My HTC Polaris wakes up when I softly touch its ring manipulator (it has almost no threshold). So I would like to stop that buttons from waking up the whole phone.
Is disabling the hw buttons completely the only way to solve my problem?
If yes, Is there a way to disable those hardware buttons without recompiling the kernel? What should I change in kernel, if there is no way?
how do I disable certain hardware buttons?
At least so, that it doesn't wake up backlight ...
On my WM6.5 Samsung Jack (SGH-i637), when I enable Device Lock, holding the "phone down" key invokes Device Lock instead of Keypad Lock.
I can find no way to have both locks active at the same time. Device Lock keeps turning on the screen if any key is jostled in my pocket. Is there any way to have both?

Is there any way to keep the native Password Unlock Screen while disabling the Lockscreen itself?
Further, is there a hardware key remapping program for double, triple and long press keys?
Thanks for any help.
Cheers.
Since Nokia 3 has good old 3 capacitive buttons for navigation. Is there something called 'always active capacitive buttons' since everyone knows that capacitive buttons doesn't work after the screen is off.Can Nokia make it work even after the screen is locked?
If they can they should integrate double tap the home capacitive button to wake up or lock the screen and for the unlock screen feature Nokia should let users to set 3 combination lock system for the capacitive buttons. And when the users taps the capacitive buttons in correct order the screen unlocks. They could also use swipe system in capacitive button if that's possible.
