Video - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Here's the first video I shot with my new baby.
Standard settings.
Ahhh. Let me try to attach the file...

Does not play for me, or do I need an MP4 plugin for WMP11?
EDIT Ignore this. Downloading VLC Player.

My neck aches. I am gonna sue you .

OK. Here's another. This time the right way around.
Sorry.

Great quality video for a phone with only 3,2 MP!
And these are just standard settings??

Wow, that quality is pretty amazing!

Can you record a sample at the higest settings?
I hope it dosent jerk the video to much at 30fps.

Reeeeaaaallllyyyy? Where's the link?
this most likely depends on the framerate you are using.
I challenge you to run a divx/xvid video encoded on 25fps (PAL) or 23.97fps (NTSC) or 29fps (NTSC TV) on your polaris.
You will notice the difference
It's crap....

DRIVERS.
No apostrophe needed for a plural. I figured since it's in bright red capitals and included in every post you make, you'd perhaps want to know.

Yeah that's like saying CD's, ROM's, Nobodylikesaknowitall's....
Maybe he meant "driver is not included"
In which case, the apostrophe is perfectly appropriate.

Not really, I understand what you're saying, that it doesn't read well, but it's syntactically correct.

If you're not sure, then why post those specs
With what did you encode the video's and what settings ? Then you should know the framerate.
whats the difference between tcpmp and divx. i have tcpmp and flashvideobundle and my streaming works perfect on youtube clear clean and bright
DivX player
Works fine .. videos (900M file, 664x268, 24 fps, 112kbps) ... very much better than the shipped player

1080P Videos! Post your videos up!

Instead of *****ing and complaining about the **** software in this phone. Post up some sweet 1080P videos you took. I wanna see what this phone can capture!

Not the best video footage but its my first time using the camera and uploading straight to youtube. Pretty good for a damn phone.
(My theory behind the software bugs: THIS PHONE WAS PROBABLY INTENDED TO BE RELEASED WITH 2.3. Just competition and other factors may have pushed the early release. We are guaranteed an update, so just chill out. They probably just threw 2.2 on there to be safe and didnt give it much time for testing. And with CM7 and other stuff on the way why even worry? Go ahead and return the best phone out right now regardless of software bugs. More fun for me! /rant)
Also, can anybody get the embedding to work? The YouTube tags aren't working.

Shot in low light. You can see some artifacts. Not as sharp as a 1080p recording would look like with proper optics, but it is what it is.

Anyone find an app that'll play mkv files (well) on Samsung Infuse 4G?

Seems it's a device by device issue. I have MKV HD videos I had to convert to play on iPhone, but I see some people have had success getting them to play on various android devices, but I can't find any video app that'll play them without being jerky or not having audio.
Thanks

the stock player can play the .mkv wrapper. but not all .mkv's will be compatable there isnt just one .mkv codec. i plan to mess with transcoding some movies and report what works for me. the infuse has similar (better) hardware to the iphone so playback of similar files should be posible, that's not to say there isnt a difference in the os or player that gives the iphone an advantage.
.mkv files work and the built-in video player has full support for even L5.1 High profile 720p h.264 video (5.5Mbps, CABAC). Weirdly enough, I can't get FLAC contained in mkv to play and AAC-LC is a mixed bag (some play, others don't). AC3 works great though; I haven't run into a single failure.
Boo it won't work for me :-(
Download Rockplayer.... Pretty much plays all the files I have ever seen.... Lemme know if that works

OMG! You.... ROCK!!!!!
I downloaded "Lite" and it works fabulous. Only issue is now I can't find the "full" version to buy\download so I don't have the rock app logo on the screen 24\7
I also use rock player, when is vlc releasing their android app? Also I know the infuse screen is big and all, but do you really need an .mkv and HD on such a small screen? I'm sure an xvid encoded movie would look just as good a screen this size and the distance at which you watch it.

No, don't need the HD-ness, it's more of the fact that I download them for my WDTV live HD as MKV and it'd be nice to have a player that I can play them without having to mess with converting them.

Nice, just saw that. yikes, TEN BUX for a video player app? Maybe I'll stick with the lite version. $1.99 seems more in line for what it does, hehe

No problems for me so far... plays everything I throw at it without issues so far.. including mkv files.
Moboplayer (ARMv7-Neon optimizations) is quite good, even in software decoding mode. Seeking can get noticeably laggy but overall it's a good experience, at least coming from Rockplayer and mVideoPlayer. Subtitles and audio (including FLAC) work well most of the time in hardware accelerated mode and software decoding is not bad for a single core 1.2GHz phone.

Yeah, every paid app in the market is a "donation" but they're usually more in line with the features and development cost of the app.

[Q] 1080p mkv file

How can i watch mkv file in 1080p?
***The last time they asked was in may sooo....***
1. play the file on a recent computer.
2. buy the transformer prime when it comes out
tf101 can't handle 1080p as far as i understand.
Or convert the video to a 1080p lower profile - then it can handle it.

The display is 1280*800 so 1080p is pointless, however ... give BSPlayer a try as it handles 720p fine for me.

How come I did not find this player earlier? I tried several other media players that claimed to use hardware acceleration, but neither of them played even 480p mkvs smoothly. Thanks a lot, now I can finally watch my favorite anime shows without the need to reencode them.

It just means that the display hasnt got the 1080pixels the video is offering, if its playing a 1080p movie it downscales it to 720 then pumps out an upscale to 1080 ... kinda pointless

[Q][APP] hyperlapse like Instagram APP?

Anybody knows a good app for hyperlapse until the instagram's official one comes out?
Are you looking for a timelapse app? Or do you actually want to be taking a video? I sometimes use Droid Timelapse. It works fairly well. You just set it somewhere and it can take a picture every X amount of seconds. It then automatically puts it together into one video.

From what i know hyperlapse is not timelapse. Hyperlapse is recording video and playing it fast-foward. While timelapse is taking picture every x seconds and process those images to become a video..
