Can´t get GPS working..
After search for gps in destinator 6 it founds gps in COM4 and connects.
But I always get the message "GPS ANTENNA NOT FOUND" in the sattelite map page...
Any ideas?
Is there a known problem with the shared GPS port on the X7510?
If I use 3dtracking (http://free.3dtracking.net) it just locks up (the app, and sometimes the machine), but it's find on the direct port, but that locks out other GPS apps, eg. TomTom.
Recently I started using Google Latitude, and after a while with TomTom as the focus, it (TomTom) loses the satellite lock, and when I switch to Google Maps it starts with "Initializing GPS" and also picks up nothing. A reset is necessary to get GPS working again.
Anyone else had similar problems?

I'm seeing a similar issue, though no locking.
SatNav programs (TomTom and iGO8) can see the GPS Port on either COM4 or COM5
Spb Weather, which does not have any GPS Port configuration options, so must use the MS GPSID cannot obtain data from the GPS receiver.
Spb Weather can turn the GPS receiver on, as it starts the amber LED flashing, but no data is extracted, and the location query fails. It then fails to turn the GPS off again.
It works fine on the HTC Diamond
Hi there,
Have been trying to setup the gps signal on my dads touch pro (raphael), however it seems incapable of getting any kind of GPS receipt.
I've installed HTC GPS tool to test this and have tested 57600 (default) and now 4800 baud rate. It does not seem to get ANY response, does not find a satellite whatsoever. I've also set it to cold start, and have run quickgps beforehand.
What settings do you guys use to get a GPS fix and do you have any suggestions for me?
Rom version is latest official, so is radio. No hardspl or any of that stuff installed, stock touch pro.
boud will make no difference at all
it's an old leftover from when gps was serial rs232 connected
and even back then it would make no difference as long
as the wired gps supported the chosen boudrate
preciously few data is being transmitted from a gps
but mind you it's rare to get a gps to work inside try outside or in a car
there they work
use ChartCross GPS app
it auto detects GPS and gives you indication on the progress of getting the GPS fix
usually it's COM4, baud could be 4800, 9600 (i've used these two) or anythinf
cold fix indoors (with QuickGPS almanac downloaded), i could get one indoors in 5 minutes... less than a minute outside of course
having issues with my Fuze as i recently installed TOM TOM 6.032. I have tried playing around with the Baud and COM settings but i get the same message "No Valid GPS signal".
i have tried changing the GPS receiver types and also by enabling Bluetooth and etc.
Please help!!
a) can you get a GPS lock using ChartCross GPS or the HTC GPS app?
b) are you sure you set TomTom to COM4, BaudRate 4800 or 9600?
-> make sure you get a GPS lock using the apps in (a), then close that app, then launch TomTom... TomTom shouldn't take more than a minutes to get a GPS lock since this is a hot start
Hi @ all,
first of all a happy new year
I wonder if anyone has the Omnia B7330 running with TomTom 7 on it. I have the problem that TomTom doesn't find the internal GPS. I tried all possible settings with
"internal GPS"
" other NMEA GPS"
and all possible Baud rates and com Ports
but TomTom does not find the internal GPS.
In the meantime I wonder if perhaps the internal GPS might be damaged and I should send the device back??
On my HTC Snap (Maple) TomTom recognizes the internal GPS immediately.
I als tried to manage something concerning "Port Splitter", but most of these programs are not for WM without touchscreen....
Any ideas how to get this working?
Best Regards
Jolig
Hi, if you want to know if your device is working or not, try GPS Test 1.04. There is a cab file for it, "google is your friend" as they say. 8) If you run the program (it is good for non-touchscreens as well) and it can find a signal, then you have to fine tune your navigation software, if no signal, then you have a faulty device.
Happy New Year!

Hope this helps:

...the Testapp recognizes the GPS on COM3 with 9600Baud and can work with it. The GPS Module seems to be working well, found my position after 10secs. TomTom however can't work with the GPS-Module... I'm on TomTom 7.910.
Any idea?

Try this
-----Omnia Configuration-----
Settings\Hardware\External GPS
*GPS program port: COM2
*GPS hardware port: COM9
- Baud Rate: 9600
*Manage GPS automatically: YES
------Tomtom Configuration-----
*GPS NMEA
*Baud rate 4800
*COM2
IMPORTANT
When you make all the steps you have to see in the Satellites top/right windows of the tomtom a little Yellow/Black ball rolling, that means the GPS is working. You only have to wait to your Omnia GPS find the signal.
-> You can download an XTRA GPS DATA to improve the finding speed of the GPS, personally I can not see the diference between NO XTRA DATA and XTRA DATA.
Settings\Hardware\Enchanced GPS
*Enable XTRA DATA CONNECTION
*Disable automatically download.
*Press download button
With that configuration in my omnia I don't have any problem with Tomtom.
The Testapp also recognizes the GPS on COM3 on my B7330.
But it dosen't work on TomTom 7.910.
Is there a way to change the GPS to use COM2 ?

Hello!
Do this:
use another phone with touch screen, set the tom tom gps as an external port and the appropriate speed,
save your settings. fire up tomtom on omni pro b-7330.
Can you type the addresses correctly? I had a problem with another phone with qwerty by tomtom7.
Erroneous indication of gps in omni pro B-7330 / no fix

I need help, my gps in the B-7330 incorrectly indicates the distance of some 400km,
Is it a bug?
after uploading the google maps, fix grabs for a few seconds, and incorrectly states the place automapa (another program to navigation) also indicates the wrong place but other than google maps, the difference of some 1000km.,
I used GPSTEST 1.04:
COM3: 9600kb.
Is it firmware bug, or damage is hard?
using the settings from the post in advance Com9: omnia has gps pro, but did not catch the fix - no signal satleitów.
So, are you sure the port Com9?
So I need help
You should try posting on the proper section for this non HTC device:

TomTom is pants on the 7330.
I'm using Route 66 (v7) with UK and Europe maps. GPS can be interigated through the menu and cold fix is quicker than most I've used.
No GPS lag, and other than the soft button icons sitting above the call and call end buttons (can cause confusion), I would recommend going down this route instread (no pun intended)
Also strangely, the 'browse map' facility is managed through the 'zoom to' function.
