Does anyone know if the MDA Compact IV will fit in this dock okay
http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=169530
Or does anyone know of other docks compatible with this phone? All the ones i've seen have "diamonds" in the bottom corners to fit with the "diamond type dents" in the bottom of the Touch Diamond with the Compact IV doesn't have
Thanks
How about a cradle Station like this?

I've got the dock and I'm getting my MDA tomorrow, so I'll try and report back.
Check this one out

Ideally i'd prefer one of the 3rd party socks because they're cheaper and can support second batterys or being plugged into the mains and a computer at the same time. However, I'm not even sure if the Official one will support an MDA Compact IV as their shell is different and it says it supports the Touch Diamond.
Let me know how it goes vasil

well i was making a little research to see if i could find some internal photos of both the faraday and the tmobile sda,and so i found them after that i took my time looking for the wifi bga's and so i found them there right below the lcd , after looking at both motherboards i came upon the conclusion that there exactly the same(i know there both tornados) and so i though that since there both the same i could take the mobo of the sda and plug the keyboard panel of the faraday thus making my faraday wifi enable but question is will the mobo of the sda accept the keyboard panel of the faraday?? anyways here are some pics of the two mobos showing the faraday mobo non wifi and the sda wifi enable.

I took the motherboard from my Tornado (T-mobile sda USA) and put it in my Faraday (Cingular 2125) and it worked fine. I like the form factor of the Faraday better, and I wish they would have made it an option...
nice i never though someone would answer my question thx mate now i know it works
Did the same to my Qtek 8310, the joystick was playing up so I swapped cases with my spare SPV C600.

Hi all,
Just a small discovery ; or maybe someone had already realised it !!http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/eek.gif
Anyway, posting for all to benefit.
I was looking to buy another charger for travelling and discovered that you can actually fit the mini-USD charger (those meant for Motorola) to the HTC !! There is no resistance and seems to plug and fit well too !!
(think those chinese made phones are also using mini-USD charger, so there is plenty in the market... not just Motorola.)
Had tried charging the HTC Diamond with Motorola charger and also used the Motorola data cable with success too !!
Anyway hope it helps save some cost.
PS : HTC charger are too expensive anyway.

Can some one try the earphone with mini-USB and see if it works too ?http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/confused.gif
You might want to search before starting new threads. And you probably can find a lot of info in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413122
Discovery !!!
Good morning bro... and have a nice day..
Opps sorry, so it had been discovered earlier.
Thought of sharing.
lol I have been using standard mini usb since my first wm phone some qtek **** which i dont even remember.
Hi,
I'm looking for a wired headset with a 3.5mm jack and multimedia buttons. NO BLUETOOTH..
I had the rc-e100 or something, the black one... but it was a broken model.. its crap! i had it for two months and it kept on sucking more and more..
the shop said more people had the same problem:
keys on the remote didn't work. so they took it back and i got my money back...
Now i'm looking for a different one, does anyone have any ideas?
I use that exact same one. For me it's perfect! Good sound an no problems after a few months! (hope it stays that way)
I'm affraid your only other option is the U110 (wich lacks the buttons) as i don't know of an other remote with multimedia-buttons like the e-100. (at least not an official HTC product)

i already bought the e100... couldnt find ANYTHING else...
wish they'd make more kinds of 'em...
but on the good side this one is working correctly for the past 7 hrs of listening music and a 8 minute call.. hope it will work a long time...
i dont get why there is only ONE kind of remote.. and only from htc, its a windows mobile cellphone so if other brands would make headsets that use miniusb it would sell i think... this one is kind of bulky, i had the sony ericsson hpm82 (i think) and it was perfect (with my old SEk750)
hope some manufacturer reads this
Hey guys
I picked up a XDA IIs cheaply with a cracked screen from droppage, hoping I might be able to replace the screen with my PDA2k EVDO's (I live in Australia where the CDMA network no longer works)..
Would this be feasable? According to http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacomparer There pretty much the same bar GSM functionality and wireless (Which makes the device pretty much useless otherwise).. from what I understand, two identical phones from the same line can have completely different proprietary screens as is the case with some laptops; But I'm unsure of how many competitors and movement would be in the 3.2" TFT market.
I'll let you know of my results when I get around to it.. I'm crossing my fingers I'll get a smart phone with wifi and bluetooth, it would surely crap all over my current 3315

If the LCD screen of Harried looks like this, then maybe you can use it with your BA

My BA's LCD was badly damage before so I have to replace it. I went to a mall and they sold me a new LCD screen of MDA III which is blueangel also.
Hi,
When I recently made the switch from my Touch 3g to the HD mini I noticed there is no stylus anymore.
I know that the HD mini has a different kind of screen which won't react with anything but a finger, but is there something you can use as a stylus?
The small tip of a stylus makes text input easyer and faster for me the these huge fingers
Thnx
I belive that capacitive screen cant be used with stylus or pointy things
Sent from the awesome XDA App
Hi
Yes you can find stylus for Mini which has capacitive screen, take a look on ebay.com , amazon.com or other online stores
make sure u buy the official HTC one!! because i bought a cheapy from ebay and it doesnt work at all, u have to push realy hard to get it to work lol
the official ones are fairly expensive but its worth it
Hi
