Backlit Automatic Brightness - Touch Cruise General

Hello,
It is pretty annoying to adjust the Brightness of the Touch Cruise.
Is there a Program that adjust the Brightness automatically?
Or maybe by a Day / Night Schedule.
Or at least toggling the brightness by pushing a button (camera for example).

Maybe you deleted the icon from your launcher tab, but there is a shortcut you can add back that'll cycle through 4 different brighness levels. I don't see this as an option for actual assignment to a hardware button though...

There are applications out there that allow you to map brightness control to a button. MVBacklight or something like that. Try searching in the forums you'll find it.

Maybe combine it with those apps from tytnguy which are
able to start/toggle command line apps by cell location and/or
scheduled. But I think its a bit tricky...

Always visible clock

Hi all,
it's been several days since I've started looking for some way how to make my Wings show clock while the backlight is off. I use a Smarttoolkit app, which is very usefull and handy. It has an automatic keylocker with a clock screensaver. I used to forget about the watches, so I would really appreciate this function..
Now the question (to which I haven't still been able to find the answer) is, whether:
1a) it is possible to make the phone to show anything (clock) while the backlight is off
and
1b) is there any app which provides this feature (free or paid)
or
2) is there a possibility to make Smarttoolkit not to switch the backlight off (even if in win control panel is the backlight set to indefinite). This solution would be of course worse but better than nothing.
Thanks for any tips!

Short cut to backlight setting + change parameters of the automatic baclight ajustmen

Hi evey one,
I'm looing for a way to launch from 1 shortcut (in manilla) the backlight setting to ajust manually the level without going through "parameters" "display" "backlight setting".
Also, I find the brightness to high in the dark and too low in the light, is there any cab to amend the coeficient "outside light"/"backlight setting"?
Try this...I made it the other day works perfect for me. Just change .txt extention to .lnk tranfer it to your memory card, then copy to windows/startmenu/programs. Will give you a nice icon also. Takes you right to Manila backlight settings.
Great, it works very well! How did you find that?
Is there any chance someone could answer the second question: How to modify the coeficient of the brightness versus backlight setting so in automatic mode, the screen is less agressive to my eyes when I reading in the dark!

[Q] Live Toggle Tiles

The ability to toggle things on and off from the home screen have always been important to me. This is something I feel is major that WP7 doesn't have. I am looking for the ability to have a toggle switch to turn Wifi, bluetooth, airplane mode, and other similar things on and off from the home screen. In searching the closest thing I could find is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7238403&highlight=toggle+switch#post7238403
If anyone knows about development of toggle switches or know if they are coming in the update that would be great. Thanks in advance.
Try attached file this contain toogle for.
airplane mode
wifi settings
bluetooth
data connection
location
Are these supposed to be toggle switches for the home screen or just open then settings for each individual application? For me this is taking it from three steps to turn Wifi on and off of only two steps. Thank you for the reply, and I absolutely love your registry thread, but I don't think this is what I am looking for. Please let me know if I am wrong.

I would like to see them in metro style. Simple white icons without the 3d effect.

No problem. You can do it yourself.
1. Rename the .xap file to .zip
2. Unzip the file
3. Open the unzipped folder
4. Replace the application and background icons with the icons of your choice (same size)
5. Zip all files again
6. Rename the new .zip file to .xap
7. Deploy
Personally I use Dinik Anastasia icons because on OMNIA 7 they look much better than the metro icons...
here are some to http://forum.touchxperience.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=591
edit: XBmod posted the same .
Not Switches
Once you go to settings and set each of these application you do not need a button on the home screen to get back to each individual setting. This is a waist of space for a home screen that is supposed to be clean. The switch would just turn it on and off from the home screen. I am not looking for a shortcut (and I know what one is), I am hoping to find someone working one toggle switches for the home screen.
What it would need to be is a program that runs a live tile. When the particular tile is clicked on the home screen it would have the program switch that particular connection on or off.
The look of the tile doesn't matter unless it is a useful tile.

better than this you don't get for the moment
I figured this when I searched and searched and couldn't find anything. I am hoping to spur somebody into working one this, or finding someone that already is. I was also hoping to find out if Microsoft was thinking about this.
What I would love is a one tap shortcut to 1 page with all the toggles. So instead of me going to setting- wifi - on I could go settings -on , this would apply for bluetooth, location, brightness, etc.
I swore I saw this app posted somewhere but so far all i could find are the individual app shortcuts.
PS If you're like me and actually use voice control all the time, I actually installed the wifi and location shortcuts but didn't pin them to the home screen I simple hold down the start button and say "Open Wifi" works like a charm!
I'm also waiting for a toggle feature. In fact its the only reason I haven't purchased a WP7 device yet.
As soon as there's an easy way to toggle data on/off I'm buying the HD7.
take a look .

The OP said 3 or 4 times that he doesn't want to have that, lucmar! And if you would read the first page you would see exactly that! He wants to have a toggle to switch it on/off! Is reading a post that hard?
Personally the live toggle tiles are a waste of space. My idea is to have the toggles in the menu bar that pops up when you press the volume buttons.
So you press the volume buttons, the menu pops up, you swipe left or right (same you get rid of notifications) and it brings up another part of the menu bar with access to all the common toggles.
The main advanage of this is that you can access the toggles from anywhere as the volume bar is OS wide so you don't have to quit your app/game to access the toggles unlike if you have live tiles.
This is a great idea and would be nice as an overall experience. This would take a lot of programming, and at the rate Microsoft is coming out with updates, this would not be done for another 2 or 3 years. That is why I can asking for a very simple program that turns on and off settings and has a toggle switch when pinned to the home screen. This would only take a day or two by an experience programmer. Anyone?

Well I don't know if MS reads this forum or if anyone at xda is even working on this.
That's actually a great idea. To swipe the volume bar to get comm manager toggles. Clean and simple

[Q] Tasker - create widget to display screen brightness slider?

On the Tasker user guide page, a screen brightness slider is called up via a widget. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to do this. I know I can create a task that does a Query Action for Screen Brightness. However, when I run this task, a bunch of other Tasker related items are brought up along with the brightness slider. Is there a way to just access the brightness slider?
For posterity:
Tasker -> Query Action
within the Query Action's optional "Action" field put "Display Brightness"
To answer your question, no, you get all the other functions too. You're looking at an old Tasker screen shot there

May have found a solution for screen flickering at lower brightness

There is this app, which I do not own or have any affiliations with, that acts sort of like a filter that lowers the screen brightness instead of actually lowering it. I haven't really tested it fully, but it works perfectly on my s7 Edge.
And the best part is: there is no root required
All you have to do is to install the app, go to Settings - Accessibilty - Installed services - screen dimmer, and turn it on.
Just make sure that your actual brightness is at 100%, and you can change the brightness within the app, or with the shortcut in the notification bar.
Here is a link to the app:
