Hey guys I saw this yesterday on G4 its called Evernote. i just got it on my t-mobile wing and its great thought I share it with you guys the website is www.evernote.com they have the cab download on the website.
Updated client
They just updated their winmo client: http://blog.evernote.com/2009/01/15/windows-mobile-update/
Seems a little more functional than before. You can search and view all notes, but you can only edit text-only notes.
Very useful service
I've been using Evernote for quite a while, and recommend it highly. One of the coolest features is the ability to search for text within an image. I can take a photo of say a meeting notice or a party invitation, and upload it form the phone to Evernote. That text in that image is then searchable from the web or from the phone. I know the party is at "Ginger's" house, but what was the address? Search Evernote for Ginger and up comes the picture that I uploaded a month ago.
I also send web clippings to evernote whenever I'm making travel plans. I was at a car rental counter and was able to show the clerk the reservation confirmation page that I had saved to Evernote right from my Tilt.

I've been looking around for some type of software (since WM5 and WM6 don't seem to have the ability built in) that will let me know when I've gotten an email in a folder other than my inbox.
All of the people in my office have separate folders, and all of their email is sorted into their respective boxes automatically in a server-side rule. I'd always have to manually check those folders in windows mobile (I've got an 8125 running XDA Mobile 6 r4) every time I looked at my phone.
While searching around I found a software package called watchflag (www.watchflag.com or m.watchflag.com for the direct download). It didn't have this option at first, but I asked their support about it and they actually wrote it into the code! It'll play different notifications depending on who it's from or what the subject line is, and it checks all folders, including subfolders (just be sure to follow all of their directions!). So if you've been looking for something to alert you on new email in subfolders (the boss [or the wife] emailing you and you have a separate folder for them), this software will work great.
Just wanted to spread the word as I looked high and low and haven't found anything else that does this out there!
thanks for the post, nice ap. probably shouldnt put your email in plain site like that[username]
I've been waiting a long time for this! Thanks!
Looks interesting. I'm looking for something subtley different - I use FlexMail to access a private IMAP account and I'd love to find something which hooks the standard notification process, so, for instance, my HTC Home new mail count will increment for mail received in Flexmail/IMAP. (At the moment I have Outlook mirroring the IMAP account and checking for mail every 5 minutes to flag new arrivals, but that's wasteful of resources...)
Does anyone know of something that allows you to hook the standard notification procedures for custom events?
Macrospecs, Inc. just announced the launch of FriendMobilizer, a Windows Mobile application that gives users full access to their Facebook account.
Supported feature includes Viewing friends’ info, writing on walls, looking at photo albums, changing status text, etc. FriendMobilizer run on the majority of Windows Mobile smartphones and Pocket PCs, it also allows you to get notifications sent straight to the home screen. You’ll be able to approve friend requests, view group/event invites, find out about new wall posts and messages, and much more.

Because I've always wanted pop-up ads on my phone!!
I tried it for about 5 minutes.
I received a 'new message notification' that turned out to be an advertisement to try some product, and I immediately removed the application. I understand the merits--as well as the downsides--of ad-based products, but getting advertisements as pop-up notifications on my mobile phone sucks!
thanks 4 letting us know about it mate
You know, I find that it works just as well to just change your email notification settings on facebook. This way, you'll get an email alert when people comment on photos (for example).
Windows Mobile gives you a popup notification of the new email, and then you accomplish exactly the same thing as FriendMobilizer promises, without adding an extra app
OK, it's about time that I reviewed my email hosting options, I am currently paying $10 a month to exchangemymail.com for exchange 2k3 hosting (200MB mailbox). The main reason I went with that company was at the time they were the only ones I could find that offered postini filtered email accounts for one user only (I use it for my personal phone not just buisiness).
Top notch spam filtering is my #1 priority as I have had evilc.com and the [email protected] email address for nigh on 20 years now so I get a *lot* of spam.
However, since I originally took out the account, google bought postini, and now it seems that you can pay google $6 a year for postini filtering and bolt it onto any email account (You need a domain, which I have).
I am not unhappy with exchangemymail.com's service at all, but I think I can maybe get a better deal now.
So... looking for input on the subject.
Here are some points worth noting:
I currently use windows mobile, but I am maybe getting an android phone too soon, so a system that works well on both would be nice.
I use the same account on my desktop as my phone and I will not change this - it has to be as good a desktop solution as it is a phone solution.
Unification of email / contacts / tasks etc and OTA synching of these is vital. With my current system, I can enter a contact into outlook, pick up my (untethered) phone and the contact will be in there within seconds. I want to keep this.
I want the push email to be as real-time as possible. None of this every 5 or 10 minutes rubbish. I hold conversations via email, so it needs to be fast.
I am not hugely happy with the desktop exchange solution, it takes ~2-3 mins to load up outlook, and I have to enter my password too. However, I am not a huge fan of web interfaces for email / contacts etc.
I suppose it doesnt have to be postini spam filtering, but it needs to be really, really good.
Not looking for super cheap / free solutions from tiny outfits. I want to sleep sound at night knowing that my data is safe. (Yes I know about the google / sidekick fiasco but that isn't the norm for google)
I am in the UK, so hosting in places where the exchange rate is favourable makes sense
I spent the weekend trying to find a universal TTS solution to setup a phone to read texts from the stock app and email from K9 and website would be a bonus. Apparently Vlingo may have been able to do this but it is no longer available as a stand alone product and has been rolled into Dragon but the text and email reading functionality are not part of the current version from what I can tell.
Is there a technical reason that universal TTS isn't part of the Android OS? How does a visually impaired user read their emails, texts, documents, and websites?
Anyone have the apk for the last Vlingo release?
Well this isn't S7 Edge specific, but I was curious if anyone knew of an email client that will offer 100% offline viewing and also auto download the entire email include HTML/pictures/attachments?
The standard GMail app is close, but if you don't open the email when you have internet and it has information in an HTML-based picture, you can't see that information. I realize this will eat up some space, but this feature would be quite helpful in a couple situations I've been in (i.e. traveling out of country and needed some information from an email).

Try k9 mail. A lot of other clients are based on it. I use [email protected] mail pro.
Thanks! I think this does the trick.
