Anyone managed to upgrade Orange M600 to Imate Rom?

Has anyone managed to upgrade a Orange M600 to the Imate Rom using the ROMUpdateUtility.exe on this forum?

yes, i used imei check to unlock and and set the cid, then used the latest imate rom (2.13.9.23 WWE)
It is much faster in general use and i am sure the screen redraw in tomtom 5 is smoother. other added bonus is no more orange branding!
You can use a modified RUU utility that is posted here bypass the need to change the cid, but you will still be simlocked

What is cid
Do I need to have my phone unlocked 1st.
Could someone please give me a step by step how to instruction on how the process is done.
Is it totally successful in all ways.ie does everything work.
Can I make a backup of the original rom.

Got my M600 today and flashed it straight to the Imate Rom. Always prefered the Imate software.
No you dont need to unlock the phone before flashing. just search the forum for the guide and file needed to flash any Rom. Very easy.

i have a spv c600 from orangre fr.
ROM : 2.0.11.0
OPERATOR:11.2.21.5
RADIO:4.0.13.16_01.03.00
how can i change the rom ?(is not accepting roms, only orange)
how can i unlock it?(but not with spv services....don t work. i need a application like those for the qtek s200 or qtek 9100 named loiwikiz)

I've updated my DUTCH SPV C600 with the iMate ROM and any others ,but unsuccessful,Warning ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID
However after applying the update, I can't run the regeditSTG application, I get a 'Access denied. The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate'
Anyone got any ideas?

I'm in the same boat. I have the Orange SPV C600 and need to application unlock as I can't get my Audible Player to work....

Update: I emailed Orange and they sent me the "Security Level" tool to application unlock my phone. I ran it and put "security disabled" and it confirmed a success.
Unfortunately, it seems not to have made any change. I still cannot installe regedit and still get error msgs when trying to run spv services.
Anyone else come across this problem? I checked the IMEI and it is correct...

I'll refresh topic cos on the web is very small number of sides, that can help in this problem.
I've got Rom from Orange UK AKU2. In this rom is black list of apps(registry editors,etc.), so unlocking phone wont help..;/ .... but...
On Orange Fr site U can register and recive app generated specially for Ur phone(by IMEI) which COMPLETELLY removes apps lock, and black list:]

I read the entire post. It is NOT a CID unlock, basically the guy just ran aWizard and ignored the error of CID unlock error. The screen says CID unlock success, but it doesnt really unlock CID. rest explains what roms he used to update his O2 xda. Mostly are in Simplified Chinese ROM. Nothing special or new in that post. Search is still on.

If you want to install a new ROM then there is no need to unlock CID. This procedure explains a method for updating all components except IPL/SPL on a Wizard. The same procedure and the same tools in the document can be used on a Prophet.
Pay attention to the warnings on the first page though. The procedure is not trivial so make sure you know what you are doing before you actually do it!

Yep! Works well, as long as you try AKU2.x or better for the OS module. It didn't work with i-mate's old 1.2 ROM for JAMin but that just confirms what the article says. Everything else I've tried so far worked.

I have used the procedure tonight and all worked perfectly!
Enough simple and with no unpgrading problems!
Now I have Italian rom on my device!

Yes that rom and the configuration is the SAME of K-Jam (i had a 02 Mini S before thiefed :-(( )

Probably I made something wrong, my device is DEAD!!! I have been severals hours to fix it but no way.
Now I can see the device in boot loader mode (3 colors)

You have missmatch in IPL and SPL version.
Your IPL is corresponding to DOC G3, but SPL DOC G4.
This should not be the case. What was your original DOC?
Do you have USB connection when in rainbow screen?

No, I don't have a USB connection. Tonight I was thinking and I going to try to put the ROM stop at bootloader. Let me try it now. As soon as I have some news I'll post it. Thanks!

I just finish to download the Dopod 818 Pro Rom stop at bootloader fix but now the problem is getting biger, I mean, the battery is empty, so I can not charge the device with the USB or AC cable. I have to find a battery to try with this Rom. Or go to the technical support and try to fix it.
The screen is on and of by it self efvery couple minutes (just for a while)

Finally I got a charged battery from my brothyer and I started to download the mentioned rom, but at 80% stop, I get an error message.
ERROR 326 Invalid Command. This NBF file cannot be used for your PDA Phoen. Please check your NBF.
How could I do? Suggestions???

I made a call phone to the service mantenience and I have a date to try to fix it. I'm affraid they are going to tell me something I don't like to heard, but...
Now I'm going to start a new life without my Prophet for a few days, or at least, hope so.

Orange SPV C600 Application Unlock

Hi Peeps,
I have been researching many websites without any luck. I am new to Windows Mobile devices and looking for some assistance in Application Unlocking the C600/Tornado.
I have seen some posts about flashing it with the Imate ROM. The phone itself is sim unlocked however I am trying to install some third party applications and it is stating I don't have enough permissions.
I have tried various Registry editors but they won't install.
Can anyone help?

I have tried using the HTC Unlocker. It states unable to open regedit.exe. I have also tried SDA_Applicationunlock.exe I get the message "Phone is not unlockable".
This is driving me crazy, can anyone help.

Hey guys
I have followed the above steps to unlock my phone, and I'm still gettting an "Invalid Sim card" error.
I have tried just about every unlocking app or method there is, and still no luck. I have a new SPV C600 which I got on an Orange contract about a year ago. And it's security locked so I can't edit the registry, and I can't install any certificates either.
And though I tried the 1, 2, 3 step method above, and tho it told me it was successfull on all 3 steps, my O2 sim card still doesn't work.
Waahhaaaa....

Hi Guys,
I've been trying to unlock my SPV C600 following the instructions mentioned above. However, in order to complete these 3 steps, seems that I need an additional application to open the file extension .cpf found on steps 1 and 3.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with addtional download or instructions to solve to my issue pleaaaaase.
Also, should I put a different simcard, orange simcard or leave without simcard while I run the application on the phone?

hmmm i have also tried almost every way of application unlocking on the internet
i have a SPV C600 and i cant open regedit.exe
these 3 applications havent worked for me unfortunately
any other ideas caus im all out and im on the brink of giving up

GUYz MY PROBLEM IS HUGE. I AM STUCKED ON A THREE COLOUR SCREEN ON MY SPV C600 CEEL WHILE I WAS TRYING TO UPGRADE IT. THE ONLY ROM THAT SEEMS TO WORK , ONLY STOP AT 2% (WM5) DURING THE PROCESS. WAT SHLD I DO. I HAVE BEEN ON THIS FOR ABOUT 2WEEKS. PLZZZZZZ HEP [email protected] IS MA EMAIL

Seems like the same story over and over again... sigh.
You first must get access to the old OS again. As you have not succeeded in doing any upgrade yet, the old OS should still be there. Do a hard-reset:
1.) switch off
2.) press l+r softkey + keep pressed until a next step tells to release them
3.) switch on device
4.) wait for white screen with advice on hard-reset, release L+R softkeys
5.) press key for hard-reset (should be 0)
Device reboots to old OS.
When old OS is up you MUST(!) application unlock the device before you can do anything else. The Orange devices are especially resistant to allow this crucial first step. I have no such device, but key to success is that SDA Application unlock tells that your device is successfully unlocked.
Look for C600 Unlock to find dedicated instructions.
Mind that after the application Unlock you need also the CID Unlock and (if SIM locked) also the SIM Unlock. All is possible for free, so no need to spend money for that.

Okay, here it is:
My cousin has a S200 and i have a wizard, i went to him and he said "Oh yea, of course i know how", so we used a program i think Sspl and to the left there was a picture of his prophet and we pressed "upgrade" so my problem is now that i have a strange rom on my phone, and belive me, its VERY slow and when i want to see battery status it says "Unknown" and it doesnt recharge i think (No orange light). My phone is CID locked, so i want to unlock it, but when connecting to a computer it doesnt connect proberly. Fx. in Wizard service Tool i can "Enab. Rapi + Unsigned Apps" but i cant Read Cid, it says my device isnt connected. (Wish i could before) so i need help down grading to my old software and unlocking and finally, flash it to a touch...
