Hello all,
I am syncing my polaris to outlook 2007. I have heaps of contacts in outlook but most are for e-mail only and as I do not send many e-mails from the polaris I do not want the contacts for these people on my phone. how do I stop the phone from getting these contacts from outlook. is short i do not want all of my outlook contacts on my phone. I have found heaps of people where not all their contacts will sync so it must be possible.

Before I got my WinMo phone I had all my email accounts in outlook, along with my contacts and calendar. I consolidated all of my email accounts into my gmail account. Imported all of my contacts and calendar entries.
I downloaded my emails to my phone through an IMAP connection, I sync my calendar entries between the phone and gmail. Is there a way I can sync my contacts from my phone to gmail without going through outlook on my computer?
I want to eliminate the middle man (my computer) in all the syncing so all of my stuff is available through my phone or gmail so that way if i'm at a friends and don't have my phone or computer I can still access information if need be.
With the contacts, in case its not clear enough, I synced all my contacts from outlook to my phone when I got it. I then imported all of my contacts from outlook into gmail. Now I get a call on my phone and then add that number as a new contact. How do I sync that new number into gmail without going through outlook?

I was searching syncing gmail contacts windows mobile instead of pocketpc and gsync wasn't coming up on my search. Ill have to give it a try later. OGG Sync says it does contacts but the only thing I can find on it is calendar.

Gsync doesn't sync contacts from the phone to google. Somebody has to be doing this?

Is paid service ($50/yr) but is by far the best I've ever used. Will sync your contacts and calendar with device/outlook/google/yahoo etc. I also use rememberthemilk to sync taks online, and Live Mesh for files and photos. Using Linux as a main OS forces you to find all the best-of-breed non-MS solutions, it's entirely possible to ditch outlook and still have 100% functionality replaced with online cloud services.

I just realized that my outlook contacts do not contain all the contacts I have on my phone. All the contacts in my phone that don't have an email address set are not synced with my outlook contacts... why is that? As soon as I enter an email address in the contact in my phone, it will appear on my outlook contacts at next sync...
I have an HTC Touch with WM 6.1, SBP Shell and Vista WMDC...
Anyone can help?

Hey everyone, I am sorry if this has been brought up a million times but I can't figure it out and I am getting frustrated. So forgive me if the thread angers you.
I have decided that I will start syncing my e-mail with outlook rather than setting up accounts individually every time i flash my ROM. So when I start up WMDC for the first time after a flash I tell it to sync Calendar, Contacts, Notes, and now E-mail. It syncs everything just fine but the Outlook e-mail on my phone is useless because it doesn't actually Send/Receive anything. It just has the e-mails that were on my computer. Is there any way to set it up so that when I sync my phone to WMDC it will automatically set it up where my e-mails with go to my phone?

I use to sync my WM6.5 with Outlook 2007 through Active Sync and XP.
One day after a sync session, HTC Calendar stopped showing birthdays stored in HTC Contacts, and also Outlook 2007 Calendar has no track of them, but Contacts app still have retained all birthday informations.
How can i re-sync (Outlook and/or HTC) Calendar forcing it to track my Contacts birthdays?
I've googled and only found this link http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/commandlineswitches.htm and triedthe /cleanreminders option but did nothing...

I'm new to Android and I want to use my Microsoft Account (Outlook.com) where I have my emails and contacts. I installed at first the Outlook app and the emails and calendar where synced perfectly. But my contacts are empty. I also add a MS Exchange ActiveSync Account but it doesn't help. I also checked if the outlook app has the permission for contact and it does.
Any idea or help how I can sync my outlook contacts with my Samsung S8?
