I email all the time from my phone. Sometimes I get emails to that were sent to me and other clients. I hate the reply all feature. Can I remap the soft key from reply all to just reply? Any Help would be great thank you.
I second that one... It is extremely annoying and a fix would be deeply appreciated.
I third that. It is stupid. Who thought that was a good idea.
Also when you reply to all, why does it include yourself in it. I know I sent the email!
Indeed extremely annoying.
Agree with the above 100%. Amazingly stupid and downright dangerous in some cases.
It's retarded. How often do you need to reply all?

if they could just remove the function that adds me to the 'to' list when I reply to all then that would solve everyones problems.
I use reply to all quite a lot and have to remove myself from the 'to' list. If it didn't add yourself then selecting 'Reply To All' would work perfectly for most people since even if only one person was on the 'to' list when you receive an email, a 'Reply to All' would send it back to the person who sent it, which is just the same as 'Reply'
I hope that makes sense, it's a little hard to explain.
imagine an email
from : Dave
to : Me, Bob, Fred, John
reply to all >> Dave, Me, Bob, Fred, John
reply >> Dave
another email
from : Dave
to : me
reply to all >> Me, Dave
reply >> Dave
if I was removed from the list when hitting reply to all
email
from : Dave
to : Me, Bob, Fred, John
reply to all >> Dave, Bob, Fred, John
reply >> Dave
or
from : Dave
to : Me
reply to all = Dave
Reply = Dave
so this last one is the ideal solution, just take me off the list when hitting reply to all and everything works.
There's got to be a hack for this...

I've only had my phone for a week now and until yesterday was getting into the bad habit of using "Reply All" for all my emails. I got burned when I accidentally replied to over 200 recipients. Now I've spent over 6 hours trying to find a fix.
I downloaded and tried the Advanced Configuration, but nothing there.
Someone please help!
I looked into this... seems like other wm6.1 devices do NOT say REPLY ALL, only HTC. therefore there is probably a registry setting to change.
Anyone???

Last problem you can solve by adding all Emailadresses in Outlook Email -> Email Setup [Advanced Email - Option, here: "Erweiterte E-Mailoptionen"] -> Last Row here: "Meine Emailadressen"
put it in there, devide it by ;
On reply all only the Emails are answered which are NOT in this list.

We are frustrated that this is the only windows mobile phone with reply all instead of reply. Reply is more commonly used by most people as shown in this thread.

If it was "Menu" "Reply", I could live with that; but it's "Menu" "Reply" "Reply", and I just don't think that extra "Reply" is acceptable. Besides, I'm lazy and a perfectionist, which is a horrible combination.

I agree -- it is a joke that it takes three presses to accomplish the most common action you can do with an email.
yep, complete pain in the arse, hopefuly someone will find the registry seytting to change this "would much rather have Reply as a soft button then have ReplyAll in the menu as i believe it is used far less
Same here... would be great to have reply instead of reply all, and vice versa.
Surely, it is idiot that our address is added when reply to all.
Here's the "Reply All" fix!
Okay, I've found the fix at this link:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=424697
From the link:
If you want to fix it you need to turn outlook enhancement off.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Services\OutlookEnhancement]
"Module"=""
to turn it on
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Services\OutlookEnhancement]
"Module"="\\windows\\OutlookEnhancement.dll" I've confirmed that this works. You'll need a registry editor, which you can find in several places by searching for REGEDIT.

Thank's!
I was hoping for a simple and freeware product..
it keeps changing some words, for exemple when I type "digito" it changes to "dígito"
they are totally different words in portuguese
I would like T9 only to have suggestions, not to change automatically the word I'm typing. Is it possible?
I already unchecked all checkboxes in T9 settings, like auto-substitution, auto-correction, etc.
Same to me. As of now, I enabled T9,but I miss the suggestions while writing.
Me myself and I, I'm totally over it! Why have I got a keyboard to tpye in waht eva i Want wHateVa way i wnat if there's somebody watching over my shoulder and telling me what I'm saying is wrong? There has got to be a way to completely remove this thoroughly annoying feature from all message composing!

Yep, I'm with you on this one. I have unchecked ALL the word completion/T9 settings but yet somehow TP keeps suggesting words.
Also, when I try to compose a message whenever I press the arrow keys whole words keep jumping into my text message. It seems that I have to manually refuse every suggested word otherwise it will be written to the text.
In the end the message is useless and I need to be extra careful while typing :-(
Id hate to be captain obvious, but...
did you click the button (the one with the slider) on the virtual keyboard from t9 to abc?
The T9 feature is terribly implemented. I've even complained to HTC, but from the look of the respond given, I don't think we are going to see any improvement on it.
The following is my case report,
Me:
I'm having problem typing using the keyboard via T9.
Basically, it forces me to use only words found in its dictionary. The default setting is on for "Spell Correction", "Word Completion" and "Auto-Substitution". If I turn "Spell Correction" off, I'm still forced to choose the words suggestion by "Word Completion" and "Auto-substitution" if there are similar words found. In my case, I'll have to turn everything off to be able to type anything properly. Even so, the capitalization of letters is still bugging me. If I have a word "Rumah" in the dictionary and I want to type "rumah", it will force the word to become "Rumah" no matter what. This is making the T9 feature useless. I hope HTC would have come out with some solution for this. Thanks.

This way, if user wants to add the word, he/she just tap on it, instead of tapping the "+" icon and retype the word. I created a feature request for Google for a custom auto correction feature, which I think will go a long way in improving upon the stock Gingerbread keyboard.
Please visit the link and star it if you'd like to see this feature added in a future update. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=14420
Thanks.
I think the keyboard will only get better with future releases. Google recently brought a company called blindtype, so hopefully they will implement it in their keyboard soon.
Anyway, I stared it stock keyboard is kinda bad!!
Ummm ... Doesn't Gingerbread have custom auto-completion? If I type a new word, then click on it, it says to click on it again to add it, then when I type that word, it comes up in the list of auto-completes. Or did I misunderstand what you are trying to achieve?

PLEASE people, only comment on starred reports, be they bug or enhancement requests if your comment actually adds value to the concept or bug report, such as additional steps to reproduce a problem on a bug, or an idea of how to improve the enhancement request. All the other stuff just spams people's mailbox and ticks them off.

I believe he's trying to achieve a way for us to EDIT or IMPORT the autocorrection list. With a feature like that, we could move our autocorrects from phone to phone, or better yet, they could be synced to the Google cloud with all the rest of our personalizations. As it stands now, wipe/reset your phone, and your keyboard has to re-learn all your habits/words.
BTW - I've found that whenever people start their post with "ummm..." it's taking as some kind of snarky put down of the person they're responding to. I've had perfectly innocent posts replied to with name-calling and insults over that.

Thanks for the tip/warning. I usually mean ummm to mean, "I'm confused by what you say" and not a snarky put down of the person. I think I understand what he's trying to achieve now and it makes sense to be able to transfer the custom list. Under Language in settings, you can view your list and add or delete words, but that's it. I don't think it would be too hard to add and Import and Export button to it at the very least.
Cheers.

I hear you on the "ummm", it's what I mean too, but it seems to upset people.
Now that's a good tip about going to language settings...I did not know that, but I don't really use stock keyboard, I use SwiftKey almost exclusively, and I believe it puts your auto-correct stuff on the sdcard, so they stick between roms/resets, and you could even move to a new phone.
edit: actually, looking at that Settings user dictionary, is that just user defined words, or actual autocorrects, or does the system use some kind of algorithm to compare what you're typing against those words?
It would be tedious if you have a lot of words, but you could always copy/paste your custom word list into that feature with a pre-saved text file listing them.
Thanks for starring, folks. I agree, I hope people don't get carried away by responding with their every two cents, which ends up just spamming mailboxes.
As for what I mean by custom auto corrections, if anyone is using or have used Smart Keyboard Pro, they'll know what I mean. Basically, you get to edit and choose what specific words you want to be auto corrected to what. For example, if you're prone to typing "km" instead of "I'm" you can create a custom auto correction to make km=I'm. That way, anytime you type "km" by accident, it'll automatically switch it to "I'm."
Another example, "tmr=tomorrow" or "idk=I don't know." You can do this on Smart Keyboard Pro and it's one of the best features in making the typing experience easier.
Bump. This got moved from General to Q&A and got lost in the shuffle. Please visit the link and star the request if you wish to see Custom Auto Corrections implemented by Google. I think it'll enhance greatly the typing experience.
Thanks.

I agree, that code site is pretty much just useless.

Is it possible to send anonymous MMS?
First of all I have the curiosity if it´s possible and if YES, I would like to know how this can be done with Android.
Thanks in advance!
So, I change a little bit the question
Is it possible to send anonymously a MMS? Generally speaking ...
Depends, you could try to use an app, Text Free, and set up an anonymous info. Or you can try to use an email to send a sms/mms. Pretty easy actual and seems like a better route too. Just gotta find out what services provider the number your trying to send the mms too.
Ill pick an example:
So lets say my friend has Verizon and I wanted to send them a Pic.
I would use 10 min email for a fake email.
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
Compose email with this as your blueprint:
Verizon [10-digit phone number]@vtext.com
[10-digit phone number]@vzwpix.com (MMS)
Example: [email protected]
[email protected]
This is a list of other carriers:
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/email-to-sms/
Attach pic and send away.
Anonymous as that gets and no trails back you.
Happy sendings. Let me know if that works for you.
As a precaution I would test send to your self just in case of unexpected feedback or worse.
---------- Post added at 03:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:00 AM ----------
Oh and for phone use, use email setup with the email
Thanks a lot for answer. I'll give a try in the next days and I'll come back with a conclusion. For the moment I'm struggling with understanding some things regarding 10 Minute Mail and those links, but time is my friend for the moment.
Thanks again!
Any other suggestion is welcome!

So, finally I have found an answer to my question.
@masterchiefb117
I have tried your solutions but none of them helped me. But, thanks for your efforts. In the end, trying what you have told I found some other answers So, not always you get what you want.
After some researches I´ve discovered an web-site that allows me to send MMS as anonymous or with a different nick The delay was minimum possible, I think, took just seconds! Since I am not allowed to post external links I´ll give only the name of this site -> WIZDROP (here is a share-knowledge and not advertising)
Actually, this site gave me the answer Yes, it´s possible to send MMS anonymously!
Enjoy sending, but do not abuse
I was recently looking for a way to do this as well and found out that there are some limited options. I found for Android, you can use an app called "Ghostly | Anonymous MMS" that will work to send anonymous MMS to most US based phones.
