cutoff issue (for WM6.1 users).

i was wondering is there any particular set up required for it to work?
No i have the TD2 also and in the beginning i used internal GPS and it worked great accept for the lag.
Go to settings from windows and go to external GPS

in Hardware my settings says None and 4800
in the third tab(toegang in dutch) chek the box

New TomTom tt7.918.9193 for HD2

New tomtom released which is supposed to support the HD2 including using tomtom home. Version is tt7.918.9193
Link Here
As you still need to buy the maps I have provided the link to the application as it is uselss without them.
Found this on my travels and seems to work ok.
UPDATE:
I have taken the original zip from tomtom and removed the unpatched tomtom navigator.exe and data.chk and replaced them with the ones in the previous link. This is a cab file so should be easier to install.
I have not tested this so feed back appreciated but as always ensure you have a full backup. there are no BT files in this also. This is only for the HD2.

For people still having issues with tomtom home NOT working, see post #33 below.
Thanks Zomig. Right here I go off to buy TT Maps....

maybe it's better to mirror it outside rapidshare (it sucks)

It's 2 files you need to replace, so you begin with installing a version containing the BT files.
it's always the same with these releases, they usually just fix issues with not working with certain devices. Also i believe this is a wvga version although I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.
Just a quick query & probably a dumb one so apologies in advance. I have a 2 year old TomTom 1 V1 on which the screen has just died. Am I able in any way to use the maps on the SD card with with the linked to program on my HD2? Will probably just activate co pilot to be honest but wondered if this was possible as the software is leagal just old. Thanks up front for any help

You will need to get the maps reactivated through Tomtom as these will be tied to your v1 device. Also they may not work due to differences with PNA and PDA Type maps. Check with tomtom if in doubt.
I really hate rapidshare. It never works.
If you can, can you please post the file somewhere else.
Regards

Nope! In the HD2 if you install T*T* "as is" you'll screw-up your BT functions, plus endless BT error messages, etc., it's all over the GPS forums.
In other releases people removed the BT files from the .cab, so your worries are over (as far as interference among different BT stacks)
I wouldn't dare to start all over again if the BT files are NOT removed from this cab.
Can anyone confirm?
Regards.

If you downloaded the file you will see that it is just 2 files which just need to be copied over to your device. There is NO bt files in this rar file.
If you want the cab install I will post it when I get it.
I tried it and doesnt work woth TT Home...
