Music Tab problem? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Using DCS v 13 the music tab was working fine at first with the exception that it would get in the way if I wanted to control music from other programs via bluetooth. Now it just seems to crash when i load it, can't play any songs or change the track. tried soft reseting, didn't work out, any body out there have any suggestions.
Side note, anyone having problems with msn via wifi, had it for a bit on my tytn II and now its back, proxy = disabled

Windows Media can not play music without bluetooth headset

my phone is a HTC touch cruise, WindowsMobile6.1.
it was no problem playing mp3 music before. i got a bluetooth stereo headset recently, and i connected it with the phone and tried play music via the headset and it worked. but after i turn off the headset windows media cannot play music any more. it always popup with this 'Unspecified error' message. i tried soft reset the phone but still cannot play. and when i connected the headset again it worked with the bluetooth again.
the interesting thing is if i put the mp3 into application data\sounds, then i can play it in notification setting preview without blutooth.
how can i get the player working without the bluetooth headset? i guess this may because the player still try to play via bluetooth while it is disconnected, but how can i set it back to normal?
THis is a wierd problem i havent heard before.
I use Sony bluetooth headphones with my t cruise with now problems at all. The only ***** was having to go thru settings/connections etc to connet them, which i solved using a2dp toggle switch (see my post).
As for your problem, mm wierd. You say ur using wm6.1, so obviously a cooked rom yes?? what rom are you using? I havent flashed my cruise yet as i am waiting for the official wm6.1 from htc to come out first to try and compare.
This is probably a bug in your cooked rom. From my understanding of a2dp drivers it is only turned on when bluetooth headset is connected. When the headphones are off, the driver is not on meaning u should be able to use media player normally (or am i talking ****??)
You might be in for a hard reset......
Let me know how u got on please.
looks like a2dp is not turning off after disconnecting the bluetooth headset. If it was me I would hard reset and try again. if the problem comes back, try a different rom.
the rom was put in by seller when i got the phone,, i'm still new to the WinMobile, don't know how to load the rom again. i installed the TCPMP now, it seems working ok. i'll try some other headset and see how it goes..

HTC Streaming Media only works in foreground?

Hi,
Does anyone know a tweak to make the HTC Streaming Media app continue to work when the back light is off, or the screen is locked etc...
It just stops playing on my Diamond when streaming and not in the foreground.
Thanks in advance
I have the same problem with my HTC elfin. I have tried several of the possible fixes listed in these forums; however, none have worked perfectly so far. I can listen to streaming internet radio fine without lossing connection; however, I can't listent to music from my shared folder's over my home network without loosing connection after the first song. The first song will play until the end but the network connection is lost as soon as the device goes to sleep and will not play any of the next songs in the list. I would also love to finally have a fix for this.

Question / Help: HTC Touch Dual Music Player(s) All Died

I have an HTC Touch Dual (20 key) running Windows Mobile 6.1. Last night all of the music players I have on the phone failed: HTC Audio Manager opens but the songs scroll rapidly (but don't play) in the player view, Windows Media won't open / respond at all, and Pocket Player 4.0 (and later 4.1 after reinstall) will open but closes whenever 'play' is pressed. I have Napster music to go subscription music on a microSD card that tests fine when I insert and play in my laptop. Nothing that I know of has changed on the phone (ie new programs or updates) since last successful use and all other programs seem to work as normal. I tried restarting the phone including a soft reset - no change.
Any ideas, help, suggestions would be most appreciated as I am loathe (surprise) to do a hard reset and load everything in again if I can avoid it.
Thanks,
Paul

Windows Mobile 6.5 & Bluetooth A2DP - THE HORROR!

SOLVED!!!
Hi there,
Ever since I have my Touch Diamond and My cherished Nokia A2DP headset, I've been enjoying wireless music, calling and everything at the touch of a few buttons on my headset.
Recently I finally flashed to winmo 6.5, and I also decided that Touchflo was costing me too much precious memory. So I flashed to a nice clean rom (BsB).
Everything cool so far, that is, until I tried my BT headset. With out the touchflo player you're automatically dependent on windows media player, and if there is one piece of software that makes listening to music a b*tch it's wmp. So I installed pocketmusic. Everything fine so far. but the controls on my bt headset stubbornly only work with AND automatically start WMP. very irritating. after extensive searching of the beloved XDA forums I found out that this was a known problem. WMP Hijacking BT controls.
And finally it appeared I had found the solution: T-back's 6.5 BT driver.cab
This was supposed to give back the control of Bluetooth to the program running at the moment. all the coments left in said thread were joyous, it works, it's alive...
So I installed it, and too my suprise it did indeed stop WMP from hijacking the controls and also assigned the controls to pocketmusic...
Unfortunatly it also stopped the audio from going to my Bt headset, which kind of beats the purpose of a bluetooth headset.
So now I'm back to listening to music without T-back's driver, on my BT headset, and having to control my music on screen, which is a little irritating.
I've allready replied to the thread in hopes of getting a solution or something, but unfortunatly no reply.
I'm hoping someone beter technically endowed than me can give me a solution for this problem, this is the only thing standing between me, and my perfect rom!
HELP
Note, I tried this on 2 different winmo 6.5.1 rom's (benko's clean and the BsB 6.5.1)
note2: could this maybe be something having to do with the difference between 6.5 and 6.5.1?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I don't know about the ROM being the problem. You can try pocket player. It supports AVRCP by default. It also has a lot more features than Pocket Music.

Same problem there, i've tried them both.
you wouldn't happen to knwo what the latest version was by any chance?
I had a version which I had to import a dll, to get exclusivity for a2dp controls.
Which also didn't work for me
*edit* Never mind, it's 4.1 ;-)
But it's not really the solution I'm looking for, I want to fix the problem internally (so I can use a2dp for any program I want, for example S2P)
*edit 2*
Tried it, still not working, it's still starting WMP, even with the extra wmp plugin which Conduits recommends for this issue...
So still in need of assistance
Crap! It turns out I have the same problem using ENERGY ROM, but hadn't notice since the volume control on my HT820 works OK. I'm actually using HTC Audio Manager (manila) so I don't get WMP, is just the FWD / REV controls on the headphones don't work. Looks like Conduits will provide a fix for their player in the next release.

Nope, there not fixing it, that is the fix, it's a DLL file. the problem he's having is he isn't able to check the box to override wmp control. which you can do by selecting it, and then pressing the enter key on your virtual keyboard, unfortunatly the fix did not work for me
this is the dll file you need to put into your player directory, which you can then configure through the plugins tab in pocket player itself (after soft reset)
Try it, maybe it'll work for you, it didn't for me
volume control does work for me as well though, but it's the only thing taht's working
Solved
Thanx to Zänker
You should install the two files from these posts.
With this one you can toggle a2dp manually once your headset is connected:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437726
The following makes it toggle automatically after you connect your headset:

(you should have the t-back driver installed as well)
Worked for me, using the bsb 6.5.1g rom and s2p media player.

Is that player dependent ?
I usually use Pocket Tunes, and never had this issue with 6.5 builds (I indeed use BsB 6.5.1G atm). If it helps i use Sony-Ericsson HBH-DS970...

I had this problem with all the players I tried (except WMP, which was the culprit)
In case you're interested...
Juts fixed my AVRCP problem using HTC Audio Manager in NRG's ROM. I installed this version of audio manager and everything is working fine.

Skyfire (t-Mobile UK) no Sound - playing iplayer, you tube

Hello
I am having problems getting sound to work on skyfire while using mobileweb (You Tube, Iplayer etc...)
I have installed the most recent Skyfire.
* It works fine while connected through WIFI.
* IE has no problems playing you tube videos with sound.
* I have looked out the forum and checked that the system volume is on,
installed to the memory of the phone, un ticked 'hint for mobile web' .
* T-Mobile Uk insist they don't block port UDP (or any port).
I am very stuck. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers

Do you have your device connected to your PC when using Skyfire? If yes, then it will nor let you hear any sound. Disconnect from the PC and the sound will be back. Otherwise, chek in your Skyfire menu whether Mute audio in on or off. Hope this helps.
Hi, Thanks for that.
Not connected through PC, nor is it on Mute....
Really Stuck been trying to sort for days!
You could download a fresh cab from Skyfire website and re-install. I am also with T-Mobile UK and I have no problems. Good luck!
i also have this problem trying to play youtube and there is no sound.
Hi,
I'm having the same problem trying to play sound from any flash enabled website. I am also on T-Mobile. When connected to WiFi the sound works fine.
not sorted out yet with skyfire. best workaround i have found is to use myplayer and coreplayer.
what???? youtube works on ie?!??!?
thats news to me, the only way i could get youtube to work is with skyfire through wlan
its not a bug thats how skyfire works, when not connected through wifi skyfire shows notification that there is no sound.
suddenly no audio
Since the start of skyfire I've had audio, video. Had it last night all fine.
Tonite no skyfire audio. Same USA T-mobile Edge data plan.
No change with reset.
First time: this error message from skyfire that my connection can't play audio.
What changed overnight? T-mobile? Skyfirw? Thx for any input. green
