any experience on our Tornado with the several SHDC drivers posted by other users?
Can our smartphone, with either WM6 or WM6.1, use MicroSDHC of 4Gb (or more)?

No all the mentioned drivers did not work.
But you can use a NON-SDHC card instead. I'm using a 4GB noname-card which works flawlessly. I don't know if more than 4GB ist possible.

Hi, new to this forum so please be gentle! As my user name suggests I have a MDA-Compact II and have bought an 8GB SD-HC card. It works great in PC with adapter supplied, but is not recoginsed by my PDA phone. Is there a software patch/upgrade out there that will fix this? My existing 4GB SD card works fine, but it is not the HC version. If there is no upgrade, I guess I've just wasted £50! Thanks. Graham.
sdhc cards need sdhc support in hardware
Nothing I know of exists for this device or any other smartphone at the moment.

Well, not sure if the Treo 680 does not qualify as a smartphone. They can do SDHC and one can copy the driver from a 680 to a 650 and it will work there too. It is a shame that the 750 does not have it...

Are you sure ? Last time I read discussions about 4GB miniSD in Wizard, bottomline was that card has to be NON - SDHC in order to be recognized.
I heard that from some China guys...
However OMAP850_SDHC.dll is loaded in Wizard WM6 ROM...

I had 4Gig SDHC by scan disk and WM6. Doesnt work
so conclusion is that it will not work. then.
I've a 4GB MINI SD CARD (SDHC) from CHINA and WM6 on my Device but it's doesn't work on it!
This is because you need hardware and firmware support for SDHC. Some of the early 4GB cards (pre-SDHC) would work some didn't as reported by many posters.
THere is a thread in the Wizard Accessories forum tracking what 4GB SD cards work on what Wizards. You may want to look at that thread. I can say I bought a 4GB min-SD off of eBay, and it works for awhile and then stops working. I've given up trying to do anything with it as I've lost data due to it twice (and causes slowdowns on my phone). Some claim to have resolved some issues with them (I thought I had fixed mine by reformatting it on a PC, but after about a week of it working well, it suddenly started having problems again).

Be careful. I have a TOPRAM 4Gb also and it was not stable on my Wizard with WM6. 6 different versions of WM6!
I was about to buy an 8GB SDHC card with an adapter for my SP5 when i realized that i did not know for sure if it would, so before i spend $40 I jus want to make sure that it can work for my SP5. No. SDHC is not supported in any ROM and no one here has gotten any SDHC working on a Tornado.

But why then does the adapter say for all standard minisd devices?
If i was to still to put an SDHC card into my sp5 would it give me at least 4gb of storage or just not work at all.

It will not work. But there are 4GB non-SDHC cards which work just fine.

I would like to know if someone as found the way to execute iGo8 on a SDHC card, mine is working well on a 2Gb (non HC) card, but on my *brand new* 4Gb SDHC, it doesn't !!!
I've read on some other forums that it's a "bug" of the program, and I would like to know if there was an issue with it...

I don't think, that you problem is with capacity of card, but maybe with Igo itself? antypiracy security?

hello friends i´ve got a artemis with SDHC 4Gb and Igo8 doesn´t work, i try with a kingston 4GB SDHC and works normaly!! strange

I'm using miniSD adapter with microSD card, but when I tried to put microSDHC card it didn't working. Is there any software to make it use? Or it is hardware problem?
In order to have possibillity to use sdhc cards u should install this first. Then plug your sdhc card, it's likely to work. But i havent tested it by myself. Note: this driver dramatically drops sd-card read/write speed.

Thakns for this!! It works!! Really read/write speed is much lower, but I think that OMAP CLOCK can help in this case.
doesn't work for me..i use the orange spv c600 version of the htc tornado,installed both c550_and_650_sdteam drivers as well as Cotulla sdhc but none worked..i'm using a mini sd card 2gb and a mini sd-micro sdhc card adaptor for the 4gb class 4 kingston card....with first drivers after install i still can see the normal card,not the sdhc,but after installing cotulla drivers(removing the others first) doesn't work al all either of the cards !! wtf? i use wm 6.1 standard
Interesting. I use the following rom:
WM6.5 Standard ENG OCOS 5.2.21234(Build21234.5.0.1)ver.1.0(Full and Lite) by Gregorys
i installed the full version of this rom with the Cotulla sdhc driver found in the link. (Be aware that you should install 2 cab-files, but this is stated clearly in the readme.txt)
Maybe there is something in the rom as well that we need. why don't you install this rom and try...
10nx for the tip...the phone i have bought 2 days ago ,caught a bargain with full package at 40 dollars,already with a wm6.1 installed...but i'm not satisfied about it,has a few bugs...not sure who's version is it now,but i will install the gregorys version......hope it works after the new rom,it's good to be known that not all wm6 roms work with sdhc
jOnly works with micro SDHC plugged into the micro SD to mini SD converter and then used with tornado
the standard mini SDHC doesnt work. and this way there is no significance of SDHC's advantage of speed. isntead speed is dead slow
Follow up the analysis of the driver packages and the final solutions in the thread "SDHC Finally Works !!!!!!" (seems not all who wrote here are also there).
Keep the Tornados alive!
