Hi all,
I have HTC p3300
and I have installed Artemis Touch 3.01 Everything works great.
The only problem I have is when I go and try to change the Wallpaper to my jpg images that i have on my SD.
The images become 50 white like there would be a white layer on top of them with 50% opacity Is this normal? is there a setting somewhere that makes the images look normal when they become walpapers?
Please help.
Thanks.
open the file explorer, and navigate to the directory where the picture is, and hold n click on the picture for the menu and click set as background picture or whatever is correct option.
it'll show the picture and an opacity meter, set to 0
when i hold the picture it gives me the option to set it as todays background, and than when i choose it, the options dissapear without any opacity options. and than the background is set to that image.
Just use the Pictures & Videos app to select the pic.

I've got a 240x320 JPG image on my Storage Card that I want to make a background on O2 today. I know I can go to Album and pick the file and set it as a background but it doesn't appear 'full screen' as a background and has a white boarder all around it.
I tried increasing the image size to 600x800 as a test and it does the same. How can I get the image to fully fit the background?
Also, if there any way to change the text colours that appear in the menu drop-downs, etc.?
Finally, what's a good FREE way to be able to create a .TSK file?

When I select to use a picture as a wallpaper rather than the one with the theme, the picture I select always appears translucent(really really light) How can I fix this?
Also on a side note, where would I go to check my current number on the TC?
Thanks

View the picture first, then menu> set as wallpaper (assuming that you are using the standard viewer.....
You should see an option to select the transparency, set to zero and OK...
Not sure what you mean by number?
If you select a JPG as wallpaper, please set transparancy to 0%.

Can someone please post the HTC wallpapers that are in the original TC Rom? I think there is a blue a tan color, and a blue with a cross pattern. I like those as the wallpaper but got a new rom and forgot to save the file.
Thanks,
When i go to set a custom background image under my today settings, why does the image show up alot lighter than what it actually is?
That's because Windows Mobile sets the transparency of the image to high by default. Instead, try finding the image on File Explorer, viewing it then going to Menu and Set as Today Background... From here, you can manually choose the transparency level. 0% transparency means the picture's colours are fully visible.
So I'm having trouble with my today wallpaper and the TF3D background wallpaper. I'm using the first image as the jpg (480x640) as the wallpaper. It looks fine. The second and third pictures are my today screen and home touchflo screens. You should be able to tell that the wallpaper is faded now, but on my SecondToday screen the wallpaper looks fine. Is there something I can do to correct this problem? I've searched the forums and all throughout my device, but I can't find a way to correct the problem.
I'm using Energy ROM 2 with Showaco's backgroup wallpaper for all tabs. Is there a way I can bypass the setting of the wallpaper and just copy the image as another name? Where is the wallpaper stored?
If you set your wallpaper in your Today settings it automatically gives it like 40% transparency. No way I have found to change this. However, if you go to Manila settings and change it there, it should have no transparency.
If that doesn't work, try setting your manila wallpaper with this program.
Also for the actual today screen, try this program if you like it to change occassionally.
Thanks Bruce for the suggestions. The Diamond background changer didn't work either. I really don't care about the Today screen being faded, but the manila wallpaper being faded is really annoying.
Anyone else have a suggestion?
Sorry man, I don't have these issues at all.
My backgrounds all look fine.
Go to Pictures and Video (the default picture viewer), and select your picture. Then, select "Use this as home screen / background".

this is the key..no extra apps and 100% success everytime....
I found a solution. I uninstalled Showaco's All tabs background and reinstalled it and it fixed the problem. I don't know what caused it to begin with, but at least now its' fixed.
Hi.
I don't think this is an easy one, but I'll ask anyway.
When you use "Pictures & Videos" to select an image to use as your Today background, you are given the option of "Transparency Level". I just wondered if there's a way to select what colour is 'behind' the image when you do this. At the moment, it's white (or close enough), so the image gets lighter with more transparency. I would like it black, so that the image gets darker with more transparency. Realistically, you should be able to assign any colour, so you can almost colourize an image by altering its transparency.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.

It is not a " white colored " background. It is a " lack of color " background, no image.
You cannot overlap two today background images.

I don't want to "overlap" two today background images. If you read the question, you'll see that I've explained the background colour is white, which it is.
Set the background image to 100% transparent and you'll see white. A background with a "lack of colour" would actually be black (see transparency, 0 value colour etc. for both windows & web development.)
Something, somewhere, defines that white is used as the background colour (it may actually be an overlay for the image, with inverse transparency, as opposed to a transparent image over a solid colour.) This may be a registry entry, but it's just as likely hard-coded into the OS. Either way, that is my question.
Thanks for trying to help.
