Strange problem here when using my keyboard. When using in Landscape mode the input text is often (8 out of 10 times) not visible. I find this hard to explain so I show you an example.
- Start>Programs>RSS Hub
- Menu>Channel>New
- Select: I know the Channel's URL (RSS)
This is what I see in Portrait mode:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This is what I see when I want to use the keyboard in Landscape mode
Notice that all input has been gone. Actually it's not gone, it's invisible. When switching back to Portrait mode everything is okay again.
Same problem when I go to my Contacts in Landscape mode. More strange is the funny symbol (see red arrow) in the input field. I can type but the input is invisible untill I switch Portrait mode.
Am I the only one. Any suggestions to fix this annoying problem?
I've had that before, I already posted it in the Raphael Tweaks thread. It's caused by enabling cleartype in landscape mode - turn it off again and your problem will be solved

Above is a screencap from the manual, but I am only able to perform video calling thru option number 1, options number 2, 3 and 4 are not available, does anyone else have the same issue?
All four options work here (I'm still using the original ROM though)

thks.. I'm on original ROM as well.. but could be some program I've installed.. SPB Mobile Shell or SPB Phone Suite?! hmmm..
Hello,
I had a problem with the first option you specify, i did not have the icon of making video call.
I installed several software, for my opinion what have disabled me the option is the dialer i installed (don't remember which) but it was the dialer.
Nothing helped & uninstall wont fix it.
HARD SPL helped....
Hope it helps...
Tamir
thks guys.. think I might have found the problem.. it was because I changed the default font from Tahoma to Segoe UI, therefore because of the font size difference, part of the context menu was hidden from view.
How did I found out? The hard way.. I performed a hard reset n install all my apps back, but the options were all there, the only thing I did not do.. was to change my font..
Ok so I dont need this feature myself, but someone else was asking for it and I thought I had answe:
Start - Settings - Input - Options, untick "Capitalize first letter of sentence".
BUT, that does not change capitalizing in SMS? Why and wtf?
Im hoping someone will come out with a solution too
It looks like it works on some people. So could this be ROM version related problem?
Mine is stock 1.90.414.4 WWE.
Here you are!

No, that wont do the trick.
It just disables T9 and word completion, but does not affect on capitalizing first letter (at least on my TP).
am having the same problem on my TP.. turned off capitalization, doesnt work.. infact, my problem is: If I write hello it'll automaically become hellHello... etc.. what to do>

Seems like word completion is still enabled. Turning it off on my tp worked for me, not for my wife's tp. I used this cab on hers and it is now off in everything.

Great dauber, thank you so much!!!!!! Finally it's gone. Now I only hope to find a solution to disable the "Capitalize first letter". Cause it's the same thing, I can uncheck the box, but it's still doing it.
Anyway, thanks again!
I have an HTC 7 Mozart running the official Orange UK version of mango updated yesterday via Zune.
I am running in English mode but I have tried other regions including United States.
Under the "ease of access" menu in settings there is a setting called "Speech for phone accessibility" which needs to be turned on for speaking caller ID to work.
the problem I have is that there is no on/off button for this setting.
How do I get it to turn on or show the on/off button?

Here is a picture of where the on/off slider should be.
If I change the region to Uunited States, the slider shows up^^
(on my hd2 with mango)

Didn't work, slider is still hidden.
Some ROMs, regions and languages that function not work (the same on Mango with Polish localizations). You check Settings>Speak - that not work on my ROM too.
All other voice features work for me so I see no reason as to why voice caller id would be unavailable.
Take a look at this thread - it's likely to solve your problems:

did you actually see a relevant registry entry there or was this a random redirection?
I think I'm dumb, but usually this option is under "Display", but I don't see to see it. Anyone know where the option rotate screen is at?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this thread -_-

top right. Landscape or portrait
The options I have in this drop down are. Brightness adjust (slider) wifi, bluetooth, LTE, Airplane mode, flashlight, location, case screen. Dat ****?
For me it is under Display. It is called "When device is rotated" and has two options: Rotate the contents of the screen and Stay in portrait view. Using this once will add the notification shortcut.
Don't have that option either under display.

Lol, odd.

Hello all,
My problem is that the navbar overlaps my dialer as you can see:

I have tryied even with GMD Inmersive, but it has a strange behavior: the navkeys dissappear, but the black area where they appear still remains there:
I had the same problem with the camera app (navbar overlaps it), but with GDM inmersive it is solved and the black area is not showed. This is the normal behavior that is supposed to have GMD Inmersive.
Is there any solution to solve my problem? Thanks in advance
