Hi,
I have an XDA Orbit 2 and wanted to isntall the new uDK 6.1 ROM onto it,
however have not attempted anything like this before.
Would installing it void my warranty?, and if so is there anyway I can change it back to factory setting if I do need to send it back to o2 for any reason?
Thank you,

OK, I admit it, I made a boo-boo...
I've got an Orange SPV M600 which shipped with WM5. I decided to flash the ROM with a cooked WM6 version (for the HTC Prophet) and although it successfully applied, I've had niggely problem after niggely problem and have had enough. Something's got to be up with the ROM itself as I've tried a hard reset, tried again but problems still occur.
I want to put the Orange OEM ROM back on it, factory reset it and start again. Does anyone know of where I can get this?
Worth a try Thanks in advance....
You should go to the xda wiki first and look but here is what you are looking for

Hi,
I want to upgrade the ROM of my HTC Tytn II to the version NoThrills WM61 NLD V3. I was wondering what happens to the software, which is currently installed on my device, by the phone provider (KPN Netherlands), like EasyMenu, after this upgrade.
I'm not saying that this software is that important to me, but I just want some more information about this.
Thanks for your answers,
Dennieku
everything will get erased as u will need to do a hard reset...u can back stuff up and do various backups to things u want but u will need to search for that
The phone will be wiped clean and the ROM you upgrade to will be the only thing on it. You can use UC to add stuff you want to the new ROM on first boot (provided that the new ROM supports it).

OK, thanks for your answers !!!!
yeah, technically it gets wiped clean, but mine still has some orange software that got installed the first time it started up after i flashed it.
Hello guys!
I have a very big problem. The screen of my VarioIV doesn't work any more and so i want to send it back to T-Mobile and get a new one. The problem is, that a cooked rom is installed.
I already have the original German Rom on my PC (one file called: ruu_signed.nbh), but as far as i know, you can't just flash such a rom without using the screen, like with a cooked rom.
What can I do guys?
Thanks!
Hello there. I am about to buy HTC Touch Pro 2 from Verizon. And i really like the new WM 6.5.1 with Leo. But my question is do i always do hard reset before i even install a new ROM? And if i backed up my original ROM, do i install it the same way as i am installing a new cooked ROM? THanks.

No necessary to hard reset before installing new ROM, just be sure to have a backup of your personal data.
More or less is the same process.
Have a deep read to this section that is for CDMA TP2

Good luck,
What's more important is that you hard reset AFTER you install a new ROM.
Also not necessary, unless the ROM itslef performs a hard reset
