Ok..... I will not flame him.
If you are wanting MUCH better performance from your tilt, I would urge you to try a few ROMS. I would tell you to first try either L26's V9 rom or ROMeOS V4.1. Both are VERY fast, stable and have great support from their authors. Your current rom will have about half of the free ram than a cooked rom, making the cooked roms MUCH faster. Read through the WIKI files to figure out how to flash, and search for "ultimate Radio" to read on different radios. My best advice is to try a rom and radio for a day, and switch to another to judge. READ to get results.

it changes wildly between roms. its can also change between type of action your doing. most tend to be faster. some are around same speed but have more features.
If youre after speed id recommend the ROMceos 4.1 rom. its very quick and supports the d3d drivers very well.

<Reverse Psychology>
Cooked Roms are not faster than Stock Roms. Don't listen to those people.
Also, don't search of read the thread of a cooked Rom to see how many people say, "Damn this is a wicked fast Rom, faster then anything I've ever tried.
Don't do either of those, because then you would be able to figure things out for yourself, and no one wants that.

If its carbon fiber anything you get like +3 mph!
http://howto.thetunafish.com/?p=21

My tilt has a Z-Rated rubber case, but I never get it over 80 anymore...

compared to stock wm 6.0, it's about 1.5x faster on the interface responsiveness.

Yeah I rem that car.. it was featured on Top Gear. It smoked the Veyron.

I am a fan of hyperdragon III rom.
Also this is my first post so that should tell you something. Try the ROM if you dont like it try another. I went through a few roms just to go back to ATT stock one. Did a little searching and ready some reviews on hyper dragon's rom and it is crazy fast.
All these people are correct. The info is out there just need to find it or just try it for yourself when you have some spare time. I found it easier to just try the dang roms than searching for everyone opinion.

WOW!!! Is this your current ROM in your sig?? I assume I need to hunt down HTCGroundEffects0.0.0.11.cab.
Seriously, this is eskimo's second attempt at a thread on this topic. I think if you are < 5 posts there should be warning and flashing lights and beeping sounds around your "start a thread" box.

I'm new to trying cooked ROMs - I've used a few of L26's Roms, currently on V9. It may be a little bit snappier than my stock T-mobile WM6 rom, but the real benefits to flashing I've found are the interface optimisations & WM6.1 updates. It was well worth flashing, but in terms of speed, there was no significant improvement.
When/if 2D accelerated drivers are made, there may be real performance gains to be had when it comes to the snappiness of the interface. Have a play around, try a few roms and see what feels best to you.

LOL, very true my friend, very true.
so before the topic's closed let's rant: try it for yourself and don't brick your phone, and remember to do your homework before flashing.

This is a matter of deciding what is better:-
Speed Vs Stability
Extras Vs Memory
Performance Vs Power comsumption
I would try a few roms but i have had problems with everyone ive tried- IE freezing. locking up, missing icons and general performance problems and missing features.
what ever rom you use will have problems but speed doesnt mean stable, find a stable rom before choosing high performance.
I use 6.1 O2 rom which has served me fine apart from the sluggish display which is caused by HTC video drivers missing.
On the Tytn1 i used Shaps 6 roms, but he doesnt seem to support Kaiser yet.

being on topic here, do you have the correct hardspl version? It is known if you have the wrong SPL version, it will cause lags.

thanks in advanced
6.1 if we can get official
Wow great news
Let me be the first to tell you that I loved your Hermes and Wizard ROM's used them both when I had those devices.
The way the current trend is going it seems that WM6.1 ROM's are more in development than WM6 ROM's. However there are some really nice base WM6 ROM's.
Being that UC has been compliant in almost every ROM I trully feel a lite version is the way to go. This way users can customize the ROM's as they see fit.
I know there is a lot of users that like the full ROM's with all of the app's built into it. Cube + HTC Home for example.
Honestly any ROM that you put out would be a blessing and I look forward to it.
So to sum it up I think a lite and full version based on either the 19716 build or the 19199 build would be the best of both worlds
WM6.1
and plz make sure it will work without spent too much time finding the solution to make it work. Thanks to coming to kaiser forumn.
You should include a lot of registry tweaks, and UI customizations to make it stand out most. Also, lite, medium, and maximum versions, so people can choose. Also, WM6 and WM6.1 so there are more options.

What AlltheWay said. Summed it up nicely
Hi, it’s right
This it great news…
Welcome aboard to Kaiser section.
Maybe build 19199 (In my personal use it’s been not the fastest but the most stable and with excellent battery life).
Austinsiync will start to cook with the new 3.10 rom but with .dlls from the 3.08 rom (he claims that the graphics on the 3.10 are super fast) - this sounds good idea too...
Good luck
cheers

The 3.08 vodaphone build is the 19199. I believe this build gives the best battery life of any ROM, however it is not the fastest one. I think the 19716 build (beta WM6.1) and the official 3.02 build are the 1st and seconds fastest builds respectively. So really its a matter opinion on which one you want to use. One with speed and one with battery life. I also think after my initial bad feelings about the 3.10 test wm6.1 ROM there might be some real potential there. Or you could be true chefs and combine drivers from different builds

19716 build
I would apprecaite a ROM based on this build, which is the latest of the 3.
This is the only one with which some important applications like igo and skype work..
So far ROMS based on this build have been good but we have not seen the best one yet I feel..

Loved your Wizard ROMS!
For what its worth, there are a lot of common bugs that have fixes that always seem to be correctable after the fact. Not being a chef, I can't say that they are avoidable, but it would be nice if those recently discovered tweaks, reg edits and add ons are incorporated to have a sort of "flash and go" ROM. There will always be issues, but it seems that many are common and could be fixed in an initial release. I have noticed a slow down of the releases and I think it is because there is a lot more beta testing going on to resolve many of the common issues which I think is great. That being said, I'd just ask that you take your time and work through it.
As a request, a 6.1 ROM UC compliant ROM with speed and stability as the focus, possibly optimized for video. The fastest camera possible as well as HTC customizer and SLUS incorporated into it would be great. A cube/no cube version would be good, but would love to see one of the not so common cubes. Also, one fully loaded (we have so much memory the sky's the limit) and one bare bones (for those who like to start from scratch) would be nice. I'm an at&t user, and it would be nice to see one configured for at&t users as well, but low on the list of needs.
To eliminate the constant barrage of people with radio "issues" (i.e. not having a compatible radio), incorporating one that has been tested and works well with the particular ROM would be nice. Those with radio preferences can always flash/reflash their own preference, but at least we won't get, "I have no sound" posts from the first time flashers. Plus, if there is one that through testing seems to be the best in your opinion, you would be putting out the best optimized ROM that you can.
Wow, this was going to be a short post, but it took on a life of its own. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be quality stuff. Good luck and keep us updated. No rush. Quality first.
Build 19716 for sure!
Base on wm6.1 on 19716 build and have shogun's palm threaded app cooked in. So much better than the standard sms/mms that comes with wm6.1 and arc! People on here and myself love dutty's black and red theme, dialers, action screen, etc. That would be cool if dutty doesnt get mad. Add schap's long press power key program and of course the red end key program, colored versions, the black and white stock versions are nasty! Thanks!!!
Great to see you work in Kaiser "Its Right", I like the 19716 build and whatever ATW has mentioned above.

[Q] ROMS

Hey all I'm currently running Core Droid on my inspire 4G and was wondering which ROM is best to use? What does everybody prefer, and which is the most customizable.
Another question is can anyone port the Liquid Metal rom to this phone from the G2/Desire Z section?
Every ones going to say cm7 but it just personal Preference.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
I've tried a few (including CM7), but kept going back to RCMix 5.9.x because it just works, it's fast, and it's very close to stock. A lot will also depend on if you want a 'vanilla' Android experience, or a build with HTC Sense.
If you think you're going to be experimenting with ROMs, I'd urge you to buy Titanium Backup pro. Well worth the money, it hasn't failed me yet.
I have used CoreDroid 5.4 and thought it was very stable currently i am running the inspired saga v1.1 and not only is it stable it is rocking fast and not even oc'd

There is no "best rom" and the rest of those questions are highly subjective.
I'm going to say CM7 because it's awesome and AOSP based, but right now I'm using Inspired Saga and it is pretty awesome.

As far as ROMs go I really enjoyed CoreDroid but yet I keep coming back to CM7. I just really love the AOSP/vanilla Android experience.
Also whoever mentioned Titanium Backup Pro earlier was spot on it is a MUST have if you flash to different ROMs a lot!

/obligatory "it's a matter of preference" statement./
Personally, I used CM7 for the first month that I had the phone, then I found Ultimate Droid and have been running that since. It has some known bugs (camera FC when you try to apply a color filter) but overall, it's probably the quickest and smoothest rom I've flashed. Then again, I don't care for the Sense UI; so take my opinion for what it's worth.

You're asking too much. I'll answer appropriately.
Most stable stock ROM?
Probably xboarder56's Tweaked OTA 2.3.3 1.2.2 ROM or faux123's EaglesBlood 2.3.3 on a stock kernel. faux123's stock kernel is way too buggy.
If you want my opinion though, I believe at this point the CM7 nightlies are very stable and have no problem using them as a daily driver.
Fastest ROM?
That's relative to OCing and tweaks. No "real" answer to that.
If you're on 2.3.3. already, SuperOneClick will not work. You'll need to install the CWM recovery and flash a rooted ROM.
ROM Toolbox works fine.
I've seen the same answer to this question time and time again - Find out for yourself what the "best" rom is.
I tried almost all of them, with almost every available kernel, and I decided Weapon G2x with faux's oc/uv kernel is the best combo FOR ME.
This does not, in any way, infer that it will be the best one for you. Do your research, and find out for yourself.
Oh jeez I thought this was the Q&A section on a forums, where you can post threads to ask questions... I didn't know it was the "do a search" replies section. Seriously don't bother posting at all if you only got "do a search" response, thank you very much.
Dude you really got to try a couple. Its the only way. I have tried a lot of them but now I use cm latest stable. Its stable and fast.
You can try new kernals but really the speed isn't that great to notice maybe in benchmarks but that's it!
For true stable and fully functional and pretty fast I would say x's tweaked ota version. It will use your internal SD card by default and everything works.
sent from my anti IPhone device
The real answer is the rom from LG is stock. Any others modified or tweaked are not STOCK.

Maybe you just need to learn how to read. I didn't see anybody tell you to do a search.
I did see some people share their experience in an area you had a question about, that doesn't have a pat answer. "Best" is subjective. I told you what is best for me. Some other users told you what's best for them. We can't tell you what's best for you. You need to find that out for yourself.
If you want lean, fast and stable my two new roms are an excellent choice.

If you would understand what you are reading, you would see that I wanted to do a POSITIVE REVIEW on his roms. I am an aspiring writer looking for good stories. Yes, I did swoop in, that's why I like the man. He's not afraid to help and self promote at the same time. So, jboxer, if you read this I'm sorry if I came across disrespectful, it was not my intention. It sucks there are so many people willing to start bs and few to help. We were all noobs at one point, I never forgot that.
Lastly, if you really know how to read, I write for ACS. I have never heard of asc neither. To answer the original question and get back on subject, I run Eaglesblood 2.4 with Dragon kernel 1.5.2. If this forum would let me upload pics, I'd post my antutu benchmark of 6797, JUST in case someone wants to call me out on my signature.

Personally my favorite rom is Weapon.
It's stock based
Great battery life
Great Performance
Finely tweaked
No issues
Great out of the box experience

Preferred ICS ROM and why

I just updated my firmware and installed my first ICS ROM, i'm interested to know others opinions on why you chose the ROM you did and why you are still running it. Please share. Thanks
Trips CM9. It's proven to be quite stable in my use, good battery life, everything works smoothly. I'm perfectly happy with it.
..everything except camera recording, bluetooth and whatnot.. Alpha quality.
OpenSensation (or something..) because I hate trip, Vquattro stopped and sense sucks.
was using trips cm9 really liked it, fast and stable but just couldn't get mms working so i've gone to insertcoin with shinzlons aosp theme
ARHD 6.2.1 + Rom Cleaner + Shnizlon AOSP Theme. Stable, reasonably fast, good looking. But I'm keeping an eye om the OpenSensation dev thread

I don't use those, which, if you had read my post, is why I said that I am nevertheless perfectly happy with it. Why don't you angsty anti-trip pricks find something better to do than troll in any thread in which his name is mentioned? Lots of people like and use his rom. Deal with it, angry assholes.

None of us have showed hatred towards him. Calm your tits.
I'm using ARHD 6.2.1 but am only using this because it seemed to be the most stable with the features I wanted. However, I am seriously considering VI.
I'd love to install a fully stable CM9, though.
Legends Blitz 5 (nosense) or VI 3.0...because they rock...try a few! Happy Flashing!!
I used almost every ICS rom,and i am now on ARHD 6.2.1,virtuos inquisition is really great rom but after some time it become so laggy,i dont have that kind of problem with sense roms and they look pretty.
When trip solve bluetooth and camera recording i will flash cm9,until then im stuck with these one
Honestly can't go past the Elegancia Rom...IMV I think it is superior to anything I have used before - by a long shot.
I've been on baadnewz's InsertCoin 4.5.4 for the last couple of days and I love it. It was as though the ROM search had done a full circle. The big ass sense flip clock on the home screen of the stock ROM was probably the catalyst that triggered it all. "Dang, could this be the reason for my battery drain?" And so it began, the quest for the perfect Rom. The de-sensed versions were all tried out. They were stable - most of them - but they didn't show incoming calls on the lockscreen. They looked washed out on the sensation screen; maybe it's just me, but AOSP did seem " blurry" on the sensation.
Finally, sense prevailed. I put InsertCoin on, and sure enough, the big ass flip clock appeared bang in the middle of the homescreen. The battery life wasn't that pleasing either. But then, baadnewz had mentioned in his thread to be patient for a couple of charge cycles. Sure enough, today I've not charged my phone, and it's been cruising for the last 8 hours with 30% battery remaining. I've a hunch it'll get better.
I got the sense 4 golden wallpaper, and it looks beautiful.
And the big ass flip clock? Well, I replaced it with the smaller flip clock that has the weather to the right of it.
God bless the ROM developers that are working to make the Sensation a better user experience.

P.S.: The Sense 3.6 email client has the same deficiencies that Sense 3 had. It doesn't support push mail from corporate servers, and the inbox gets only plain text email. The Cyanogenmod email client can be installed, and it is a joy to hear the "clink" when email comes through, and to see them formatted the way they were sent. Baadnewz and the others - are you listening? This could/should be baked into future ROM releases.

what i like with ics insertcoin rom is that it is really fast, compared of course from the other roms i tried before. the smoothness really impressed me from the start and that up to now it still have not received any reboots or even htc fc's, granted i have only been using it for 2 days but i'm just really happy about it. i have really no issue with the battery since its always plugged in usb even when at home.

Your post suggests everything works. Guy steps in and points out that not everything works and you attack him. I see no troll like qualities in his post. Any ROM with non functioning hardware is alpha quality and this is no insult to the dev just a fact. Peace.
I'm enjoying insert coin ROM 4.5.0, along with the leedroid tweaks lite mod. No reason other than it works and baad is quite an active dev. Gonna update version soon but baad releases so often I can't be bothered flashing new ROM for relatively small changes every second day. Every couple of weeks will do me.

stock UCLB3 > any other ROM

With stock ROM I get:
• 2-3 day battery life
• All apps work
• Strongest signal
• 100% working wifi
• fastest overall, zero load time for almost everything
• and finally I don't need to install gapps or anything
With any other ROM I get:
• Possibly 1 day battery life
• Orgasm if I get any signal at all
• Wifi works completely on one in a billion roms, flaky on most
• Bluetooth rarely works
• No fix for any issues on ROMs that don't have major devs working on them
• Some apps don't work, and on a few ROMs some apps even kill the system and make it hot reboot
• Lag like it's a 3-year-old donut phone with the processor speed of a retarded potato with AIDS
• some need gapps, which is annoying to re-install every time you update, which also, you have to do every few days instead of once a year
So my conclusion is that screw custom ROMs. It might just be my device but that's how it plays out. I'll be much more careful to buy a phone that will have real support in the future, like the SGS II, Captivate, and SGS III do/will have.
Oh yeah and about my sig, that is the only ROM that I've gotten close to working 100%. And he's not a gtg, but he's got more support than big devs like that ever did, so if you're a sheep and need to use custom ROMs go with MoM.

I apologize, but I strongly detest the statement. I do respect every bit of what you have said, but I really do think that it is just a matter of personal use.
I have ran Aeon and other amazing custom ROMs and so far the best I have tried was Zeus 6. There are a few kinks, but hey-- it works!
Consequently, though, it's all a matter of personal preference. Some people prefer the debloated stock and customize it their own (i.e., build.prop tweaks, etc).
What I am getting at here is that there is no need to bash other custom ROMs. Although you did not point your finger on any specific one, but it really means a lot for people to like the developers' work. It's an Android Device... This is the main reason we got this: open source.

I didn't really say anything bad about any specific ROM. Only specific ROM I mentioned is MoM and it was only to say something good.

I get the opposite results of u bro... my lag on stock is sooo bad that I was about to throw my phone on the ground as hard as I could. Ics with some tweaks was awesome, jellybean should be really good if it ever comes. Now on my tablet stock on that is pretty good, with aosp it would fly though.
Trolling like this is unproductive and is intended only to offend those who contribute to this device. My vote is that someone close this thread, and that wayzata start keeping his opinions of devs to himself.
Make sure you zip it up, this is going to be one of those threads, chief haha

Plus, I agree with ryanscool, any time I have to use stock B3, everything is laggy. Personally, I think that Sammy just did such a crappy job on official GB and used halfass or dirty fixes to make it work. So when ppl try to mod, the crappiness comes out...
There are tons of work being done on the Infuse and I was here when ppl said development was dead; you gotta appreciate what's here man.
My advice Way, stay with stock and stop these random threads broskie

Well Jscott, I don't think we are going to change anyone's stance on the matter, I mean, after all we are just "unpopular devs." What do we know. lol

Cute how it's all butthurt devs taking offense to something I didn't even imply, let alone say directly.

I honestly don't see any xda recognized developers replying to your posts. They most likely have better things to do. I'm no dev, and haven't claimed to be. I'm not mad or even remotely upset, but I do think that you're being a troll. It irritates me enough that you're one of the few people that I'll ever choose to ignore on this site - and I must say, for me, that takes a lot, so congratulations on that.
By the way, here's what you've said directly, and it implies plenty to justify people being irritated with your trolling.:

Anyone still using this? I'm using it as a last option because no custom ROMs seem to be working as fully as this. ICS has a ton of bugs, and modified GB ROMs are made by unpopular devs with little bug support.

Custom Roms are not for everyone so if you prefer a stock rom then go for it.
