Closing app holding "back" button - HTC Vox

Is that possible?
I don't want to keep closing apps with task manager, i want to f"#@!ing close the application holding back button, like any other cellphone

Use AE Button Plus. Bind a HW key to terminate the open application. It's $8 for a license and there is a trial.

push and hold registry hack

Hi there,
With the new jog dial button on the Hermes this actually makes the xda usable without the stylus.
One question. Does anyone know how the Push an hold registry works for keys.
Currently the record/speech button has two functions which can be assigned to it eg. "push" and "Push and hold"
The registry settings in HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/shell/keys
have entries 40C1 to 40C7.
Currently I have the task switching functinality programmed onto the comm button but I wouldn"t mind Programming the comm button with a hold functionality for the original comm button functionality. And then having the ok button on hold to actually close programs rather than minimise them.
Ozziede
Push and hold is a software specific implementation by the Voice Recorder app - according to the SDK
Use a button mapper like that by Vito and PocketMax to implement press and hold.

2 shortcuts from one button?

Anyone know of a program that will run two pre-defined shortcuts on the press of a hardware button (e. i want my OK button to both lock the phone with device lock and to turn off the display (display switch).
Many thanks
http://www.omegaone.com/batterypack/pro/default.htm try there Battery Pack Pro gives you power buttons so you can have one button do two things.
i saw that, along with some other programs, but they allow u to use each button as a press and press and hold to launch two programs, what i want is for a single button press to launch both program simultaniously.
You will need to use a program like nScriptm (http://www.s-k-tools.com/util.html) or MortScript (http://www.sto-helit.de/modules/edito/content.php?id=38).
Cheers

How to remap keys ?

Hi
does anyone know how to remap keys, I would like to remap the green call button to list recntly used apps, the one that we get when we long press home key.
Really miss the alt-back key combination of blackberry.
i think a quick key to app switcher will make any device really faster

Click to collapse
Press and hold the 'Home' button and it'll show you the list of the last 6 recently used apps.
thanks,
but i do know the long press home button, or press and hold home key.
I want to remap this function to the green call button instead.
so that i can get to the application switcher in one key stroke instead of pressing and holding

Long press End Key for Task Manager

I want to map the Long press end key to the Taskmanager.
To that end I created a shortcut file Long_End.lnk and placed it in\windows
The content of the file is
42#"Windows\TaskManagerLite.exe"
However, when I long press end key, the phone simply locks instead of calling the taskmanager.
Any ideas what did i do wrong?
go to settings-personal-keys-end key- and there chance to disconect funcion
then instal a AE button plus - this is great soft for mapping buttons
Moved as not software release.
Anybody?? help!!

[Request] Force close upon long press of back button

I'm not sure if this is possible but one thing that I find annoying is when an app freezes and you have to wait a minute or so to get the force close popup to come before you can end the task. I've noticed there's no function assigned when you long press the back button, so I was wondering if it was possible to make an app that would have you force close whatever is on the screen if you long press the back button. Just putting it out there , cheers!
long back is randomly assigned in apps, it's used to access history in the browser for example. I just use power strip then long press on the app that was open and it lets me kill it
