HELP...VERY URGENT!!

Guys i did a very stupid thing this evening. I flashed my Imate Jam using the MAupgrade_No ID and the Greek Qtek firmware.
The flashing was good but now my Jam cant go pass the first screen and continuously reboots. It says something about illegal rom used....and reboots
Any solution to bring back to the former situation?
Please respond...i am really desperate

OK i figured out how. On my panic i couldn't even think.

But how could i get past this problem with the greek version qtek rom? It is locked and although it lets me upgrade (using the No-ID) on the first reboot after flashing it rebbots all the time.

Yep proteus3000uk,
Get yourself a shipped rom from your own provider. Put your magician into bootloader (camera & power & softreset until it reads serial or usb, there will be no backlight) uncheck usb in the connection settings from activesync on your PC & connect usb. Now it will read usb. Start the shipped rom program.
Or download a dumped or Big Storage rom & follow sd-card
flash method including the copy of your id from (first 420 bytes or so from your own romdump).
Or send it back and pray/beg for warrenty.
First two options are preferred off course. I 'repaired' mine with the first option, while I only had a black screen. So no OS or whatever on the rom.

Well i think that the Greek Qtek ROM is the only ROM worldwide that is edited from its programmers to run a phone version check, even after it lets you install it on your phone.
If it finds a phone version other than Qtek (in my case Imate Jam) the phone cant get past the initial splash screen and keeps rebooting for ever!

Then put it into bootloader and flash it wit an i-mate rom. Dumped, shipped or BIG storage and get rid of this Qtek ... rom.
Have you tried anything else than this qtek rom and what were the results?

The original english tom (WWE) works just fine (as it should anyway). The thing is i was trying to install the qtek GREEK rom in order to have proper Greek on my phone.
Unfortunately the suckers have locked the greek qtek rom and they have compiled the actual lock into the rom itself.
Although the rom is installed just fine using the No_Id prog, at the first reboot the phone hungs and then reboots for ever!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I belief you can actually revert your magician back to the WWE rom and now you want help for unlocking of the Greek qtek rom.
This doesn't sound VERY URGENT to me, cause you can use your device only not in proper Greek, OK?
Can't help you with the unlocking though, maybe Buzz, Anansky or one of the other bright developers can.

WM6 on a Dutch MDA Vario

Hi all!
I really want to get start using WM6!
I have read almost every topic on unlocking and updating it to WM6,
and still it aint clear to me.
I need first of all unlock my G3 device, i've triest lokiwiz serveral times,
but everytime i get an error with a still CID locked device...
Could please someone give some clear information on how to unlock it, and witch WM6 rom i can user?!

And why u want to cid-unlock phone?? U can flash it anyway with shelltool.
Just use the rom for wizard.

With this tool and my instruction you could:
1) Get info about ROM
2) Extract only OS from whole nk.nbf
3) Flash this OS to your G3/G4 CID LOCKED Device (even wm6 rom or latest aku 3.3 rom).
In atachment there are:
1) ShellTool.doc - instruction. Read first and please, follow it step by step!!!
2) ShellTool.exe with some other files that it need
3) Cert_SPCS.cab/EnableRapi.cab - should be installed on your device
etc...

I'm a little bit afraid to mess up my device...
Is it very riskfull to flash it with shelltool?!

Hard to tell. This mda is my 1st win mobile device and when i flashed it 3 weeks ago i was also nervous. But if u will follow the steps in tutorial, nothing bad will happen. If something go wrong, just get the phone in bootloader mode and try flash again.
I was especialy nervous, when i flashed t-mobile rom to nbd and the phone didnt start up. It just show the 1st picture ips/spl, when u turn the phon on and here stoped.I was really pissed offf, why the hell was i flashing the good working phone. heheheh But, when i after 25 min. (cause, the buttons in 1 tutorial didnt work) got the phone in bootloader mode i was really happy. This mess happen again 1 week ago, but i knew how to operate.
Close all AV, msn, adaware etc.. and flash it.
Today i will flash my g4 with nbd 8.2 8mb pool. This version, whic i have now, with 6mb is very slow. Dont know why, but the phone is unusefull. nbd 8.1 and 8.0 worked flawless compare to 8.2 6mb. ?????? Can anybody explain that??

I cant tell u that. Dont have experiences. I try only NBD roms.
U have to know g3 or g4, cid-lock/unlock ...
ipl/spl musn^t be included in rom , etc...
Read the treads about upgrading.I am a real noob in win mobile upgrading and all the stuff connected.

Are u talking about commanager?? Pres touchflow and then slide to the right or left. U close the "cube" if u slide up. To open the cube u have to press the touchflow and slide again. work perfect.

Men i dont understand nothing you have said, jeje does you speak spanish, russian or something cause your english is uuuugly! so if you want an answer check it here.
So repeat all and slowly please.

First thing, you need to install HardSPL before flashing non-carrier ROMs in your Wizard.
Secondly, DON'T USE ShellTool to flash any ROMs now! After installing HardSPL, you can just use RUU to flash any ROMs without IPL/SPL.
What you need to do now is to use the original ROM for your device to get a working OS, then install HardSPL.

Help-phone is not responding-Problem solved

Hi,yesterday I flashed a new rom for my wizard.
the rom is:TNT.20273_Professional_Wizard_HTC_Home_FREE
after the first reboot(soft restart)the phone is stuck in the first splash screen(where you see the IPL/SPL), even hard reset is not working(Comm manager+voice button+reset).
what can I do-please help!!!

go into bootloader mode and flash with wizard love rom thats the rom every wizard owner should have ,,and also remember before flashing to any rom 1st flash to wizard love rom

how to go into bootloader mode?
and where to get love rom from?

keep camera button in while switching phone on ,,,,and use the search option
to find the love rom

o.k I figure out the bootloader part.
but now how to flash a new rom to it?

got the love rom from somewhere around here
flashed it(the installation is in Itlain I think which was somehow wierd )amd that is nowI have the love rom.
I'm currently at work so I only have vista around here.
when I'll get home I try to reflash the wm 6.1 rom again.

ok so before flashing ,1st run softspl thn flash ,well thats what i do cos if i dont it always fail.ok so wen you run softspl wait till the screen turns white then run ruu and flash ya wizard dude,btw whr do you work what country

yeahh that what I did.
I think what messed it up was that I tried to install ahh let's say unauthorized hebrew package(I'm from Israel) and after it messed it up I searshed the net and found that it can cause things like that.

I mean-I already know for sure I have a G4 device(I used the wizard service tool ).but how do I know if I have cid unlock or not?and how do I know what method to use?(i.e. soft/hard)?

ok as you can see me also anewbie i only use g4 safe roms ,also got a g4 device ,if you can use more than one operator on your device its unlocked ---cell operator,,,i neva go for hardspl just soft not sure what the results are for hardspl ---so i keep clear for now ,will investigate and get bck to u,,,,the rom that i like the most is WIZFLO it got the diamond touch interface and a cool photo zooming thing ,lot off apps preinstalled another rom is slim diamond project also cool rom

Clock problem with imate jama

i know it may sound weird but the clock on my imate jama has stopped working and since it got stuck, i cannot use the power button to turn the device on. However the power button does work while the device is turned on and i can turn it off as well. I have tried soft and hard reset. Please help me out this problem since its warranty expired last month. Does it have like a backup battery cell that needs to be replaced? or is it like a software problem...BTW im running windows mobile 6 on it which i got upgraded from the vendor while it was in warranty...................

Wierd, is the clock stuck on a certain time? Are you sure your hard reset was sucussful?
If it definately did a hard reset, i would recomend flashing a cooked rom, or flashing an official wm6 rom.
Use the wiki or relevant forum to see what suits you best.

thanks for replying...yes the clock is stuck at whatever time i either manually change or the time of the last sync with the pc...I dont have any experience with flashing roms but i have found one rom, i guess the only one there is on the net for this device (http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-393307.html). i couldn't find wiki for imata jama. please help me find the wiki and let me know if there is another rom for this device that i can flash it with aswell...

if i flash the wm6 rom on my jama would it flash since i already have wm6 installed? and i also found a wm6.5 rom.. it has some issues and incase i wana go back to wm6 would it be possible as well? please help me out with this...........

hey the 6.5 rom was here as u probably know ; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492981&page=3 but seems buggy as you say. You'll have to look on imate website to see if you can download original wm6.0 for your phone as i cant see it on here.
I dont know if you can flash magician roms to ur fone, they are similar hardware and lots of threads asking about jama end up in magician? i dont know....
id stick with 6.0 if you cant find anything else.

Thanks so much marsh for ur help... imate has the worst customer support ive come across therefore i'm planning to switch to htc.. i have done some extensive research and found that the 6.5 rom on that chinese site is being constantly updated with new versions coming out every now and then..and the good news is that im downloading a stable version of WM6.1 for me imate as i type.. I will post it at here at xda after i successfully flash it...

Well the 6.1 rom turned out to be in chinese so i had no choice but to flash the Wm 6.5..It looks very good but none of the buttons work and i cant view messages or send them. Also it does not connect to the pc using using active sync but shows that some storage device has been connected to pc and no proper drivers found for it. One good thing happended though, i came to know what the problem with the clock could be...Wm 6.5 showed on startup that my back up battery is very low and that i need to replace it..I'll get it replaced from the service center now....But im looking for a WM 6.1 english rom.... Can any body help me find it please?
