Hello
I was wondering if the XDA EXEC has this feature where the details of a calling card is stored in the phone.
and when you call any number, the phone prompts you whether you want to use the claling card or not. if you do then it sends the calling card details(the access number followed by the pin number) and then dials the number.
saves a person the hassle of dialing in the access number and the pin number, also one does not need to memorise the pin number
I know this may sound like a stupid question but ever since I flahsed my rom to cyanogen 9 my cells phone number comes up as unknown is there not a fancy code *#blah# that I can type in to get the network to give me my number?
I just requested to unlock my phone, its alredy paid off, I contacted the customer service and I received an email for the unlocking instructions, I opened the app and clicked permanent unlock, but it says Device Failed to unlock. Then I noticed the emei # on my email is wrong, the last digit was "0", I went to check my actual emei and its almost correct but the last digit is "5". I went to my online tmo account and there is an emei on the device and the last digit is also "0".
Does the emei's # automatically displayed on their site? Or the CS representative have to enter it manually? Or they just scan it?
Just call, they will unlock it within an hour. For me also the app did not work.
As for the IMEI that is odd indeed, get it sorted with support.
They said they can only unlock 1 phone a year?? Coz i got my m8 unlocked last September.
If you have other family members on your account, switch the phone to their number and after 45 days they should unlock, then switch back.
Is there a MMI code for retrieving data from SIM card?
Today I seem to unintentionally have entered one. Unfortunately, the dial app of CyanogenMod 12 on my dual SIM Samsung GT-S7582 doesn't keep a record in the recent calls list (since it's supposedly not a call, and probably not even a USSD code), so I cannot recover it. I played with a number starting with 0551 and the CLIR code. I might have touched anywhere unaware and unintendedly. I got a text message overlay window stating that "it" is being read or copied from SIM card now, which took a couple of seconds. There was no detailed information, so I do not know what was "it". This is what I would like to know.
Since there are 0 contacts and messages on both SIMs and the fact I use preset APNs, I'm not able to find it out by looking at diffs to my last backup.
Does anyone have any idea?
Any super smart people know of a way to bypass the need for an unlock token? This is probably a long shot but seeing as the "invalid IMEI" message is still a shadow over our heads when submitting for a token I figured I'd ask...
