On my WM6.5 Samsung Jack (SGH-i637), when I enable Device Lock, holding the "phone down" key invokes Device Lock instead of Keypad Lock.
I can find no way to have both locks active at the same time. Device Lock keeps turning on the screen if any key is jostled in my pocket. Is there any way to have both?

i was wondering if there was any way to remap the power button on the fuze to run throttle lock. I want to be able to have throttle lock run when i hit the power button and have the phone go into sleep mode. i tried AEbutton but it does not have the power button. I tried looking in the registries and stuff and could not find anything. i also did a search and could not find anything but i did find an option in the diamond tweak that runs device lock when ur screen goes into sleep mode. So i was wondering if that is possible can we change the standard device lock registry that comes with the phone to run something like organic lock or throttle lock? but i only want throttle lock to work when i press the button because i hate it when i am in a call and my device throttle locks i have to enter the pattern and unlock and then i can access anything like the keypad and stuff and that is just annoying when you are in a call. Thanks
bump i guess its not possible if there haven't been any responses so far.
If someone is interested:
I had an issue with AEButton+ and the Device lock as the green/red buttons are not locked. As my green button turns by multiple clicking WiFi on/off and BT on/of my TouchPro kept turning WiFi/BT on/off in my pocket (if the power button was pressed so the screen is actually on but device locked) and for some reason - see below - the buttons aren't locked at all.
So here is the registry key to lock all the buttons:
Anyone who wants to act the keylock as the device lock:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\KeyLock]
"SameAsDeviceLock"=dword:00000001
Seems that it doesnt work that way either
So I'm looking for a Lock Screen program that will fit my needs and so far I've come up very blank...
Here are my needs:
1. Lock the screen when I hit the power button.
2. Prevent the phone from powering off when holding down the End Key when the device is locked.
My device is a Touch Pro 2. The built in Lock screen works great at preventing a power down, but it doesn't lock when I press the power button.
Most of the replacement programs S2U2, PocketShield, TouchLockPro, LockMeLite... they all lock when I hit the power button but they don't prevent powering off when holding down the End Key. S2U2 is supposed to have a setting that will lock this but it doesn't work.
So, any recommendations?
Okay, I found a program (see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649695&highlight=lock) that makes the default lock screen show up whenever the system goes into stand by.
Is there any way, when using the default windows lock program that comes with the Verizon Wireless Touch Pro2, to make the phone lock when pressing the power button on top?
I'm struggling to find a program that will prevent my phone from powering down when I have it in my belt holster. Most of the replacement programs out there do NOT prevent the phone from turning off by holding down the end key when the screen is locked. The only lock program that I found that can is the default lock program. But that won't automatically lock the phone when I press the power button on top. It will only lock if it tap the 'lock' soft key.
Any suggestions?
Found my solution! A little program that causes the lock to happen whenever the phone goes into standby.

hi
i had a question re locking and unlocking the screen. At the moment i press power button to lock the screen. then to unlock i press power button to wake up the screen and then move the onscreen ring to unlock the phone.
My previous phone was xperia arc s and had three hard buttons on the bottom which i would press to wake up the screen. I quite miss that, especially for unlocking the phone.
any alternatives other than to always keep the screen awake!

"Screen off and lock" for turning it off. Works very good.
For turning it on I've seen a few apps that use the proximity sensor (i.e. put the phone with the screen against the table and it switches off, pick it up and it switches on). Not a great battery drain, but I don't know if leaving the proximity sensor always on could damage it...
Some ROMs have a setting for waking the screen with the volume rocker, and there are also a couple of kernels that have "sweep to wake". Thats where you sweep your finger across the soft keys at the bottom of the phone, from one side to the other. Other than those two thing thats about it for alternative ways to wake the screen.
