I think besides a vote, a mini-review will be helpful.
I'll start with what I have tried:
1) RUU_Prophet_G3_2151327_AKU23_023021_P16MB_PDAMobiz_v2307 (not in this list)
Plenty of extra software. Some useful, some not. A matter of individual preference. Speed overclocked by default, but can easily be reverted. Pretty stable, a minor glitch when opening word files, pword opens and closes. Another tap would then open the file. (could be due to my device and not the ROM itself). Speed is OK, can't really say it's faster than the official 2.15 ROM. My major dislike is the program memory. After installing all my apps such as calligrapher & voice command, I'm left with 14+MB after a soft reset. After opening up more and ore applications, it will go down to 3-4MB very quickly and some of the progs will automatically close. In comparison, this was not so severe when I had the official 2.15 ROM.
2) RUU-Prophet-G3-AKU2.2-2.20-2.47.21-Jester-b1
New OS. Feels faster than the PDAMobiz ROM even though this is standard 12MB pagepool. No extra software. Stable. No issues so far, but I've only been using it for several days now.
Next to try: LvsW Edition: RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721 (AKU2.3)
If anyone like to compile their reviews in this thread, it'll definitely help lots of people.

You should test all of them if you want to get relaiable results. Otherwise people will only choose the ROM they are currently using, whitout ever touching they other ROM's
For this you should create some kind of performance test procedure.
If you can make this reliaable then you might use it as a standard in the PPC world Since I havn't seen any test procedure to test performance of different ROM's.
I've seen benchmark results, but they were compared to WM2003 devices. So you should have one made just for OMap processors. Then you also have the issue between the results and "daily use", like menu speed etc.
Maybe we can set up some kind of procedure here on XDA DEVELOPERS?

I've been confident over the years to rom-cooking and tweaking devices (long live my old hima) but with so many bugs in the Prophet's roms, even the official ones! it's hard to reccommend actually those "beta" versions, each with it's own set of bugs.
Actually we are forced to choose from the set of bugs you can live with! USB not charging, BT Active Sync profile dissapearing, Slooowww performance, undocumented Registry limits, (Contast size for instance) and so on.
So my vote was on the "official" Qtek rom, at least until I can cook my own ROM and have control over what I drop on my Prophet.
Anyway, impressive work from jesterz, lvsw, the pdamobiz guys and the rest of you for giving us all those roms to try and enjoy tweaking, it's somewhat adictive!

I voted for LvSW 2.3, but I'm actually running one of his earlier versions, with the old RadioRom and ExtRom. Things are pretty stable, if slow. I have a G3 version.
Would it be worth my while to upgrade to the current LVSW 2.3.1? Is there a big radio improvement from 2.19 to 2.47.21? Will there be an upgrade to 2.3.1 to fix the frozen input method problem?

This first Beta is pretty heavyweight, as I now need to figure out what can be removed, yet still leave everything working (there are a lot of dependencies between the Diamond packages).
It is a User-Customization compatible ROM with SDAutorun. CABs and XML files, etc, can be included on the SD card. This has been a godsend during testing, since I have been able to automatically install everything I use during first boot.

Good progress, my friend!
But I suppose you need to re-think to consider this dialer unless you're working for VC. This dialer is so buggy and extremely memory hungry. It will consume additional 7mb from your program memory.
I was working on VC based on this dialer. I did some patching of dll's and converted all the BMP's to PNG's. But still the memory consumption is huge!!
The major bug I've identified in ringing. Suddenly your phone would stop ringing for an unknown reason and you can't restore it without a HARD RESET. At least I couldn't discovered any alternatives.

thanks for the info - looks like this could be one of those "two steps back" moments.
I've only had the dialler working for a day, but hadn't had any buggy behaviour. I'll check on the memory usage, but if it's 7MB or so (and I'm sure it will be), then this dialler's out for me since I've only got a 64MB Uni!
I've been using a modified version of the diamond dialler port to Athena (some of the PNGs were wrong and I fixed them)...
[Edit: Memory usage *is* a big problem with the dialler - I hadn't noticed it yesterday. Dialler removed, looking at options...]

At the moment, I'm trying to get a couple of the actual diamond applications working properly - I also don't have as much time to spend on this as I'd hoped, because I've had to travel for work, so I'm not at home as much as I'd like!
If the pace of work continues to be high, I may release a very early beta that just has the CommManager, and Keyboards in & working - that's what I'm running most of the time now on my Uni.
If I get the time this weekend, hopefully there'll be some actual progress on the apps side of things.

I have experimented a lot with this roms, 19209, 19212, 19214.
Mr honkong does great roms " like vista and diamond " 19212 and 214 has everything in use, but 19212 has a battery drain issue, everything works! with an amazing speed but less performance than Mr TNT.
nd 19214 diamond has the fix for battery drain issue but without cube... and IR, i think that without cube cause HTC diamond dont has it, more realistic... i will try this one 19213 rom i hope it has the IR beam fully function, and htc audio manager functional on home, so cube is working usual and over all... batterydrain issue fixed.
Its a pleasure has this roms on XDA cause i cant read japanese on PDA viet forums, jeje.
Thanks to you ghekua! instead a junior member great ideas to aproach to us this info.

G4 must downgrade ROMship and after that upgrade with softSPL v1.0. it's ok

I have been running this ROM for several days and it is quite stable and plenty quick. My problem is I have been unable to install ANY cab files on it? I've seen this behavior before in limited fashion when I'd download one of the latest ROMs and I'd have to download an updated cab file (because otherwise you just get the "installing" dialog and the circle that keeps going around forever without prompting for a location or completing), but with this one none of them work. I am guessing there is a registry, cert, or similar fix that might resolve the issue, but I have no idea where to start.
It would be great if someone could help, because this ROM is otherwise working perfectly for me so far, with none of the weirdness of other ROMs.

4 Germans: The best ROM?

I played around now with nearly each german ROM provided in this forum and thought it would be a nice idea to share my conclusion so far:
My requirements: a rom that is
o reliable
o stable
o fast
o economical
My conclusion:
o Tejaks V5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2348896&postcount=125)
o Radio ROM: 1.65.16.25
I really tried about a dozens radio ROMS / each german ROM and realized that a good number of them seems to suffer from the "battery drain" bug which makes the device unusable for my opinion...
My actual configuration like stated above (ROM and radio ROM) contains around 50 installed 3rd applications and uses only - tadaaa - between 1 (!!!) and 5 mW during standby (measured with battery status). Note: other ROM/Radio ROM combinations used a lot more (from 50mW up to 200mW and even more in standby!) <-- so much for battery usage / economy
For stability: I had NO call disruptions at all (not like with the newer radio ROMS) and got my GPS fixes pretty fast. The ROM never hanged so far.
Skype works! (I dont know any other german WM 6.1 so far)
Igo8 works!
I cant provide a benchmark so far - but this combination gives me the very best feeling related to speed.
No german keyboard bug!
No backlight timeout bug!
No camera bug!
So if you are german and wondering which ROM / Radio ROM you want to use - give this one a chance!
(PS: This is just my very personal impression of the avaliable ROMS... I give all my respect to ALL of the cooks - you all do very valuable work!)

Thanks for the information. I installed Teijak's ROM yesterday - my first impression is very good (fast!). My only (little) concern is about the amount of free RAM (I guess because of the pagepool size?) - but let's wait and see.
The official HTC 6.1 ROM was really disappointing me (unstable, performance very different).

just change the PagePool Size to Dynamic with the Page Pool Patcher Tool. And you will get ~55 MByte Free of RAM. And the Device will going to be awesome fast ;-)
What i miss in this cooked Rom is a pre installed VOIP configuration and the Live Messenger.

first, yes I am a nooby. But never-the-less I managed to flash the V5 yesterday night together with HardSPL 3.59. Radio is 1.65.16.25. Before this upgrade I was running the official HTC 6.1 upgrade.
I have changed the page pool to 6MB. My impression: this ROM really rocks!!! Even with this low page pool it is much better than anything I run until now.

BTW, I am located in the Munich are and Vodafone customer...

Impressions-The first ROM based off of the HTC DIAMOND. While the other DIAMOND ROMs have come along way, this one is kind of stuck in limbo. It is fast and stable, but hasnt been updated in a while.

Impressions-This is one of the older DIAMOND based ROMs, and in my opinion, not one of the better ones. I had bad experiences with this one personally. I have had other people tell me that it works great for them, so go figure. This ROM however does include the very nice Windows Vista theme pre-installed, so it is one of the better looking ROMs out there, as well as a plethora of programs.

Impressions-Ahh, the old Black Diamond TOUCH ROM. If you WANT to use the touch screen, then there is no better ROM for you. This is a VERY old build, but as far as I can find, this is the newest build here. It still works well for what it is, and it has a great track record for stability.

Impressions:Wow, I didnt think that their would ever be a true challenger to TNTs throne, but here it is folks. Apart from S.V.I.'s HORNET series, this has got to be one of the most full featured ROMs out there. Its got Manilla 2D built in, and it optimized accordingly for it. It has also got most of the HTC Opal programs and hacks pre-installed. It IS the definitive complete TF2D ROM in my opinion.

Impressions:Another GREAT ROM that includes Manilla 2D. Its got one of the coolest bootscreen animations that I have ever seen, and is SUPER smooth as far as M2D is concerned. The only reason why it gets half a point knocked off(4.0 instead of 4.5) is because of the older build number(19588), which is the cookers choice I know, but if this was 20273, it would most definately be a 4.5!

Impressions:The man, the legend, the ROM god has done it again! I don't understand how, but S.V.I has improved his HORNET series TREMENDOUSLY in this release! This newest ROM comes in two versions, one with Windows Live, and one without....which is a feature that many have always wanted, but few cooks have ever delivered. He has also managed to remove over 300 useless files from the Windows folder, which makes boot time, folder switching time, everything loads faster...simply because Windows doesnt have to load all of those files anymore! The only downside that I can find is that the customization at the begining is quite long, but it is worth it people! The only other ROM besides TNT to get a 5 out of 5!

i'd have to say i like 20273 Hornet 0.1 a lot very fast and very stable i had a lot of issues running beta 3 of TNT it seems like hornet .1 might be my last rom my wizard battery charging input is becoming lose making it harder for me to charge my phone and install roms

Hornet V1 has for me issues too in batt just... remove all the batt indicators, like Ariel's and Quick menu... sorry for the tip. I already wrote it on ROM hornets thread.
Hornet V2 is more Vanilla and has a little taste of DIAMOND, non honey HEHEHEHE. I like it much more than V1 so lets wait the V3.
Yes I think that more colors and bold resize da letters it could helps to read cause at simply seen it makes me get bored...

Hey Ray_jai, I am currently out of word space in that post, and I forgot to reserve some under it, so I am in talks with a mod to get me some reserved posts under the first one, I am then gonna add the rest of the ROMs that I havent gotten to yet!

well it looks like my wizard lost it's battle with trying to keep a charge
i'm looking on line to find tutorials on how to take apart my wizard so i can see if i can solder the battery connection tip back on

It should then be in the drop down list of search engines to choose from.

I think this is a GREAT idea but needs MUCH MORE ROMS and links. These are the one's that, I assume, are still in development but there are plenty of "oldies but goodies" that should be also added. Also, this isn't a major issue, but if you put spaces between "link=" and "actual link" then you can click on the links instead of copying and pasting them. Just a couple suggestions but again EXCELLENT IDEA and this SHOULD BE STICKIED!!!
The wizard thread sections are getting too way fat like my old lady, lol!
